I think it's fair to say the Israel Gaza conflict is an important issue for many people. It's probably wrong that the reason is the same for everyone though. The left's primary concern is the humanitarian issue of the Palestinians. I know many who are concerned & disapprove may even be big supporters of Israel... their main concern is that this will lead to a broader regional conflict, end up having US troops on the ground engaged in warfare, or even lead to WW3. That can be a concern for people even if they don't have any sympathy for the Palestinians, & it's a reasonable concern.

I think it's fair to say the Israel Gaza conflict is an important issue for many people. It's probably wrong that the reason is the same for everyone though. The left's primary concern is the humanitarian issue of the Palestinians. I know many who are concerned & disapprove may even be big supporters of Israel... their main concern is that this will lead to a broader regional conflict, end up having US troops on the ground engaged in warfare, or even lead to WW3. That can be a concern for people even if they don't have any sympathy for the Palestinians, & it's a reasonable concern.
