Hey doc! I recently found your channel. Great video! The good news is that B12 can easily be supplemented, and as for Omega 3s: Walnuts+ Chia/Flax + an algal DHA supplement (fish get the DHA from algae anyway). Dr. Joel Fuhrman makes it a point for low fat vegans to include these! I'm glad you mentioned this, rather than veer people away from Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition- which is basically the healthy version of vegan- not only no animal products but also no processed foods! Just natural foods in their whole form. Especially because of the overwhelming benefits of this way of eating for health in general, it's nice to see more doctors researching and recommending it! Btw, I highly recommend doing interviews with Dr. Will Bulsiewicz and Dr. Alan Desmond, both are plant based gastroenterologists, and do a lot of work in the gut-brain axis- fascinating research!

It was established that 40% of meat eaters are B-12 deficient due to soil depletion.

How many nutrition hours did you receive during your medical degree? Was it one or three hours? Curious what your dietetic credentials are? Where you took your nutrition degree and did your dietetic internship? Unless you are specifically trained in this area, please stay in your lane. Just as dietitians don’t write medical prescriptions for psychiatric conditions, doctors need to respect those who are specifically trained in this area. They need to stop talking about things like nutrition and diet unless they have received a degree and specialized training. Anyone can call themselves an expert in nutrition. The proof is in the credentials. Now let’s see yours.

Hi Dr. Ramsey, great video I have been vegan for 13 years and even before I was, I suffered from panic attacks regularly. I don't have them anymore thank goodness but anxiety and sleep problems are my problems now, I get plenty B12 and have had that checked. I thought you were saying bi-values would be good, what are they? I have your book now on Kindle and hope I can get some more ideas from that. Thank you, you seem like a very caring guy.

Bivalves include oysters, clams, & mussels. Chris Kresser had an article about it but I can't find it.

Hey, good video! I’ve been vegan for 3 years and understand that some of these nutrients are a concern. I get plenty of food and take a vegan multivitamin called Ritual to fill in these gaps. I was wondering your position on multivitamins as a supplement to fill in nutritional gaps and if it’s at all effective. Ritual claims theirs is effective and had clinical trials done

Yea I'm Whole Food Plant Based, and I wrote a comment above addressing what Dr. Ramsey mentioned. Check it out! Also Complement protein is pretty good, I'll look into Ritual as well!

There are scores of ex-vegans who suffered catastrophic health problems despite having supplemented.

1 Timothy 4:1-4 calls veganism satanic.
