Have to throw in another comment: this could have been a 40 minutea video. It was a joy looking at your work and listening to your explanations. Please, more!
Thanks Venom. Ha ha ha! It actually started out almost that long. But I cut, cut, cut it. I want to keep my videos less than ten minutes. I think shorter is better. Personally, I don’t want to watch long of videos. I rambled on about each slide’s composition. Then I realized the yellow-line overlay for a couple of seconds explained more than minuted of my talking. Thanks for your feedback. It is very encouraging for me. I am still new at making videos. There is so much to learn.
@@PaulCrousePhoto normally I agree and if I see interesting videos in my feed, I check the shorter ones first, but you are one of the rare people that can make long videos bearable. So personally I would be very happy with longer videos especially if you are showing your work and explaining it. Such beautiful work needs more attention
Nice descriptions of your compositions. When I went through my father's slides, cleaning the house years after he had passed, there were 10 times more boxes than what you had. 90% ended up in the garbage... so good thing you are doing that now!
Hey Andre. I did the same thing with my late father-in-law’s massive photo collection. He was into mountain photography. In the end, pictures of the family where much more important. I did find a pre-war school yearbook of his. Very interesting. It might make a good video.
Thanks, Dorota. Yes, I have lots more slides -- and other images -- that I can talk about. Your feedback is helpful. I will make more videos like this. At the moment, I am in the middle of moving house, so it might take me a while to get my next video out.
Hi Paul! Just subscribed to your channel, I was a Newspaper and Sports Photographer using film. I may never get to Japan, so your video will be the closest to me getting there. I love what’s in your bag, similar to mine. I love your explanation of wide, medium, tight and detail shots in reference to the lenses. Yeah that has stuck with me till today! Keep up the great work and coverage of Japan…I travel with your camera…Arigato!
Hey Wacky. Well.... Japan is definitely a wacky place. ;) I am glad you liked the video. I have been busy lately and haven't had time to do edit videos. (Editing is a huge time suck). Hopefully, I'll get back to it soon. Thanks for your kind words. PS: I have been watching RUclips videos about cinematography and movie editing. It actually helps my shooting a lot. Watch your favorite movie without sound. See how the story unfolds visually. A great movie will tell the story visually. Gotta run. Money to be made! LOL!
Full images, in that the frames have no emptiness, every space is doing something or means something, I just got back from the Smoky mountains in Tennessee where there are wide open spaces so maybe that's why I noticed it more... love the videos keep them coming.
Hey Randy. Thanks! I was trained in photo school to fill the frame. The of the biggest challenges for me in the internet age was the a pictures framing could change -- from aspect ratio to even horizontal to vertical. Strictly composed images fall apart in such circumstances. The Smoky Mountains sounds really nice this time of the year.
Really appreciated the older images and your thoughts behind them.
Thanks, George. I am glad that it was helpful for you.

Very good video. Great photos and loved your commentary. Surely, you have more slides to make other videos like this

Great photos, lots of awesome ideas, and very well presented! :)
Thanks Lukasz! I trying to do something new in each video production. There is tons to learn. I hope all is well with you.
