John Doan Since no one else is debating against this I guess I’ll take that position; I like how Boruto is in at least a character development sort of way. I’m glad that they’re not remaking naruto at least, right? We get to see how Boruto progresses as a genius Shinobi, what problems will he face, how does he confront Kawaki, what’s the dojutsu he has, etc. I think they have great potential to turn the series into something pretty cool. So far I will agree it’s quite fodder but I know it’ll turn around in a good way.
Ramen guy just walks in and seals kaguya with a special ramen seal and then he becomes the 7th hokage and Naruto spends the rest of his life at ichiraku thinking what went wrong.
Ramen guy is actually Hagaromo in disguise, it's why he was nice to Naruto growing up, while Black Zetsu was manipulating history Hagaromo was making sure Naruto stayed in the right path to defeat Kaguya.

One change I would make: don’t have kaguya appear at all in naruto. Let madara hint about her existence before hes defeated so boruto the series has a powerful villain to work toward that isnt just pulled from thin air.
Something like Madara dying off saying, "It's- It's you... No! What are you doing? Stop! K-Kaguya, the rabbit princess" Then Madara disintigrates or something

I think these are her reasons and they do kind of make sense - She is super old not in terms of number of birthdays but they said that the 100 healings when healing wounds, ages the wielder’s body until it is healed so when you get *CUT IN HALF* you probably age several years maybe decades from that experience alone - She maybe thought that she was not necessarily needed... Sakura can heal better than her and from her being the Hokage in terms of decisions and strategical thinking, Shikamaru has like 200 IQ. When you got her best traits replaced it will probably be better to have one of the strongest ninja that can lead and make good decisions meaning that Kakashi is a logical step in the right direction

Yeah I’ve heard that it gets better, but the plot of naruto had so many places to go when naruto had some weaknesses and had a lot to learn. Boruto starts off with the world having already been mostly fixed by a naruto (who no longer has a personality anymore) that is so powerful, the fact that any of these enemies are able to damage him at all is absurd. I mean, I understand the momoshiki fight, but all the other enemies should have had no chance

I would've liked to see the infinite tsukuyomi have lasting mental effects on people, drive some insane to where they lost their ability to differentiate reality from dreams, and maybe even create villains out of people when it showed them what their "perfect world" was, and it was some dark, villainous shit for some people, showing their deep dark desires and how to achieve them. Or even making some people go nuts and evil. Anything really. It was such a massive event to not have side effects in the long run on the human psyche

Well if it was like with Akira Toriyama and Dragon ball, where he had the entire story thought up until a certain point but then others forced him into making another 2 arcs after that and he was really pissed off and couldn't find any logical followup to that than it makes sense :)... i mean look at how long Naruto went on... you could shave off a healthy 200-250 chapters without losing much of story developement
I think Kakashi's MS was fair. We saw Sasuke awaken his Sharingan right after the massacre, but he couldn't use it until the Zabuza arc. I think the same thing could apply to Kakashi.
I agree, it was pretty clear that it needs to be activated by something incredibly tragic happening. but he probably didn't even know it was something he could have done until facing Itachi then looked into it and learned how to activate it
May I point out *two mistakes in the video;* first, *Kakashi uses his Mangekio Sharinghan early in the series* and explains at that time that his limit is two attacks and that it takes a long build up (i.e he didn't use it for the first time after 17 years since he was explaining a whole set of SOPs the first time we saw it in the first 30 episodes) Secondly, "Obito choosing not to use his Rinnegan powers because of chakra limits while he was controlling six Jinchuriki at the same time". Controlling six Jinchuriki is one of the powers of the Rinnegan. In fact it is the most showcased power since it's the basis of the six paths of Pain. But to be fair, none of the Jinchuriki use the specific jutsu of the six paths of Pain, instead the use their own. Also, Obito summoning the Gedu Mazo is a power of the Rinnegan.
And how did Kakashi's Sharingan evolved to a Mangekyo? The Sharingan evolves due to a special chakra that the brain of AN UCHIHA produces after he suffers a great lost, Kakashi isn't an Uchiha so his brain doesn't produce that special chakra required for the evolution, Is it a plot hole?
Ichiraku opens his eyes and reveals rinnegan and sharigan and had wood style better than hashirama, claps kaguya, chills sasuke out, revives all with ramen, thats it. Oh and Naruto gets ramen too.

yeah like the whole premise of the flash back was that, like he suffered a lot with first getting half crushed by a rock then seeing his best friend killing her crush makes kinda sense
they should have kept rinnegan as its own dojutsu and naruto should have gotten rinnegan and become the next sage. It was hinted at with the whole "child of prophecy" thing. Sasuke just kinda got thrown into the mix at the end after having been more of a side character in arcs after pain.

