Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is a third-person shooter hack-n-slash video game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment as a sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The game was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X /S on 9 September 2024.
Notice how Calger is glowing gold after he entered lmurah's domain. The man is lowkey blessed by the emperor and it ain't just his Iron halo or his gigantic balls giving him that amp.
Titus also getting the blessing from The Emperor himself due to the warp incident, only to be painted as a heretic due to his survival.
@@hartantoanggoro Yeah, Titus for some reason has natural Warp resistance, I suspect that it was always high but the Emperor took note and improve it.
He was point blank when he destroyed the device empowering Imurah while the latter was a fair bit away so Tittus nearly immune to the warp because that same blast that annihilated Imurah only Knocked Titus out with a nosebleed and mild-mid damage.
Titius could give the Grey Knights a run for their money.
@@FFVogter.-em6zz did the Grey Knight impressed when they found Titus unbroken and uncorrupted during their raid on Inquisitor Thrax? As far as I know, the Grey Knights already consider Titus clean and free to rejoin the 2nd company chapter but refused and joined the Deathwatch instead.
Who is this Calgar character? Tried to lore dump but apparently ever since the Primaris print there are 2 iterations of the character.
This one in the game is a Primaris right?
@@rama-n-i A Primaris and Chapter master of 2nd company.
Leandros, standing right behind Calgar and hearing him say that Titus is incorruptible: "I'll ignore that"
Titus: But what is the mision Lord Calgar.
Calgar: Well....... Lord Guilliman want you to find Malum Caedo. He is....missing after the last walk.
Titus: He take another enthusiastic walk through the warp?
Calgar: VERY, enthusiastic walk.
Imagine if protagonists of boltgun, Malum Caedo, is in dlc of space marine 2
"For the emperor!" That moment is why we love space marines. You can feel the brotherhood.
one of those cut scenes ill be coming back to for the next 20 years
The iron halo is fake, he just deflects shit with his willpower alone.
PAPA SMURF GONNA SHOW THE WAY
He is Blessed by the Emperor's Light
Everybody's a Demon Lord until the Chapter Master arrives.
10:40 That was The Emperor himself!
Must have been, Calgar is not even close to Titus when he wakes up.
@@bertholdbach4959 True, and Calgar doesn't sound like that
Rome Didnt die, They just turned blue
Now we're missing Thiel and I Cato Sicarius
maximum testosterone
We need to see Titus in Terminator Plate, really show how badass he is, cleaving apart some norn queens and daemon princes 😅
i feel like the crux terminatus pre order bonus is a subtle hint that we may get terminator armor in the game because the Crux Terminatus means the Space marines is certified to use Terminator Armor
If Calgar was pissed, what was Guiliman during Titus detention? He might as well have destroyed 2 entire chaos chapters after it AND eat a hivemind for breakfast!
Also Titus is the Master Chief of Warhammer, change my mind.
Also, Space Marine 3 seeing Titus as Chapter Master? XD
I'm pretty sure the hundred years prior to the setting and most of the time he was within deathwatch, G man wasn't even out of stasis, that stuff is all very recent in the lore and rowboat had a bigger shit storm to deal with anyway in terms of the indomitus crusade, 3 demon primarchs, a very fucked and religious imperium
Oh and to add to that, G man has no personal connection to any space marine currently alive in a setting (Aside from some chaos ones arguably). Calgar did as Titus was a captain under him. Keep in mind Guilliman was last alive ish 10,000 years ago and as I mentioned only post Space Marine 1's setting did he wake up
Imma try to change your mind. I see Guilliman as Master Chief with the Primarchs being the Spartan 2's. The rest of the Adeptus Astartes are Spartan 3's and 4's. Titus is more suitable to be Noble 6.
Honestly I want Titus to have his own chapter.
So, let me get all of this straight because Holy Emperor it smells of Heresy here.
TL;DR : Guilliman have better to do and doesn't know Titus at all, The Inquisition is not easily forced to do things even by Astartes, and Titus Chapter Master isn't going to happen.
1st : What was Guilliman doing?
Guilliman is not only a Primarch. He is the Regent of the Imperium at the moment and have to get ALL OF IT straight. Yes the Ultramarines is his original Legion/Chapter, but he doesn't know Titus by any means other by what Calgar might have said, and believe me, he has better to do at the moment than go and take Titus back from the Inquisition, like basically fighting the universe.
