I just started painting in 2021 and have been having a lot of issues with painting clouds. I am amazed on how you do it and I’m so thankful I found you. Thank you so much.
I see the connection between the artist and nature. Amazing. Can watch this video all day long. Very selfless person to share his tips and tricks to everyone. Truly a generous person.
Although the video is entitled "How to paint a realistic tree......" , it is your sky making that held my attention.......having tried a number of various ways to manipulate Acrylic paint , this is a winner!! Thank You!! (Duly subscribed and checked notification!).
Just had a go at one of your tree paintings you make it look so easy, but it is very clear for those who try to do what you can, it is the high artistic knowing of where to place your dry brush dabs of paint over each other i.e. dark to light green leaves that creates the true look of a tree. When I try, just comes out as a child's painting LOL, but I will keep trying. Also thank you for putting this one on which is a full tutorial, I am retired now and money is very tight and once would have afforded your tutorials which as an ex teacher (from industry) and trainer, compared to many so-called artists on here who purport to know how to teach, YOU DO and you do so very well, thus I recommend anyone wishing to pay for on-line tuition to certainly consider your courses.
@@preethas7710 I just finished another oil painting I have to say, now after four years of looking at what I have produced, for once there was a tiny element in me, that thought "Hmm not too bad". I found that in my study of great painters, especially Van Gogh, he always hated what ever he created. It is good to be 'self-critical' and MANY so-called RUclips artists could do with being more so, but at the same time, being too critical can be just as bad. It was due to my wife, unknown to me, showing my work to her friends who to my surprise complemented me on my painting skills and two offered to buy some of my work. Being me, I gave them to them, to thank them for getting me, to not be so critical, even so, not easy for me to do. I also find that being a person who lets what is happening in the world get to me, especially what is happening to England, I think far too much and often in negative ways, but when I paint, my mind is totally what goes on the canvas - hope it is the same for you.
@@wakeupuk3860Oh what a lovely message! Thank you! I was trying the same painting again and when my clouds didn’t appear the same way I got frustrated and stopped. Your message is timely and very deep. Thanks so much ❤
You nailed it ! Each step of the painting was more pleasing to the eye until it just popped into perfect focus at the end !! ... Really love the blue grey color of the background horizon tree line that just seems subtle , but a key to blending the entire painting together . Thank you for sharing ...Its a winner 🙌
Beautifully done Tim! There were so many times I would’ve called it finished..and then you added something to bring it further. What a pleasure to watch ..thanks for explaining as you painted!
I kept wanting you to put some of that neon yellow into the tree but maybe that would make it all look the same. I have fussed over painting trees for so long but you made it so easy. Thank you!
Priceless tuitorial! It was pleasure to look how you built the whole paint, played with the colors and handle the brushes. Thank you for sharing your skills and talent with us!!! Greetings from Bulgaria!
That is one beautiful tree! I've never wanted to paint with acrylics, always preferred oils but am going to do this one with acrylic Thanks for your great work, I'm inspired!
I usually read about artists that I'm trying to learn from, but missed your lessons offered, tiktok, Instagram of course. But you are truly amazing 👏. I knew you were special, but I had so much going on, wow. Finally I can look at your clouds online or something affordable. I'll have to figure out my best options. But I'll be back😆🤯
Just found your acrylic art on here love your technique! I’m very new and not very good. Going to start your beautiful blue heron when I return home from a trip. He’s going to be a challenge for me to draw, but hope I can do it, then the painting part should be fun!
🌲Hi Tim this is such a nice pretty painting. THANK YOU SO MUCH . I've been watching Stuart Davies and lamenting how to translate his illusion of detail techniques to Acrylic. It's nigh impossible. But you have accomplished something approaching it in acrylics. I sincerely love and appreciate any lessons you can bring us in loose acrylic landscape paintings !!!
Hey Time this one was great! I'm not sure if this is part of your Basic Landscape Fundamental Package but it would be a great addition! Always love your classes and learn so much. Anyone who has not checked out your website SHOULD. Much Love as always. 😀
Watching this video from start to finish without skipping even a second of it has taught me why all my previous enthusiastic attempts to paint have failed Me (before this video) : Shadows - black, tree line in the distance - dark green, clouds - white “more blue”, “more green” *splat*, *splat*, *splat* Real artist : Shadows - green, tree line in the distance - practically grey, clouds - blue “More white”, “more yellow” *finesse*, *finesse*, *finesse* This was a really valuable and inspiring lesson and the result is breathtaking. Thank you!
Beautiful! I have a question. At 1:20 sec was it water we can hear you spraying onto your pallet? (Sorry if you said it and I didn’t hear. I’m usually watching and taking care of kids at the same time😂
Best tree painting I’ve seen for a long time

Same. I understand when you say child’s painting. Mine turned out the same. This is not easy as it looks. 😊

Thankyou🎉🎉
Watching this video from start to finish without skipping even a second of it has taught me why all my previous enthusiastic attempts to paint have failed
Me (before this video) : Shadows - black, tree line in the distance - dark green, clouds - white
“more blue”, “more green”
*splat*, *splat*, *splat*
Real artist : Shadows - green, tree line in the distance - practically grey, clouds - blue
“More white”, “more yellow”
*finesse*, *finesse*, *finesse*
This was a really valuable and inspiring lesson and the result is breathtaking. Thank you!
Green not an easy colour in landscape but your brushstrokes seem to be very instructive and convincing. Thanks!
Thank you! Cheers!
I stumbled upon your painting just now. Wow! I was wondering do you only use acrylic paint or do you use oils as well? Thank you.
I have been trying oils This looks so much easier
That tree paint brush looks unique, the one before the round brush. Can you share what the name of it please. Thank you.
Thank you!
I do watercolors, but I think I can use your technique on trees as well.
I think it would translate well
If I wanted to follow along where can I get the reference photo? You refer to it a lot so I would like to see what you see. Thanks
My class expect me to do this!!!! #amaturelife!!!!!
