The game is being made partially as an homage to Battlefield 1942, kind of a retro-FPS styling mixed with modern tactical gameplay. The lead dude behind it is Bluedrake42, who is trying to create cheap and free alternatives for tactical FPS fans with a focus on allowing community development. It's honestly a pretty cool goal. Putting it into a compilation like this when it's in such an early state unfortunately puts a negative spin on it without the rest of the context.

There are ways of paying homage without ripping off games, just look at any good fast paced retro shooter like dusk, ion fury all the upcoming stuff etc, all original stuff, but you can feel the touches of games they were inspired by. The goal is pretty nice, but he doesn't get a pass on how he achieves it just because. Cobbled together assets that don't all quite fit the art style don't give a good impression either. If its just placeholders then there is room for improvement, and honestly good for him if he makes something nice out of this.

Charlie. The gforce game for the psp was a childhood classic for me. To see this game resurrected by you brings me so much joy. I loved the game as a kid but I honestly couldnt pass like the second level. My child brain couldn't process the difficulty of the levels. Just wanted to let you know how happy I was to see this being played by one of my favorite content creators.
