    ...not sure why but the feeling of reading something so valuable (even though their reprinted) makes me want to use gloves when flipping through all them pages!

    Thank you for your review. I was surprised to see your small count of subscribers. Your review exudes the love and regard for the comic which is usually absent from other reviewers who treat is as a product. Unfortunately this omnibus retails anyway from 250 to 400 USD ! And this for the reprint. I’m taken aback that Marvel only does get around to doing reprints every few years or so and i refuse to pay such sums. Retail price for the eventual upcoming reprint maybe be less than 90 USD. For now i will resort to Marvel Unlimited. Which doesn’t come close to a this physical treasure

      Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated, and I hope you manage to get a copy of this for a reasonable price at some point. Marvel Unlimited is a good option to have as well though, I often use it to check different things out before I commit to buying

    A real evolution of Spidey. Back when the panels were boxes. Always thought Marvel mixed Parkers smart allechy yapping with The Human Tourch or Hawkeye... These characters were supposed to represent the youth who were going to buy these comics. It's interesting to see how Romita develops... put in an omni is such a great way to see it. Thanks.

      Yeah it's great that books are getting released more frequently, but it definitely makes it harder to choose which ones to get. That's one reason I go in depth with my reviews, because I hope they can maybe help people decide whether or not a book is for them

    Hi, I've been enjoying your reviews. Here is a question: what of the Amazing Spiderman Omnibuses would you recommend (in case I only get one of them)???

    • @TheComicBookTrove
      @TheComicBookTrove  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching! That's a tough question because I enjoy so many of the Spidey omnibuses... But I think this series is the perfect example of one that was already really fun and enjoyable from the very beginning, so I'd recommend starting with ASM Omnibus Vol 1 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko (being reprinted next year if you can't find a copy at the moment) and going from there. There's so many iconic first appearances and key issues, and generally great stories, in that run that it's well worth having.

      @@TheComicBookTrove thanks, so I'll start right in the beginning ;)

      As long as you don't mind the older style of those comics, I definitely recommend it, then continuing on and reading Volumes 2 onwards if you get the chance - seriously, ASM was consistently great all through the Silver and Bronze Ages so all the numbered volumes released so far are great to have!

      @@TheComicBookTrove I mainly have read 80's comics, but I want to check silver age stuff, I've read that ASM and F4 are the best from that era.

      Yeah I'd definitely say those are the best two silver age series to read

    Can I read this volume without reading the first? I'm having a tremendous difficulty deciding between this omnibus or the Roger Stern volume. 🤔

    • @TheComicBookTrove
      @TheComicBookTrove  2 года назад

      Yeah you definitely could, and this Stan Lee and John Romita material is top quality Spidey, but it's a tough choice there as the Stern omnibus is also great...

      Just out of curiosity what would be your first choice? I've actually never owned an omnibus and want to have a good first experience.

      If I had to choose just one...I'd go with Vol 2 because I really like that whole era for Spidey but that's not an easy choice, they're both great and whichever one you find a better deal on is gonna be worth getting
