Agree 1,000,000%!! Too bad this music wasn't used as the opening theme song for those short 2 seasons of The Munsters!! Back then, in the 60's, people might have been offended at the style of music if this music was used! Think back to the 50's, when Elvis Presley appeared on The Ed Sullivan show! The cameras filmed him from the waist up because his dancing was so erotic and quite frankly, drove the girls crazy and made 'em horny!! Fred Gwynne was perfect for playing Herman Munster. The man definitely had the height at 6'5"!! Love The Munsters!
I always considered it to be more surf punk. Not to say that a metal version would fit right in if The Munsters were to come out today. And it would still be considered a family comedy. I had hoped that Type O Negative would’ve given it a shot, but alas… I’m curious as to how Rob Zombie is gonna handle it in the movie.
yup - This is exactly what i was hearing in my head when I always imagined a metal version of this growing up and I'm also convinced this melody is the source of Avenged Sevenfold's writing style.
Finally, something decent to listen to while I work on my potions down in my laboratory.
The theme was always hard rock, it was just done in the 1960s sound, this just modernized it.

Most versions mess up the bridge, this one nails it!
Holy
Shit...
THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME
Herman walks like Mr McMahon 😄😆😅😂🤣
this show is 10000 times better than addams family
You have got it right, I did like both but there can never be a Herman he was the greatest.
No mater what style even polka it would sound awesome
Before Uma Thurman there was the Munsters theme and this.
+Michele Stoltzfus Even though everyone knows that. *derp face*
That's great!
Awesome
the Addams didn't have a bitchen 10 carb hot rod made by George Barris
or a badass theme song
Both Addams Family and the Munsters started in the same year, 1964.
+TheCrimsonSkull U are right!,They both did.
If they ever reboot the show as a modern take this is what they need to use is a metal version of the OG intro.
Hello,
Any chance I could use about 5 seconds of this for a Munsters spoof video? I will credit you, of course.
Say what you will about Herman Munster, but I think the one who made this show was Grandpa Sam Dracula.
@ Castiel McKinnon, the Addams Family was after the first season of this show, and they competed for time slots. Please stop swearing, thank you
Is this a Fall Out Boy Halloween special?
It was Agatha all Along
METAL VERSION !