Simply put : The Galaxy is divided in two by a massive warp storm, letting the Imperium severely weakened, and the Indomitus Crusade to bring back lost worlds has been launched, so Guilliman basically commands all the Imperium into a war. When you're the leader of basically the mightiest empire of all fiction, i think you have other things to do than worry about one dude lost to the Inquisition. This shit happens every day, if not every hour inside the Imperium at all levels. Brings me to the second point.
2nd : The Inquisition is not to be fucked with
Basically, if they can't say no to Guilliman in essence, the Inquisition is really independant, even Marneus Calgar *tried* to actually get Titus back, but if the pleads were unheard or just lost to the massive shitstorm that is the Administration of the Imperium is unknown. One thing is sure : You don't get the Inquisition to lose their grasp that easily. Especially on Astartes being suspects to Heresy.
3rd : Demetrian Titus is highly unlikely to become Chapter Master.
Calgar is an iconic character, so highly unlikely to see him go anytime soon, and this decision of naming a new Chapter Master would go to Guilliman, and it would probably be Cato Sicarius that ascend, as he is supposed to be his Heir (to Calgar, i mean) but also because he was Captain of the Second Company (generally the most elite company of the chapter) and after that, the personal leader of Guilliman own personal guard, the Victrix guards.
Also, as i have seen that, no Space Marine just go and create their chapter like that. Chapters are created in Foundings, and only the High Lords of Terra/Guilliman can give the order to do that. Also, Space Marine within a chapter have a loyalty without bounds to their colours, remember, they are fanatic superhuman warriors programmed, trained, and raised inside very seclusive orders inside a profoundly religious Empire. Loyalty is not a small word, it's their blood and soul. As Titus said "I would die for these colours" while talking of his Chapter.
04:28 Reference from Terminator 2 Judgment day movie
LOL RIGHT
Calgars voice is just awesome.
“A man has fallen into the river in Lego city!”
Is it just me or do the marines that dropped behind Calgar look like Sternguard with the white helmets, hard to tell with the fire reflection and everything
Calgar. I’m not tapped in here with you.
You trapped in here with ME!!
THE EMPEROR PROTECTS THOSE WHO FIGHT!!!
FOR THE IMPERIUM!
FOR THE EMPERORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
4:38 best cutscene in the game
who has enough screen presence to be able to play lord calgar
Calgar VA the same as the Deathwing chaplain in Space Hulk Deathwing
Papa smurf!
I CAST FIST!
Notice how Titus looks like Henry Cavill
Game of the year
Not too sure why he doesn't earn back the rank instead of a crappy award. I think he has proven himself as a leader...again
Can't as of right now, unfortunately. Titus was originally not canon and SM1 was considered an alternate timeline, since at that point in the timeline Cato Sicarius was the Captain of the 2nd Company in lore and the tabletop game. They retconned it here so that SM1 was set 100 or so years ago (I think, maybe 200), so his demotion/banishment from the Ultramarines paved the way to Cato Sicarius and later Sevastus Acheran leading the 2nd Company (as shown in the game). Maybe if the game gets so popular that people demand he replace Acheran as Captain again, we'll see it happen, but until then the video games will always have to defer to the tabletop.
So its the same power source of the pyshic surge from the first game?
correct, and Titus is pretty pissed about this fact too
Our spiritual liege.
I wonder what Imurah saw at the end?
So Titus is older than Calgar?
canon and lore are confusing with the games vs books. Titus has 4 service studs, 2 gold (100 years each), 2 silver( 50 years each), so hes at least 300+ years old from that, but in game characters talk about him being 200+ years old, and in the added content outside the games by this point he would be close to 400 something. idk much about Calgar but hes shown with 1 gold stud and 1 silver stud, but in the books he was around for the Battle of Macragge in 741.M41, where he was already chapter master, so he probably had already served for some time in the chapter. I would say some where over 300+ to 400+ years in canon of the universe.
additionally, considering these ages, its entirely possible that they would have trained and fought together, explaining a little bit more why Calgar was so pissed at his imprisonment with the inquisition.
