This greenhouse setup is some next level stuff. Very nice and informative.
Well done on the volume balance between the music and voice was great so many get it wrong and it's hard to hear what's being said, fantastic video quality :-)
appreciate the feedback thank you
I've been studying aquaponics and discovered a fantastic resource at Keiths Ponics Site (google it if you are interested)
If you partially fill prior to stapling it down its a lot easier to get it all pulled tight.. the water helps add static weight to keep the liner planted on the bottom so all you’re pulling is a little slack on the sides. This really helps with corner folds.
Another tip.. place a cap on the drain pipe and run the bulkhead through both the pipe and liner at same time. You will need extra seals for the bulkheads at each water side joint but this eliminates the silicone to hold the drain in place. The bulkhead holds both at same time so it doesn’t pull up when removing the bell. Or make do with a little leak inside the bed minor reduction in drainage and just place the seal gasket between the pipe cap and liner and run the bulkhead through the cap. The cap might leak a little back into the bed but will still give tight seal on the liner side.
Wondering if those pallet racks are going to have issues with rust after a few years?
You could always sand, prime, and paint them again if they do, or paint some truck bed liner or something on. But I'm just thinking with all the water in that greenhouse from fish pools and grow beds that moisture and rust would be an issue after a while.
pretty simple. bet he enjoyed the wood working. I am surprised the staples hold well enough.
I liked how to build one, and then cut to when you had finished the second, smooth :D
It's all coming along nicely, it's been cool, watching these past 10-20 summer videos :)
very nice setup. I just found your channel and subbed. I will have to go back and watch what you have been doing. I'm working on my aquaponics system now. lot's of experminting to make the system work on a tight budget. This last winter I used a pellet feed rocket stove to warm the fish water and plants. I'm looking forward to seeing your heating solution. Again, great videos and information. Thanks, Von
Thumbs up again for the hard worker! :)
Thank you...always great to see your comments
Good work.
Could you not cut outside then bring inside and build?
There are many factors in learning home aquaponics. One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Keiths Ponics Site (check it out on google) without a doubt the most useful info that I've heard of. Check out this amazing resource.
So you are doing a hand-rolled hem along the front with the pond liner. :o)
There is one thing to say to those that criticize, at least you are doing something to achieve your goals.
things seem to be progressing well.
the best results that I have ever had was with the Keiths Ponics Site (just google it) without a doubt the best course i've followed.
Awesome build, where did you get your pond liner? How much was it? Thanks
Hi, if you ever see this, I'd like to know what material that black sheet is? Plastic? How long would it last if its constantly in water? My concern is the durability and the life.
HDPE
You def need a Martian helper. What happened to the back brace?
Excellent ur videos r the best I am in Mexico city I'd like to biult one aquaponic bed. Could u tell me how long, weith, and hight is it? And what can of wood do u use, please????
Any thoughts on the liquid permi dry pond liner?
Hi. How do u control ph and ec?
well done - so was that you mess up the length or home dept messing up? - I wondered why you were doing stuff out side - what about cutting it outside and putting together inside but then again space looked tight
QALibrary lumber is not cut to exact lengths unless you buy pre cut studs and he explained why he's not cutting them inside.
I was not sure if TRM preordered cut lengths and I was talking about screwing all together inside not cutting it - as explained by TRM.
I'm pretty sure it was me. I didn't order exactly cut lumber, just normal stock. So my bad
@@TheRealMartian Home Depot often have exact length framing wood. The important word is OFTEN... and it depend on the region. It might also be that they have an "emergency order" to replenish their stock and receive the wood cut for another lumber yard. In fact, most of the time in "contractor lumber yard", the wood is a little longer (1/2 in, 3/4in... sometime even random in between 1/2 and 1 inch too long). The longer and wider the board, the more extra you get. The reason I was told: it is because the wood will shrink by 3/32 (for 8 feet) when fully dry and good framer sometime dry their wood before using them in specific part of a house (especially joist and rafter... especially next to stair-case). They still want the proper length when they do it.
Great work! how thick the liner is?
What was the thickness on the ply wood 3/4inch
It looks like 3/4" but you could probably get passable results by using 1/2" or even 1/4" if you add some extra reinforcement around the rim and along the base. The water and rocks are heavy but the load is fairly evenly distributed so you don't need much material to maintain the structure so long as you place it in the right areas.
Why didn't you cut and then build the growbeds inside?
Hi, i would like to ask if we can use pressure treated wood? How about termite protection? Thanks!
I wouldnt...the chemicals make it a challenge. Painted wood is better
How much dose it cost all materials?
Bonjour ! as-tu la liste des matériaux et les dimensions, svp
Silicone, not rubber gasket. Check. And thanks, good to know.

I live in Ohio where could i get a rack system like that
What's your pond liner made of?
There are a few factors in aquaponics . One place I found which succeeds in merging these is the Fast track grower (google it if you're interested) definately the no.1 resource that I have ever seen. Check out all the awesome info .

I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else needs to find out about diy aquaponics system plans try Tarbetti Amazing Aquaponics Tutor (just google it ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my co-worker got great success with it.
I don't know how he finds the energy to do this hard physical labor day after day.
I hope that it eventually pays off and that he recovers his investment.
you and me both!
Good work.
