This guy knows what he is talking about, it totally works - just follow every step. Below is my setup and the reason I went with this solution for anyone interested. I'm using Dualshock 3 with the SCP drivers on my Windows 10 system. On games such as the Dark Souls series and MKX, which are controller dependent, the controller started panicking at random times and was executing random stuff. I tried everything software related - latest drivers, re-installing drivers, tweaking SCP latency parameters, assigning highest priority on scpservice.exe process, but nothing worked. I concluded it was a hardware issue and this video was the first and last I used Cheers The Renegade Productions!
God bless you man! I did exactly what you said, and put a piece of tape between the piece of black rubber, and the Contact film. Now my DS3 Controller is good as new. Thank you, you saved from spending $25.00 on a new PS3 DS3 Controller.😃👍
Great video mate, the content is what counts not the quality. To be honest I have again 4 fully working controllers thanks to you, until know the 2 of them were just collecting dust in the corner for replacements. Thanks mate have a lovely day!
I fixed it finally thanks so much I was not even able to navigate in the xmb before it was that broken but thankfully I found some tools around the house to fix it instead of buying a whole new controller thanks once again
OMG.. Thanks a lot. It actually worked. I never thought the solution would be so simply. I was going to buy new controller. Saved me couple of bucks. Cheers.
My apologies Daniel, the auto enhancement failed to enhance the first part of the video. I'll make sure that doesn't happen in the future again. :) Peace.
Thanks man! this fixed the issue indeed! i put to much tape behind it and had some trouble assembling the controller but now i know for sure it wont sag down again

Great tut, but you should normalize your audio before uploading. Most audio editors and i'm assuming video editors have a setting called 'normalize' to bring all your recordings to roughly the same volume so that you a) don't have huge volume leaps between segments and b) don't have to crank your speakers to hear everything. you can also use a dynamic compressor/limiter for this but normalization is easier to use. You should see if your editing program has it. Not trying to criticize, just trying to help you like you helped me. Again, thanks for the great tut!
Yesss! Thank you I had opened my ps3 controller to fix my analog sticks but when I tried to use it after it started pressing random buttons so I quickly looked 4 a video to fix it and after watching this it worked like normal again..
ok man i follow your video. now I resolved. if I can say a little advise... I have cleaned electric contact with cleaner spray for electronic component. thanks
Audio issues aside this saved me so much frustration. Controller kept jumping me out of vehicles in GTAO including planes... One thing to note though is you don't have to temporarily remove the black rubber behind the ribbon. Just lift the ribbon up and place the the tape on the bottom of the black rubber. Controller was a bit tight getting closed but I don't suffer random inputs anymore. Thank you.
I tried to fix my sticky l2 button and I did but then my controller started acting crazy and pushing random buttons and I tried this and it worked! thanks man
***** hi ,if anyone else is searching for how to repair playstation try Alkarno Playstation Fixer Alchemist (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my partner got cool success with it.

Great video, thanks for sharing. The video clearly show many intricate details of the process. Thank you. The music is way too loud, but screw that.
I tried this to fix my L2 button. Sadly, no change. Any other suggestions? All the other buttons work regularly.
