Hey BB, did the update nuke your island by breaking a key MOD? I was using several of the same MODs and have avoiding starting up those worlds just in case. I have backups that I could restore, but just hate to see buildings collapse.
In the meantime I've seen several of my favorite MODs get updates. So fingers crossed.

I’ve racked up over 600-700 hours on this game over the last year and a half and it amazes me how much fun it is. I truly love how relaxing this game can be and the building is so fun. Can’t wait to see what additions they will have it, they’ve already shown off the Hobbit like Door in their Twitter posts so I really hope theirs more
I have paid more than full price for some so called "tripple A" games, that then are not even full games and are maybe even unplayable.
For this I paid a reduced price, have had hundreds of hours of entertainment, will be getting hundreds more, and the game runs perfectly!
I haven't felt this good about a game since the late 90's!
I seriously don't know how, spent 20 hours in it myself, quit when I realised 10 of those hours were spent purely gathering resources and looking for biomes.
I guess I'm more of a Terraria kinda person, I enjoy consistent progression, but even then I've only put 200 hours into that. How the hell do you not get bored.

Valheim is extremely 'complete' and playabe as it is. I highly recommend it to anyone enjoying survival/build games. Great, great atmosphere, extremely replayable fun.

I was expecting something great....but this....this looks so far above and beyond what I was expecting. I don't even have words for the increase in blood pressure that just happened. I CANNOT WAIT for this to hit full release. Looks absolutely incredible.

The sense of ownership I have in all games is what stopped me in Valheim. I put 200+ hours into it when it first released, but to get the new content added later I have to start over with a new seed. I just couldn't leave all I have built behind

@@AeyakS just myself. But I actually ended up coming back to Valheim and because it's been so long since I last played I had no problem starting over with a new character. It was fun going through everything again and progressing through to Mistlands naturally.

Yes, it is really difficult to decide - it depends on what they consider a spoiler. If it is just showing the creatures you will encounter, we have seem some already, so I'm happy to see those in detail. If it is something we haven't seen yet - I'm happy to keep that in-game only.
Maybe they should have two trailers - one only showing already revealed content and one showing .. extra bits.
Either way I am stoked for this. I have put so many hours into Valheim .... so many.
even when they reveal the updates they usually dont put everything in the reveals so some stuff is usually safe if that helps

This update is way bigger than I had imagined…wow!
3000 hours and still playing nearly every day. Love this game and appreciate all the hard work from the horde at Irongate. I am sure Mistlands will follow the same mandate for precision adhered to thus far. Valheim is by far the best survival game in my library.
I'm sorry if this sounds weird, but I played a few dozen hours of valheim and I just gotta ask: what the heck did you do for 3000 hours??
@@TheDeridor yeah 3000 is A LOT, enough to build literally everywhere on the map.
But on the other hand you did nothing in a dozen hours. Even my second run, where I felt like I rushed through the game, took me ~ 55 hours
@@skorpikion exactly, with one friend of mine we did a "speedrun", it ended up 30h+ in mountains, not speedy enough tbh :D
How have you not run out of things to do by now?
@@larsliamvilhelm i have over 1000 hours in, I could easily see a few thousand more. Most of that is time building for me. If you don't use devcommands to free build, the time it takes to harvest resources for a mega build can be.. monumental. When i played on public servers with chewts disabled, there was a mark of pride in that toil.
To a lot of folks, they don't play games to be a construction worker. They just want that win. Those folks won't understand these hours spent. Hope that helps!

Very excited for this update, I have played a few hundred hours and plan on restarting from scratch the day the update drops. Glad to see some actual gameplay as I image this means things are getting close.

That trailer looks really great! One thing that caught my eye right from the start are the HUGE gates on the harbor entrance. What are those??? I can not find something similar to build.
Their just custom built with sloped wood pieces, wood panels, and logs to look like doors they’re not actually gates
I've played 330 hours, but haven't touched it since March 1 (and just to check out the ice caves). So excited to get back to it!

Speechless! I put about 4 hours into mistlands exploration tonight and I'm close to 1000 total. I LOVE the vibe shift that this biome has, it feels like the most fleshed out environment yet. I'm beyond excited to keep exploring and building with all the new materials. Iron Gate should be very proud right now!! Keep it up guys, you killed it ❤️🔥

My friends and I got into Valheim at the end of October. We're playing completely vanilla right now, but I plan on testing out some mods this weekend for when we start a new world after this drops.

Boy oh boy, mods really can change this game, we had 86 mods on our server and it increased the difficulty a lot, it was great
@@thehammer4607 We're keeping the number slightly lower than that at about 14 currently. I'm quite surprised how much stuff you can configure in ValheimPlus.

I absolutely loved this game when it still was in early access. It already felt super polished with almost no problems. It's amazing to see your progression over the past years and I'm totally recruiting my friends to play together again!

