I had the chance to play Lego 2K Drive! I was hit with much nostalgia so decided to start creating some of the vehicles from the 00s classic Lego Racers!
Let me know what you think of the builds!
All these builds are made using the stock blocks that come with the game. No extra purchase needed.

Regarding the cockpit for Johnny Thunder and Baron Von Barron’s cars; you can unlock that via surplus for the Classic Dragster
it's not the classic dragster that's the surplus. it's the Classic Roadster.

If you have no bricks selected, you can individually select the wheel part of the steering wheel to change its color. The same can be done with lever pieces.
This is honestly pretty neat to see! I do like how creatively you try to make do with the stock bricks ya got... honestly leads to unique ways of making these vehicles!
Also... that background music... what is that bgm name? Sounds really nice...

I recorded it to be the music bed of the video. When making the cars I reduced the music audio so it wouldn’t skip about but you still get the sound effects.

Wow, these cars look great! I have always wanted to see a lego set of the cars, I suppose this game is as close as we're going to get
There are some great websites you can look up with a list of resources and building instructions for them! Lookup some MOC designs. 🙂
Some of the actual pieces to FULLY replicate their cars aren’t available to use yet, but I have seen them whilst exploring which means they’ll get added later:
Captain Redbeard:
Ladders as part of a Brick Pack
Part of the Treasure Chest seen on Sal the Stallion’s car
King Kahuka:
Horns are unlockable now
Feather piece seen on overworld, not unlockable yet
Basil the Batlord:
Horse head unknown
Actual jet on back unlocked via Season Pass 1
Johnny Thunder & Rocket Racer:
Jets can be unlocked via Season Pass 1
Baron Von Barron:
Big wheels can be unlocked via surplus
Gypsy Moth:
Wheels and satellite dish are unknown
Veronica Voltage:
Street chassis to replicate car still not available, but possible in the future
Turbo Charger:
Exhaust pipes can be unlocked via Surplus Builds
I’ve noticed the base of Jonny and Baron’s car is part of another set you can buy.
Doesn’t seem to be unlockable yet.
Still happy with my interpretation though. 😁 Perfect if you want the look but don’t have the pieces yet.

Dude, this was just what I needed to buy Lego 2k drive! Love the vid. Could you please do Lego Stunt rally? Glacia, Sid Vacant and Mr X' vehicles would be awesome to see. Same with Baron Flambo.. Haha!

@@prattymattygg I know there arnt many cars boss wise but maybe try to build the NPC cars from some of the different worlds in the game

It would be nice if there was an AI that turned everything into lego, then it would be easy to assemble.

Unfortunately not! This is more focused on racing around like in Forza. Let’s hope there’s a new Lego game coming with that feature!
Codes doesn't work
Hmm. All of them? Not sure why. They work for me!
I boycotted LEGO 2K Drive because of 2K Games unforgiveable monetization practices in a game aimed at children! If there exists an unofficial modification that removes all that shady content, I will likely pirate it over supporting an evil AAA company for what they did to it!
I understand where you’re coming from but the extra parts aren’t really shoved in your face in my experience. How is the content shady?
Unfortunately buying expansions is just how things roll these days.
@@prattymattygg I don't know. I mainly heard it from reviews and video overviews and it made me put off from looking into it. The overall reviews on Steam were not kind to it either, even after a year had past since its release.
There were a lot of aspects that really surprised me tbh. Especially with the whole season pass thing. They’ve missed the boat a little in terms of building a community. Just all focused on paying for xyz 🙁
