He was saying that Heath played the joker so well, that if you were to watch the movie not knowing already who plays the joker, you probably wouldn't even guess it was Heath. Oxy isn't heroin. That's a dumb lie you dopeheads like to tell. You don't nod out and get blasted into another universe mentally on oxy. Heroin is way more potent and powerful. That's like saying 1 beer and 12oz moonshine are the same thing. You can't distort a fact that they are both opiates and then remotely compare the high. This is true with EVERYTHING in life (Food, cars, clothes, tvs, fucking anything). So, stop saying oxy/opiates and heroin are the same. They are very distinct.

Anyone else notice the mannerism of how he moves his tongue around in his mouth?
As the Joker he did that a lot. Looked like tardive dyskinesia.
Strange to see a similar mannerism in an interview.
    What an incredible actor.

Even though he only lived to be 28, he was one of the most versatile actors and the amount of various roles was astounding. He truly was one of a kind and if he were alive he would continue to have different performances. So many phenomenal actors praised him and you can see why he was beloved.

In hindsight it’s eerily creepy in how Heath says it was the most fun “he’ll ever have” as opposed to when he self corrected himself saying the most fun “he’s ever had.” Really sad but so creepy to hear a bit of foreshadowing in this interview.

Jack Nicolson and Joaquin Phoenix both did fantastic playing the Joker, but in both performances you can still see Jack & Joaquin. But Heath’s performance, there’s no trace of him personally, he completely transforms into his version of the Joker, absolutely brilliant!!

Film releases and becomes one of the best movies ever made, best comic book movie ever, sits at number 3 at imdb's best movies ever list, easily becomes a modern classic.

It makes me sad to hear Heath say that he wouldn’t want to ruin Jack Nicholson’s portrayal of Joker if he was to be Joker in a Tim Burton movie. How insane is it that at the time, Jack Nicholson’s version was put on the pedestal, and Heath recognized that. Yet ever since then, Heath’s Joker has been the one that set the example. His Joker still reigns as the prime live-action portrayal. And because I was young at the time of the movie, his Joker was larger than life. I wasn’t aware of Heath as an actor, only Joker as a character. And even grown up as a young adult, it’s still hard as hell to discern between the two. You can’t see Heath at all in his performance, it’s like Joker was some spirit that possessed Heath’s body. With Jack Nicholson’s Joker, it was the opposite. Burton’s Joker was just Nicholson dressed up as Joker at a Halloween party. So what Heath did with Joker was really so effing good that I consider it a magic trick, even better than making a pencil disappear.
I wish he was still around to grace us with his presence. He seemed like a really good, genuine guy like Keanu Reeves is to our current generation.
