    no fancy angles, no crazy zooms, no sweeping camera frames. Just exact close ups of what is be played. Focusing on what we want to see at certain riffs. Perfect.

    Indubitably impressive, but I think I would have liked it more if you played the intro too, it's one of the best acoustic riffs I've ever heard.

    My first time listening to this song on the album, I was absolutely blown away and had on repeat for the better part of a year. Finding this playthrough amplifies the impact this has had on me 1000 fold. Truly one of the greatest compositions ever written!

    I love how it looks like he recorded it in 2011, same lighting and all, this song is fucking amazing, and i probably watch the vortex omnivium playthrough almost every week, lol. Im requesting playthroughs for: universe momentum, cosmogenesis, euclidean elements and velocity(just rythm), weltseele.

      @@stevieholland3579 I learned it, and holy fuck the main riff was so hard to get down when I started.
      Now I know how to play the entire song, and the effort paid out. I've improved in basically everything by learning the rythm guitar. And it's damn fun to play too.

      @@lashedandscorned Yeah, that main riff is a bitch. Took like two weeks to get down. When he end the main riff section, just before the main verse, that gave me a lot of problems for a bit. Starting to get it, but damn. I wish I could write stuff this bad ass and not just cover it. Steffan is probably my favorite player right now. I so wish he gave lessons lol

      The main riff is harmonized aswell.

    It's always exciting to see you Steffen performing another solo by Christian again please do more play through for the cosmogensis and omnivium records!     Pelase in the future make a video of the making of the álbum, i want to See how you make a song like this, im not a composer and i dont know anything about the process, and watching a video like this one is like "dude where did all this come from?" All the chords the solos etc.
    You are one of my favorites bands and this song i think it's my favorite cause this is the first song i've ever heard. Thank you for the amazing music, hope to see you soon in my city again (Monterrey México). :D

      Omnivium IMO is their best album, Christian is a musical titan. He is a substantial addition to any band. You can feel his impact, Cosmogenesis was great and i love it but this is just on another level, and the next two albums you could hear the cynic/ death influence.

      Try playing the riffs in Chapter II or Titan by Jason Richardson. I've never attempted either of the songs you mentioned so i could be underestimating them, but the JR riffs make them appear to be a walk in the park in comparison.

      If you look and listen closely he plays the guitar you here at the left side, and its spot on! Its some sort of riff with short arpeggios that he makes very smoothly :)

      You are correct. According the first official guitar tab book (there are 2 versions of the book, the first book bound and then the spiral bound version released a few years later) released by the band, they indicate who plays what part. Christian does indeed play the melodic arpeggio during that part where is Steffen is fast double picking. It probably would have helped if Steffen got Rafael to participate in the video so we all didn't have to "decipher who's playing what and when". LOL. Overall, I'm happy Steffen decided to release a video for this song.
