Greetings from Alberta, Canada. We have similar post offices, domestic letter mail under 2 cm, etc. Are you using boxes instead of bubble mailers? What size of boxes and what is your cut off for weight/size of order to send as letter mail. I'd like to use boxes instead of mailers. Please explain this, I'd love any help organizing my shipping, it is very confusing as a new seller. Only thing holding me back from opening my store is the confusion around shipping. I was thinking everything over 300 grams or thicker than 2 cm I'll ship package. I'd really prefer boxes like I think I am seeing in your video for letter mail. I wouldn't have to worry about things shifting or plates bending. Any shipping tips would be great, how to decide what size of orders are shipped in what and how? Easy questions, lol. Been watching your store/channel grow, very interesting my friend. Thank-you, Cheers!
Ah beautiful Alberta!!! Spent a couple of amazing winters in Banff in my younger days!!! Yes, I only use card envelopes (a couple of orders got damaged early on with bubble mailers). In Aus Domestic Letters are anything up to 500g as long as it's within a certain dimension - and no thicker than 2cm. I have two sizes - the most commonly used is 22.5x16.5x2cm - and a larger one at 31x23x2cm. I have a How to video about shipping, and allowing the thickness of your packaging and weight of it to be accounted for within the ordering process to ensure buyers are getting pushed into the correct bracket when buying. Hope that helps, if not just fire me a message via the website or Instagram and I can try and help more.
@@YellowBrickRoadLego awesome, practical. I'll find your shipping video. Our domestic letters are the same up to 500g and 2cm thick. I'm thinking of cutting it off at 300g though. I'll look for these card envelopes, awesome. It is still beautiful here and you are always welcome. When I managed Hospitality we always hired the Aussies. I don't know how many Legends I worked with, but always a pleasure. Only people I know who expect to work on vacation, lol. Thank-you my friend, I'll pester you some more in the future I'm sure. Have yourself a great weekend!
That happened with Stripe, because it opened to additional local/regional types of payments worldwide. That's great because PayPal is stretching on fees and other complications (as it closes seller accounts for no apparent reason and refuses to communicate decently with the person who pays them the fees). I am a Portuguese (UE) seller.
I would keep doing small orders, however you need to raise your base shipping to cover the selling fees on shipping as well, or you are losing money on small orders.
@@seanmorgan483 I feel like that’s the way to go and have a solid shipping costs structure in place to cover this sort of things and the odd rural delivery that costs more than anticipated!!! Thanks for your thoughts always good to hear other viewpoints!!

BSG is awesome. Was a bit disappointed that there was no ladder shenanigans.
