  • I have been eyeing this kit for a bit as I like teles but I like humbuckers and this kit was set up that way. Fun project and I took inspiration from a guitar that Solar offers ,a Type T that I seen and really liked . For this build I added in a few parts, The new parts added up to around $100, not bad. Here is a list of parts I used- Pick guard, Locking tuners, New Pick-ups , Bone nut , Strings ,and a Hardtail bridge . I am no expert on this subject just having fun at my expense .Thanks for watching and good luck on your next build.

It would've been nice if you listed where you ordered your extra parts from. Good job!

Looking at one of the T style kits right now. Can't beat it for $85 bucks.

Does the bridge you put on require any modification since it is designed for string through bodies? I bought the guitar with the same idea.

I just ran the strings up thru the bridge and they stop on the backside of the bridge . You got me thinking , you could probably add a block to the bridge :) So far so good. Good luck

Just dry assembled one last night and the action was so low the strings were on the fret at the end of the neck. Beautiful kit but it’s gonna need some work. Neck and body are otherwise fantastic.

I actually removed about a 1/16" off the back of the neck . ended up about .275" off the body .Keep in mind I did change the bridge . Good luck

A Telie with two humbuckers? What sense does that make?

How did you stain the fretboard and not get any on the steel frets? Awesome build btw

It doesn't really stain the frets plus I always polish the frets once I am done with a dremel with a small steel brush , and I use a fretboard protector while polishing the frets - Good luck with your build

Good looking guitar. I like the pick guard. Was it plate aluminum you cut out on a bandsaw or with a jig saw?

I got a brushed alum tele pick guard off amazon and just trimmed it up with a jig saw

Howdy. I just picked one of these up but the bridge isn’t what came with it. Any idea what the width is? I’m gonna pick up a Wilkinson. 52.5, 54? I suck at precision measuring.

you got to find one with the correct stud placement if that wat your going for. I used a 54mm bridge
