I cannot tell you how happy I am that I found your tutorial on fixing my driver's side door handle for my 2006 Equinox. I am by NO MEANS a car gal, but I have to say, this was so much fun !! Your video was very easy to understand and follow. I have never fixed anything on a car before... what a sense of accomplishment !! Thank you so much for posting. Next I will tackle replacement of the window motor (it's been acting up).

Thanks for posting this!! Saved me over $250, it did!! The shop was going to charge me $310.00 to fix this on my truck. I ordered the part for $28 on Amazon, bought a star tool and some glue to put the inner padding back on and fixed the latch all by myself for about $45 total!

i didn't take off the little speaker cover by the mirror. i also didn't buy a new part. the plastic part that broke was a clean break so i super glued it.. yeah it might break again when it gets cold again. but so far it seems solid.

So if handle is loosen won't open door do need replaced or something came loosen or door handle broke need new one.?

When I put the part that covers the handle and the door the lock is getting jammed and caught on it
My door won't close right and if p get it to close I can push the door open when it is locked
Hi! I was able to follow your video and fix the door handle but now I can’t get my keys out of the ignition and it won’t turn over to start. 🤦🏻♀️ I don’t know how this happened. I did leave the keys in the ignition with it turned off while I fixed the handle. Please help!

I am also having issues with the driver side and door lock. I have to unlock from the passenger side or a key. I know there's a short in the door panel. But how can I fix the lock so I can lock/unlock from the driver door???
I'm using this video to repair my handle on my Pontiac Torrent 2006, when I go to unscrew the Torc 30 screws I cannot get them loose? I tried a hand ratchet and a rechargeable drill and they won't budge. Any help on getting them off?

Hey 1aauto I have a 2007 chevy equinox and im have trouble with the driver side door lock. I can lock and unlock my doors with the power locks inside the vehicle and and the alarm except for for the driver side. The only way to unlock my driver side door is manually with the key. Can I get some help!

just ordered the replacement part from your site, i havent taken it apart yet but if i do and find that the plastic clips holding the rod in place are broken are those numbered parts that can be replaced or do the need to be scavenged?

Question...is the rear inside door handle, the same as the front inside door handle? In a 2005 Equinox. Can I swap the back to front?
+Kenny Van Pelt It appears the interior door handles for that vehicle were the same from the front to the rear.
I am having issues with my drivers side door inside lock that just gets stuck and i cannot use wireless unlock and have to use the key. Any suggestions on how to loosen it ?
You may want to see if the door lock actuator is failing and needs to be replaced. If it's going bad we might have a replacement on our website 1aauto.com Hope this helps you out.

How can I do this with the door shut? My interior handle broke and then 2 Days Later the exterior handle broke. I can't seem to change either handle if the door is closed. When both are broken, how do I get the door open? There has to be a way...
Wow that sounds like a problem. Only thing I can think of is buy a replacement door panel and replacement interior handle, cut open the door panel that is in the car, just hack away with a cut off wheel or something around the interior handle and temporarily install a new door handle inside just to ger it open. That's all I could come up with.
