I had my hair permed crimpy in the early 90s, my mom was probably sick of crimping my long thick hair every morning before school so she let me get a perm 🤣 It looked exactly like what a crimping iron did.
Most of the stuff you showed came out in the 80s/early 90s but had a resurgence in the 2000s. I distinctly remember having roll on body glitter in elementary school in the early 90s, particularly the Juniper Breeze purple one. 🤩
totally agree. the crimper was huge in 1986-88. I remember my teacher in 1988 having huge bumpit hair.

The off brand shape ups were so comfortable when I worked in retail. They weren't quite as curved but they helped lessen the impact on my back and feet.

Those hair crimpers were around in the '80s. Aquanet, teasing, and those things gave us that huge volume we all wanted in the 1980s. True Story: I got a pink & teal Brooke Shields hair dryer sometime in the '80s. IT STILL WORKS!! I use it daily, and have for 40 years.

@@neko7606 that is true but the hair scrunchies started circulating in my country back in the 90s. Typical scrunchies were there even from the 80s but the ones thaat looked like your hair not really. I am still a big fan of scrunchies , I am so glad they came back in fashion
Surely someone else has mentioned it, but the "temu crimper" is designed to be used at the roots, around the crown of the head and then hidden under the top layer of hair. It's to give volume 😊

I had a friend in high school WAY back in the 70's who was going taking cosmetology classes at the tech school she would crimp my hair for me when I was going to a concert and I just thought it was the coolest thing ever!
In the 80s, I would put my hair in a bunch of tiny braids before I went to bed, then take them out before school. It looked really similar to crimping! 😂😂😂

They actually taught us how to make lip gloss in high school here in South Australia. It was edible and so cute! I just remember my friend remaking it at home for months on end because it was that good! Our male friends kept trying to eat it lol

Woooooooow. The one and ONLY straightener I have EVER owned and still use is the TIGI hair straightener. It is broken in a few places but still works just as well as the day it came home with me at the age of 17- I am now 33.
Those roll on lip shadows were fantastic, I wish they were still made

i had the conair crimper that had the interchangeable plates. One of the plates was a straightener. It was my aunts from the 80’s. Wish i had kept it.

I wouldn’t be mad if crimping became a thing again. When my hair was crimped, you couldn’t tell me ANYTHING 😆 I feel like the wave irons are todays version of crimping though! 😊
The sponge applicator was all there was back in the day for eyeshadow. Brushes were for the pros 😊 We had banana clips in the 80's, plus the birth of the scrunchie.

Also the crimped hair was absolutely my DREAM but my mom made me keep my hair short 😢 Lily from Hannah Montana always had long crimped blonde hair and she was my style ICON
I remember the crimping in the 80s. And the Velcro backed rhinestones that you twisted into your hair.
And we all had the Cover Girl quad in those brown/taupe colors. I had a lipstick that looked like eyeshadow...it was a peachy coral powder that you put on with the little foam applicator & if you wanted shiny, you brushed the gel over it. I think it was Cover Girl, too.
I had a pair of those Shape Ups. I found them in a thrift store. They were black and white and very comfortable. I wore them until the soles came apart. I would absolutely buy another pair because they helped the pain in my back. BTW all the outfits looked good on you.

I loved my Sketchers Shape Ups. Not because of any exercise benefit but because of the squishy sole that was so comfortable working retail and standing on hard cement floors all day!
The conair hairwrap machine really does work, but it takes serious patience and technique. I used to work at a wrap stall and that was what we used
I loved the roll on eye shadows and had them in different shades! They were time saving when I was late for school haha it could be something worth bring back (no idea if they exist anymore)

As a kid in the 1980's I had a crimper and made myself some very 80's looks. In the 00's I used a 3 barrel curling iron which was similar to a crimper but rounded plates and it created a more subtle waves. I did also have the Bump Its but they were really hard to conceal in thin hair.

I remember using hot huez hair chalk, my mom would always put that stuff in my Christmas stocking🤣 never really worked on my dark hair LOL

That Temu crimper is a root lifter. You’re supposed to use that at the roots underneath the top layer of your hair, it will give you volume and lift.

So much nostalgia but that mascara (not sure if she used it though) brought back memories. That pink and green one was the only one I used for YEARS. Also the body glitter I used was like a body highlighter/perfume from Britney Spears' fantasy collection. It was so gorgeous and I miss it. Also I think that colourful dress might have come from 13 going on 30, but I'm not sure?
