    Ever since I started trying to get better at counter-strike, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of working with a coach. But I always felt like it wouldn’t be worth it for a lower skilled player like myself. Like won’t I just get better if I play more? Isn’t it kind of embarrassing to spend money on something I actively suck at? I’m not sure why exactly I’ve made these judgments. After all, hiring a coach or tutor is an accepted practice for novices in all sorts of hobbies and activities - so why not competitive video games? After waffling for a bit, I decided it would be easier to justify this to myself by making content out of it, so here we are.

    the fact that you are realizing and correcting those mistakes already makes you better than 99% of the people in the same rank, so you are definitely progressing! Keep up the great work!

    You have improved so much watching you move is beautiful. People play for years and thousands of hours before they peak angles or use utility the way you do. Let alone think critically about their actions. I've gotten so much out of these session vods. Huge thanks to both you and Pienix, you make a great duo

    I think I know the reason you're getting upset by the demo. When you're less experienced and making horrible mistakes you don't feel as bad because you don't know any better, but when you do know better and make them it's that much more painful to see.
    Your gameplay has improved exponentially and we can see your skill really dialing in. Don't let the small mistakes get to you.
    As always, keep up the great videos.

    Been following this series from the start as you know and I've gotta say, man, you are so much better, much easier to watch your gameplay. have a look on the workshop its been updated with some cool stuff and theres some maps you can use to your advantage, not just aimbotz and recoil control. other than that bro, keep playing, watching others play and keep being aware, and the awareness will become a part of your game. i've been playing this game in its various iterations for a long time, and the meta is ever changing and evolving, so is the game.. point being, you still learn even after all this time. It's a process, frustration is good but keep it productive. Sorry for the rant just really happy that your channel is doing good and you're getting good at the game. Very nice to see, have a good one man, looking forward to the next vids !

    What helped me a lot for aiming and lift my awerness and concentration is that, I have switched to 4:3 with black lines. Makes me more focused . I don't say it is the holy grail, but might help for those, who gets easily distracted or finds difficult to monitoring crosshair-placement, map, etc.. And of course to watch this series is priceless. Many of us don't play that seriously or can't afford a coach, but needs help. Warowl is great, but these videos is pretty in pair with his content imo. And I follow him since ages and I have 4000+ hours in cs.

    mid will give you headaches the more you level up
    they will insta smoke window, smoke short, molly +nade con, flash peek con or awp will peek you from cat
    and when you finally contain mid your A player dies instantly from ramp and you get flooded with T s on A
    con is generally not a happy place to play

    I think it would be a cool twist if you guys did a live coaching video instead of demo commentary. It might help you apply what you're talking about sooner so that it sticks. Really enjoying the series!!!

    • @dawgyv72
      @dawgyv72 7 месяцев назад

      I don't think that would work as effectively as you think. Sure everyone has different learning/teaching styles but Xbox would have to sacrifice his team's information, which is ALWAYS there, for the coach's. Csgo is a game of chess, you can't coach chess live. It doesn't work that way.

      In addition to what the guy above me said, he’s probably paying for a certain amount of time and there’s the possibility that someone dodges or something else happens to ruin the quality of the live game. Nor is there a guarantee the game will be finished in that time frame. Live coaching is cool but vod reviewing is good because he can choose which game gets reviewed and they can pause and go over concepts.

      you make all the points here that have prevented me from doing it already - but as this series continues it might be fun to try it out anyway. I'm kind of curious and i do see the benefit in being able to have some things adjusted in real time. so i'm not closing the door to it!

    a thing that helpt me in these "movieng around because im not confident" situations, is to understand: its ok to die, it is part of the game. Than you are more calm in the duel because you are not so scared of it. and also thinking now i am at the point of the game where i need to have better mechanics than this one enemy that is gona peeke me. and not just fail like before because i did not know the game well enoth, or whatever reason.

    • @fakuhu178
      @fakuhu178 7 месяцев назад +1

      There are also more subtle mistakes everyone makes and can stop making, its a large amount of variables happening. Mechanics are part of your results but it never becomes just a mechanical game when looking at the big picture, no matter if your zywoo or just some noob.

    I have found this series super helpful from a mechanics standpoint but I think a lot of the comments the coach makes regarding gamesense stuff are with the benefit of 1) hindsight 2) full VOD with enemy ESP and 3) not being in the moment in the game. Like is it actually possible to process the minutia of things in real time?

    • @tenylegnincsevem
      @tenylegnincsevem 7 месяцев назад +2

      yes, it is. and the coach is not really talking about the ESP information when he says "hold this angle" instead, but about proper play and how to start the round, how to take space. What you typed sounds like a defeated mindset. With gamesense (and communicating teammates) you can actually guess most of what we see on the ESP here.

    • @MontySlython
      @MontySlython 7 месяцев назад

      It is possible, because you are taking proper play into account, most of the mistakes shown are ones that could've been avoided with either better mechanics or more ideal play like holding an angle behind the smoke earlier in the vid instead of wide swinging mid like a monkey.

    Chill a bit. I see no reason for you to be so worked up over these little issues. Hit your emotions with the logic treatment: You will always make mistakes in CS, as well as in life in general. It's only important to learn from them and move on.
    You have come so far already in so little time, I am seriously jealous. I don't know what you are paying Pienix but I am 100 % sure it's cheaper than investing 5000 hours into the game like the rest of us lmao.
