Also, I'm mildly astonished that they made a "Flash" trailer that actually looks interesting. Especially since the "Flash" TV show aired, it seems like they do only two things with the Flash: either he's up against someone faster than him, or he changes the timeline. The former is always dull. The latter ... well, it can be done well, and it looks like DC has made the bold choice to make it interesting. At the very least it looks like they've ripped off the right things from Marvel, namely trying to keep it light even as the drama gets high stakes.
Marvel may have the cash but DC has SUBSTANCE CHARACTERS STORY and will always be superior
I'm a DC guy at heart, but I have trouble saying that DC is fundamentally better. DC and Marvel are trying to do different things, but when they're at the top of their respective games, they're both really good. DC is about characters who exemplify ideals; Marvel is about characters trying to live up to ideals or discovering the need for ideals. That's not a firm distinction; nobody would argue that Captain America isn't a paragon of virtue, or that Batman in "Batman v. Superman" hadn't strayed from ideals. But they're outliers in their cinematic universes.
@@kingbeauregard yes DC always hits even when B VS S disappointed (hard to admit) and Guardians ROCK gold to be found in both camps
I'm not a huge fan of Ezra Miller or the direction DC is heading with Gunn. But I'm not gonna lie, this trailer has me hyped. It's a little bittersweet though considering this is the last time I'll see my two favorite versions of Batman.
