What's more impressive is how he out strategized him at the end. Batman knew he couldn't defeat Darkseid so instead Batman hacked into Darkseids bombs to threaten his kingdom in return for Cara. DS could keep Cara but he'd loose everything else he built.

For those who don't know. Darkseid was introduced in the comics for dc before Thanos was introduced into marvel comics. Just putting it out there for those who think that darkseid is a rip-off of Thanos. Darkseid has always been the first badass

Darksied can't die. All Darksied are like clones in any multiverse or omniverse with a prime Darksied. ( bit like kang the conqueror . ) when one Darksied clone , which isn't a clone as we know it. really dies , there essence go's back to the prime or a prime. magnanimous = generous and forgiving particularly to ones enemies. It is not a trait an antagonist like darkside or any other villain usually has it is the literal opposite of evil and villainy.
Darkseid lost to Doomsday and also was not a match for Imperiex and most likely not a match for the anti Monitor.. So maybe Darkseid is not really a match for Trigon and other elder gods either. Darkseid may be a bit stronger than other gods but not the other forces in the universes.
