Thank you so much, I haven't even heard of most of these, I've been looking for a more europe based company to start with. This video helped me so much. I will defenitely start an account. I've tried etsy before on a free trial, but etsy is way too crowded, so I'm willing to start again with a europe based marketplace.
Hi Alexandra, we are also in Europe. I would recommend something more humble and down-to-earth for emerging artists like Catawiki. It’s like eBay and Etsy but in Amsterdam.
@@VeryPrivateGallery I saw a lot of bad reviews about Catawiki. About that there are a lot of scammers on there. Scammer buyers and scam sellers. I'm Dutch myself, so I can read those comments. I also read they do nothing about it. So I'm thinking of maybe using the online gallery.art. did you ever use Catawiki?
Alexandra Someone I know used Catawiki (to sell photography art) and sold one work. There are a lot of scammers and bad products on eBay, Etsy and others too. This is just human...
Alexandra Being Dutch helps you identify which ones are scammers and build trust with your buyers, because you can communicate in their language. I think it’s an advantage for you on Catawiki. Otherwise you can try Art Majeur or Singulart. They are French :)
@@laurathemajorcan Same same, although Alicante isn’t the most exciting cultural place to visit, if you are around just let me know! When there aren’t travel restrictions, I will be in Madrid one a month. We probably will come cross each other there.
Sorry for asking but which site would you most reccomend for someone whos just starting out in commissions and doesn't want to spend any money in memberships Sorry for asking
Thank you for all your very informative videos. Love your energy! I really find it confusing since there are so many choices. I would love it if you can recommend A website for a commissioned base portrait artist that’s just starting out so, starving is synonymous to my situation. LOL. The customer can pay on that site using PayPal, etc. and also choose sizes as medium. Also shipping is an option. And contact button would be great (which I learned from you - thank you). Keep up the great videos.
Thank you! Your RUclipss are answering lots of my questions. Would you advise advertising on just one seller with a link from my website? To advertise on a small number of targeted sites or lots of sites? I do ceramic art and pottery (if that makes a difference).
Do you do your own art. Why all the love for artists. No affiliate links or demanding likes. Whats your angle?hihi °w°. A very noble and endearing individual.
I had some art projects when I was in art school, but later on I mainly help other artists make their projects as assistant producer. Content creation is very competitive nowadays. I won’t be able to attract following if I don’t get my content out there for free. Artists who wish to promote their works should do the same? When I have 100K following it would be worth it to make affiliate links, of my own products. I want to make an online business school for artists!
Yes, there are many stock image websites like Getty Images and many others. You can use their works for personal or commercial purposes depending on the license you get.
Can we sell the same artworks in different websites? For example, can I sell them on printful and society6 at the same time and also can I be on Patreon in the meantime? Thanks!
Hi Dicle, you can definitely sell on different platforms. Most artists do nowadays! But it takes extra time to manage all. There are some software to manage with one button to publish.
You mean for a monthly subscription? Etsy doesn't have a monthly subscription fee, however anything you post for sale it'll cost you 20 cents per listing. You technically need a bank account so your money can be deposited in there if you make a sale
Do you have PayPal? Some sites allow you to list your work without a credit card (pay and get paid via PayPal). But I strongly recommend you get a bank card. Not a credit card, a regular debit card. I had my first debit card in high school - they don't check your history.
Hello madam, i am a begginer and I want to sell my soft pastel artworks or maybe art prints, what platform would you recommend me that has no membership fee?
Hi, the majority of existing platforms don’t ask for a monthly fee to use, maybe only a small fee to upload (like Etsy and eBay, very small fee). But the first thing is you need traffic to your store in order to sell 😊
Great summary. The only thing is - PLEASE slow down. It is very difficult to follow you and digest information as you talk way too fast, as if you are rushing somewhere. Thanks.
Air fire is a rather regional platform compared to larger platforms like Etsy, eBay. It's a good alternative. But it doesn't give you too much support like FBA (Amazon). That's why it's usually called the 'Etsy alternative' than 'Amazon alternative' I guess. If you have more energy, you should start your own website and webstore apart from Art Fire.
Good question! I didn’t try Gelato personally but I’ve heard of it. The name is catchy haha. It says that it’s in 33 countries. They have multilingual sites. If you are not native to English, it can be handy to have a site in your language. Also there is a premium service called Gelato+ which is more for entrepreneurs than individual users. It does sound interesting!
