@@rickiebacon do you know… i haven’t had a set given as a gift since I was 10 years old!!! Will message you about the parts too… cheers
I can't believe Windu finally went haha. He's been living in your lego temple for so long. Takes me back to your shorts as well. Long live the guerilla glue right 😂 I was wondering, how long did it take to get your first order? Was there a minimum lot or part count that you hit and things started moving? I love how in depth your figure tracking is. I hope you and the family are doing well. Until next time, take care ✌🏻
- - I got a couple of orders from Lego Masters as well ! - - Funny to think our parts might be on TV (‾◡◝) I noticed you are tracking my orders as well as others:), I have had my best month ever, I think ( I haven't been counting but it seems like it ). . . .\(゚ー゚\)

@@chunkhunk47 and he’s been in store since the start!!! If you look at Bricklink sales for Aus you’ll be able to see that - don’t want to ‘out’ the buyer in the comments!!
@YellowBrickRoadLego ill go look 👀
Yes, the shipping settings are complicated. I've been running my store for about two years and just today discovered international buyers weren't offered express (even though I had set it up) because I had it in the same group as standard. If you do this it only offers the cheapest option and not the express option. So I've selected another group for express and it now offers both (‾◡◝)
Good advice! One to watch out for in your set up.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Thanks for watching as always!
I honestly found the selfie part such a cringe moment 😂 Will you be covering how you check your used parts for quality? What you accept, what you don't, how you go about checking etc etc? Thanks for this series Richie I've only just finished my international shipping and I'm sure I've gone wrong somewhere but I did price high just in case. Have you had any issues sending untracked abroad? Obviously I'm UK and you're in Australia but global is global lol
Ha! Me too - hated that, tried to find the pic for the video but must have deleted it straight away!!! Personally I only offer overseas tracked to avoid any potential loss or issue - and I've been thankful for that twice so far!
Looking forward to this series !!!

I checked my sales, only because I was forced to by doing the bloody GST statements \(゚ー゚\) I have made more sales from the first quarter 2024 to the second quarter 2024, but only 3% ...So I'm basically steady , but I'm fine with that... I can't really handle much more orders by my self anyway... So long as I can pay my bills , that's all I care about:)
@@Guy.Fleegman steady is good, 3% is better…. As you say there’s a capacity issue between orders and restocking we all face!

I've been uploading parts and processing bulk used parts. Before I started I had no idea how time consuming this all is. Used parts are at least 4x or 5x more time. The potential return I don't know yet but my first uploads are looking like it is profitable. Used parts certainly boost my lots and parts count. New sets are way faster and I know the potential return before I even buy them. I got bored sorting and cleaning bricks so I bought directions for a build. I have a wanted list for the parts, how do I check my inventory for the parts I need? All the videos I'm finding show how to buy the parts on bricklink but I have my own store I would pull parts from if I have them? Coincidently it is a Colonial Viper and I remember you building a similar model and was wondering if you might know how to fill my wanted list from my own inventory without checking for each individual piece? Great videos, I'm looking forward to this series, interesting. Thank-you, hope you are having a great weekend!
@@halfmoongardens3345 this is a massive gap for sure. The only way I know (and if anyone else has any info on this jump in), is to open then set file in Brickstore, then open your own store file and edit/comments from your store file to your set to show what parts you do have in stock ( but not necessarily the quantity) and then manually edit the inventory. A lengthy and tiresome process for sure. I have a how to video that show how to do this already.
@@YellowBrickRoadLego I'm watching now, thank-you!

@@Guy.Fleegman fancy packaging. Thanks for making getting it in the store so easy!!!
Personally, I enjoy hearing your thoughts about how to improve your business, what is on your mind, and little bits about your life and your opinions slipping in. In other words, your channel is interesting because of your personality - and the fact that you are old enough and experienced enough to have experiences and a personality that wasn't formed entirely by watching other youtubers. The part I care about the least is when you show the specific contents of each order and speculate about what they might be building.
@@crab0traps0now thanks and I’m glad you are enjoying the vlogs… especially my ramblings.

Peter Parker is looking great in my spider-verse minifigure collection! 41 and counting.
That’s incredible! How many are there to collect?
Great video! It does seem to be tricky to predict any trend with sales - no store is the same and a store can be vastly different month to month
So many moving parts and variations in buying wants and needs… I live in hope that some sense will rise from the data nerding. 🤣
What's the facebook group name please?!
@@JacksonSnow-p7h bricklink aussie store owners
Awesome review of the month Thankyou. It’s worth paying attention to the fact your store is X3 larger but sales are flat. If you continue doing the same thing you are now you’re going to have a house full of lego and no improvement in sales, not ideal, I have seen multiple larger sellers fall into the same situation
So many monthly variables to factor in that I don’t share. But the trend is up and down currently as the store takes shape. The important factor is profit and paying my salary/bills whilst growing the store to reach the longer term goals. Time will tell! 🤨
Interesting as usual. Appreciate you sharing.
Always inspirational !!!!
Amazing to see how far the store has come. Been going back watching some older videos on my personal channel and its very inspirational to see the progress !!!
Thanks, and thanks for watching too!
- - You inspired me to check how many sales I've made in the last month, as I haven't checked in over a year ㄟ( ▔, ▔ )ㄏ If you remember which store I run:) You beat me by ten sales and you had six more over seas sales than me (‾◡◝) It would be nice to have been tracking all my stores history, but I couldn't be bothered.. It's either something you like or not, I get that - nice month then! Cheers
Well its all looking up thats for sure..the magazine seems to be working also..you mentioned mrs yellowbrickroad.will she be on for gifts for people at Christmas
Hi, Thanks for all the info you share on youtube, its interesting and fun to watch your store grow, I was just wondering if there is a way to cheque and pull parts for a wanted list from your own inventory or store that is quicker than clicking on each item in that wanted list.
I'm not sure you can - the only way to do it faster would be to have the parts in a .bsx file then Copy Values from your Store file to give you the locations of parts you have in stock - then you'd need to manually pick it, change the quantity in the .bsx file and do a Mass Update once completed.
@@YellowBrickRoadLego Hi thanks for the advice i will give it a try and let you no how i got on.
@ let me know how you get on.
Another great vlog. I find the small part out less daunting. The large ones do take longer and are more efficient, but I don't have a ton of space. So the small part out of 3-5 sets seems to be the sweet spot for me. I parted out the Gotham City set and it was over 4000 pieces and took over the store.
3-5 seems a sweet spot for me too, although who wouldn’t wish to be able to do more and as you say… fit it in somewhere! How was the Gotham Part out?
@YellowBrickRoadLego it was exhausting lol. Thankfully a couple of the figs already sold. I got it with the Batman day special so also came with the 85th anniversary brickheadz.

Awesome Video. To give my two cents I think it id interesting to see you guess what the buyer is doing with the parts. Ot be cool for buyers to send photos in to share what they created with the parts to see if you guessed right etc. Random question about the storage unit. Have you found any damage to any parts/sets from long term heat exposure from being stored in the unit? I am over in the states in the midwest where during the hottest part of the summer 90-95 F is fairly common.
@@djoptimojoe occasionally some buyers do and it’s always great to see or if they are collecting I tend to ask. I do love to know and complete the circle. We get temperatures of around 40 degrees Celsius in summer, but so far I’ve not seen any signs of damage. I was expecting older taped seals to stretch but not seeing anything ‘yet’.
