Recently picked up my Mark2 and love it. I like the color green and it looks great with the black dial. Honestly the perfect watch. The adjustable band is a game changer too.
@@davisprince5616 If you get a Mk2 in 2023 (released in May so only 7 months production) that's the year of the actual 70th anniversary (1953) and that's the true 70th anniversary watch. It will be far more valuable in time then the Mk 1
Absolutely Submariner perfection. I have owned em all over the years. My Hulk was great but became too much “in your face green “ after awhile. Case, bracelet, and clasp proportions of the sub 41 is perfection. The GMT line now needs a update as it’s blocky super case now looks dated and transitional.
Good review sir, I own both the Starbucks or Cermit mark 1 and 2 they are a month apart from two separate AD who called me, I'm deciding which one to keep or stay with both being that the mark 1 ran for less than three years even though it's a minor change. Also have two explorers 2 226570 black and polar purchased May and June of this year and again hard pick but I kinda like the. Black dial more but the polar is nice and a white dial so it a change from black.
Thank you good Sir! Those are all great watches. I’d personally keep the Mark I and the white dial Explorer if I had to keep one of each models. That’s purely based on what I would enjoy wearing most.
Keep what you like. People whose main concern when buying watches is resale value while still pretending to actually like watches and being interested in them as a hobby, lack all personality and should probably be investing im that, because neither watch will give them personality🤡 That being said, yes, the mk1 might be rarer and more expensive due to its short production run, like the 39mm Explorer mk1. I‘d still buy the Mk2 version of either watch, because I prefer them and don’t care about resale value or at the very least, can appreciate that they will hold their value. Seems like a good enough deal to be able to wear and enjoy something for many years and then be able to sell it with no loss. Heck, even selling at 70% would be a good deal😃 as for the Explorer 2, I have the black one and love it, yet I still want the white one.
May I ask for your advice? I really love the look of the Starbucks but I'm afraid over time i will get tired of it. Is that the case with this watch? If I plan to wear it everyday, is it a good choice? Thanks!!
It’s an excellent choice that i’m confident you won’t regret. The Submariner is one of the most timeless and versatile designs from Rolex. I don’t like to pair it with suits but otherwise for casual everyday wear, it ticks every box. You’re most welcome. Thanks for your comment 👍
Great, to the point, review. Love the look of this, although not such a good investment i'd rather the black ceramic insert one as it woukd go better with different clothes. As you have said, this watch will basically last for the rest of your life, however young you are. Looks wise, I'd say it isn't a tool watch, but in build, it definitely is.
Thank you, i’m glad you enjoyed it! True, the black is more versatile to match with outfits! In terms of monetary investment, the green is likely to do better.
Nice video. Coincidentally, I just got the call from my AD for the 70th anniversary mark 2 and I love it. I like the mark 1 too but just like the new tone better,
@@afvro75 congratulations, wear it in good health! I agree, the 70th anniversary aspect makes it special. Especially since it was such a discrete way to pay tribute. Let’s see how long the mk2 remains in production.. It would become ultra-collectable it they only keep it in production in 2023. Only the future will tell 😁
Grabbing a Mark II very soon! A question: Do we need to wind the crown more than the previous models that had the 3135 due to the newly increased power reserve? If so, how many turns of the crown? I normally do between 30 - 40 winds on my 116710ln and 114060.
I’ve got the MK2. I prefer the color of the bezel over the MK1. The green is similar to the original Cermit.
Rolex always gets the right shade of green 😁
I just have it and it haven’t left my wrist yet 😂💚🐸 mk2 so much nicer shade of green than the previous one ✨
Enjoy!
I've got the MK2 and love it! It stands out without being too "look at me".

Love the green color on the Submariner 👍👍👍
Definitely prefer the mk 1 Bezel although Mk2 looks great
One of my favourites, great review , thanks! 👏
Mark 1 was made for such a short period of time, definitely a future super collectible! I prefer MK2 but they’re both stunning
Nah. MK1 is terrible compared to the green of the MK2. Especially in the flesh. There is a reason Rolex moved on so swiftly.
❤❤❤ Mark1 is an instant classic and not too many made ❤❤❤
Mark 1 going to be a great future asset next to it being a superb timepiece currently
I couldn’t agree more. 15 years from now watch out with the Mk1. This is going to be SPECIAL
But MK2 looks better..
@@LRAMG7that’s subjective. The general opinion is that mk1 is a nicer green. But if you like mk2 then good for you.

The MK 1 bezel on the 126610LV I actually like the look better than the MK 2 bezel.
The MK 2 bezel almost looks like a different shade of Green .

The Hulk’s green is a little much!
I picked up the Starbucks in 4/2024 after the call from AD. I’m enjoying it right now
Great video! I like the Mark 1 Cermit. I wonder how it would look with a green rubber strap 😊

Congrats on the watch. I just got one as well and I know it will be a keeper for life.
It’s a keeper for sure!
Great presentation. Upvoted and subscribed. I have the Cermit and the Kermit but also want the Hulk. Don’t want to pay the premium.
Thank you, I appreciate the support 🙏 hopefully you can get the Hulk in the future!
Nice video, enjoy the watch!
Does anyone know the link to the replica model?
Brilliant review.
Thank you 🙏

The holy call 😂 I hope you were able to pick it up, it’s truly a great watch regardless of the bezel colour
You did well. Mk 2 will be the sought after one with a 2023 production year.
@@distincttimepieces I did pick it up. It’s the latest addition to the collection. 👍🏻
@@mark_n_r Yes. I like the new color tone. Plus it’s the 70th anniversary so yes I’m sure it will be more in demand.

nice rolex submariner starbuck watch review !!!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow that is a beautiful watch
Mk2 is nicer , the mk1 bezel it’s the color as the previous 116610LV hulk
I respectfully disagree my friend! Mk1 all day
@@davisprince5616 Mk 2 pops better in natural light.
Prefer Mk 2, stunning in real life
Can’t go wrong 👌

Nice! It should take appx. the same amount of winds. Rolex say 25 is the minimum for partial winding so 30-40 sounds about right
The Rolex gray Market is hurting the brand it’s becoming fools gold reminiscent of the beanie baby and cabbage patch doll craze.
The grey market is a big topic in itself!
❤😊
