My favorite is the Green One. Steamed, Salted, and Buttered....,
The gadget is a citrus peeler, a little fancier than mine as I have to use my fingers to lift the peel. I have never cooked raddicho but here in Southern Alabama cabbage is usually cooked with Conecuh Sausage.
That type of sausage is a new one on me. I’ll have to find some! 👍
If that's what it is, we used to have a Tupperware peeler in the 80's. I wouldn't have made the connection, though.
… yet another gadget for me to hunt at Goodwill, lol 😂
I don't know if you've covered them before, but I have a hard time with swiss chard and collard greens - one is tougher than the other and I don't really know what to do with them. The only thing I've tried is to make my grandma's spinach souffle recipe - which is really more of a quiche than a souffle - and used swiss chard and collard greens instead of spinach. But it wasn't chewable.
Ooh! Good suggestion 👍
I was mispronouncing it this whole time - I was saying “rah-di-chee-oh” instead of “rah-dee-key-oh”.
Also, you answered a question I’ve always in the back of my mind. Thanks!
It’s pretty crazy that cabbage and broccoli are cousins, but radicchio isn’t even related.
Glad you learned something, and yeah - families, even those of vegetables, can look totally different! 😀
Radicchio is a great addition to a salad.😊
Indeed! 👍
That is a citrus peeler.
Pickled cabbage - how can you omit Kimchi ?
Indeed! How could I? I should have inserted some b-roll from my trips to South Korea, where -- newsflash! -- they have great kimchi.
