Thanks! Just remember, the company filing for bankruptcy puts things in a sticky situation especially regarding warranty and parts. But if the Fisker Owner's Association can help with sorting things out after the legal dilemma, then it shouldn't be too bad. I guess I'm living on the edge with this one but I'm enjoying every minute of it. 😊
I have the exact same Black on Black Ocean One and love it. Perfect for Miami weather. Unfortunately the update 3.0 and 4.0 advanced features will not be released since they filed for bankruptcy. Those updates require manpower Fisker has already let go. The last release is 2.1which you may already have if you bought from a fisker dealer. Most US cars are still on 2.0. Be sure to register with the Fisker Owners Association as collectively they are working with FiskersBankruptcy procedings to figure out future parts, software access and servicing.
Wow. They could at least finish the software development but hey, it is what it is. I did sign up for the FOA and was on the call yesterday. Who is to tell where this might go, possibly end up as the car people wish they bought. 😄
@@btbuildthings I personally was planning on getting a second if the dealers were to fire sale post bankruptcy. Unfortunately American leasing got the wholesale deal the public was waiting for in the retail space.
Can you set your driver profile so that your seat and side mirrors are set for you every time you get in the car and your profile is selected? I haven’t figured that one out yet so every time my wife or I get in the car we have to manually adjust our side mirrors and seat. It may not be a feature yet and have to wait for a software update.
Fisker had a lot of takers, they just pushed out a car a little too early and then the negative reviews started people 2nd guessing even though most of the early on car issues were software related. Service was slow so that upset people and then bankruptcy talk began in early 2024 and now here we are. If the software was in better shape then Fisker would likely be in a different position today. They needed money and it is now very obvious that Henrick and Geeta were in way over their heads as far as being able to ma age a car company.
So would you say the car isn’t rlly as bad as people are asking it out to be? Like of course it’ll have its tweaks…but that’s like any other car. But I am considering getting one, but just am rlly second guessing if this will be the right choice for me or not.
@@crunchbar2037 the car runs good. I don’t have all of the features that I paid for since those were going to happen with software updates 3.0 and 4.0 . That is a bummer since those updates may never come. Of course the future of the maintenance, warranty, future software updates are the big unknowns at this point. FOA, and others are working hard to address the future of the Oceans and to keep the cars on the road for a long time. As a member of FOA I am hopeful that their efforts will result in some unknown future for all Oceans. I do know I have saved over $2500 in gas after about 8 months of driving. That is a huge plus to me. Buying an Ocean at today’s prices is truly a bargain but it does come with risks.
Only purchase one if you are ok with the risk. I was totally fine with the fact that it was highly likely the company was going to go under. I guess now the current owners are a part of history. 😆 I just don't quite know how this plane will land. Lol
you may have just convinced me to go ahead and get one... Great review

I think this was supposed to be a software updated that was never developed.
Thank you !! I agree with you re some complaints
No problem
Windows are clear because the solar panel produces energy from both sides. The more light inside the car the more energy the solar sky will produce.
Lol. Good to know. So much for tinted windows! 😆

That's a great summary!

The cost to charge an electric car in general has been mind blowing. I will do a video on that in the future.
you take one on NOW and you are a bargain hunter/gambler
I have renamed the car as RISKER .
Lol. Good one!
😂 exposing all the petty complainers !
You know it!