This sound dumb but I can't wait to make new houses or even bring materials over in order to make new houses in other areas too. I love the 5 or 6 stone pillars in the Meadows a lot so I made a bunch of houses from there!
I haven't played this game for a more than a year now, this will probably get me back into it. I'm a big sucker for magic and seeing that there is some type of magic being added got me excited to jump back in!!

Good luck waiting another 5-10 years. It's looking like based off the zones needed for completion we'd need 8 more years at this rate thanks to how long mistlands took.
Is there any chance we can get health and or stamina increases with our skills depending on what they are? Like for every skill at 100 you get a plus 5 to health or stamina depending on what the skill is?
Curious to see what Yagluth's placeholder drops become. I'd imagine they're for crafting staves?
Its probaly for a item to maybe not be fucked in mistlands. Similar to winter cloacks.

Now im imagining in ur adventure, u will find several runestones which contain elemental magic (can be permanent or consumable but can also gathered around the world). These runestones let u craft spells be it, crafting a staff with the rune stone attached to it and u can cast spells limited to the rune, combine runestones to create unique spells and craft the same way, or crafting spells instead of staffs with spells in it which are consumable or permanent.
elements are fire ice nature earth and lightning. Or maybe also light and dark.
If this the kind of content you're gonna keep putting out devs...take your time. I'll wait over and over again.

The magical weapons and spells is such a great added bonus to this update, I honestly wasn't expecting that. I cannot wait to see what they will create for the Deep North, Ashlands, and beyond the edge of the world.
We will see in 5 years+ maybe. Sorry but the lack of more frequent updates with their budget is very disappointing. But maybe that's just me.

I recently played the open test and it was amazing. Ngl, the boss is terrifying. I cannot wait for the Ashlands and Deep North to be turned into something greater.

I would stab several things and settle new lands for feeders, managing my boar and lox farms are intensive

@@Chlorek11 Part of the whole challenge of the game is scouting and exploring for strategic outposts. You allow teleportation of metals and you lose 90% of the game.
@@NomadUniverse i severely beg to differ, im currently playing a modded playthrough with a teleport mod. You still have to travel across the map to find the resources, still have to set up a small outpost, still have to spend hours mining out copper, the only thing you lose is a boring return trip.
So excited but def not watching this, I want to go in as blind as possible! Can't wait! 💚
Firstly, i've bought this game for myself. After 1hr, my son and wife got theirs own copies of Valheim.
As a grown gamer i can truly say that this game could be really 'pro family' way of spending of your free time together, especially on just gaming. The upcoming content is now a topic of discussion about our 'new adventure'.
It's not compliment. Just a words of thanks. The Developers should be proud abou that, how much the game can involve and spoil the brutal and gray life of normal family.... Keep it up lads!

I have almost 200 hours in the game playing with 2 friends and we havent even found a mountain to explore yet. Theres so much to do and such a huge map! I have almost nothing but good things to say about Valheim!
This is just one of those games man. Like you never really quit. You sink in your hours have a blast of a time. Then log off and comeback whenever you feel.
So I see gnomes/dwarves, staves, magic, necromancy, a giant sword, creatures that look like the mighty netch in Elder Scrolls. Just looking at everything, it’s almost like a whole different game! Can’t wait for Mistlands to be part of my Valheim world.

@@Sp4rt4nSl4ya Hahaha My old prp was my necromancer character in Skyrim but I recently changed it to Pingu. You know, you gotta have some balance in life, on one day you need to spread the chaos and evil with the dark arts but on another, you also need to relax and just be like Pingu.

I’ve sunk 500+ hours into this game since it’s release. I know those are rookie numbers to some, but this is the best game I’ve ever played, and the only game I’ve ever reviewed. Keep up the fantastic work Iron Gate!

Hopefully there's other quality of life improvements and additions to every other part of the game as well. Mistlands are definitely a welcome addition but there's so much more to Valheim, especially in the earlier stages, that could be touched on. Seeing how this is a major update I'd be surprised if they didn't add at least a few quality of life updates or early content, but just thought I'd voice it anyway.
Day 500 of asking for Bears to spawn in the Meadows, with similar spawn rates to trolls with little Bear caves as well and maybe some early gear that you could make from Bear hide. Would be very fun and cool.
I would also love bears.
They have shown off updates to the fishing system too
I'm 70% sure they mentioned somwhere that they were adding content to existing parts of the game too
Bears make perfect sense for a Viking game! We have to get them eventually.
Luckily mods do that rn, but it’d be cool if they were officially added.

I think there will be a blinding fog in mistlands and requires some item or potion from the plains' boss (forgot his name) that will clear the fog around the character like in 0:33 so we can explore and progress