I believe it's because being the Hokage is more than power. It's about experience, and a shit ton of knowledge. Naruto never quite cared about paper work and such things, he was still a kid after all. An Hokage needs to be mature as an adult as well, and needs to handle literally living at their desks. They have to be able to take extreme caution and make extremely important decisions on a daily.
You got me thinking of all the prequels they could've made and personally I think it would've been cool to see an early ninja world. The Ninja world while all the clans were still getting together and new kekkei genkai were constantly being discovered and developed, things like that

I disagree with your point of Madara being redeemed in the end because it didn't happen. He was split in half and dying right after he found out he got out-played with by an alien throughout his whole life. His whole plan came crashing down, he found out that it wasn't even his plan to begin with. Hashirama stayed with him in his final moments not as an enemy but as a good friend and war buddy. Both of them were best friends as children and even as adults, they were close buds. No one forgave him. The Shinobi Alliance did not suddenly see the good within Madara. They didn't realise he had the intention of peace. He still was their villain. Anyone else would have taken that moment to add in one final strike to officially kill the weakened Madara, but not Hashirama. To Hashirama he saw his old best friend and rival in his last moments. It's kind of like how Naruto never truly forgave Nagato for destroying the Leaf and killing Jiraiya. He just understood Nagato's perspective.
it still wasnt really presented that way; its one thing to visually depict a ton of turmoil, and another to have him drawn lying on the floor talking to his oldest friend in his last moments

In Boruto he missed the Hokage ceremony and Konohamaru did a transformation jutsu to look like Naruto 😒. He didn’t even get to really become Hokage because of his stupid son.
I really wish naruto's last episode was the day naruto became hokage but instead they showed naruhina's wedding which I don't really have a problem with but it just isn't a good ending to a shounen anime. We want an episode of naruto finally achieving his dream something he had wanted from episode one. They couldve just shown a cute naruhina moment kinda like the sasusaku head tapping moment that just made it clear to the audience they're gonna end up together. And since we had 'The Last' we know they're in love.
When Naruto said Obito "was the coolest guy" after all the evil shit and deaths he's caused and Madara getting a redeemed scene with Hashirama, I actually became angry at that. I'd like to have a villain who's someone I can hate and not feel bad for, like Kakuzu or Hidan.

Naruto and Minato just becoming buddies with Kurama didn’t make sense to me either. He literally killed your parents, that’s the last thing he did before getting sealed. Minato even talked coldly to ninetails during pain arc, and ninetails hated 4th hokage then too. But war arc arrives and minato is already friend with his kurama half, and kurama is conplimenting minato. Like what? Not to mention when kurama [redacted] naruto has this heartfelt moment flashback in the anime, and I find that massively hilarious how all the moments only come from the war arc, since every other moment is kurama being evil, killing his parents, hurting his friends, taking over his body, etc
Orochimaru shouldn’t have comeback true , but they way he died was really lame i mean his Orochimaru if they wanted to kill him at least make it intense , I think they shouldn’t have killed off the show at all
The problem with world building Anime is that you need to know the fine line between "too much" and "too little". I feel like Kishimoto wanted to solidify Naruto as the strongest by pitting him against the literal God of chakra. He wanted to flex his character lol, but I know where you're coming from. Naruto probably shouldn't build up its world all the way back to the cavemen period and let the problems then be relevant now, that's insane. They shouldn've just made an OVA of those times, being resolved in the respective period. Even saying all of this, I strangely still enjoyed the ending for some reason, lol.
I remember truly enjoying Naruto up until the defeat of Pain. After that, I kinda fell off the wagon and only came back for a lil bit out of curiosity to see how it ends. For me, the battle against Pain was the climax in the series. After that, the power scaling got really out of hand and the story became a little too convoluted and unfocused for me.
I'm watching Naruto rn and I feel the exact same way. The Pain arc was so damn engaging, arguably the best arc of Naruto.....then the war arc happened. I'm litterally just fast forwarding all the episodes now.

The fight should have been Sasuke VS Kabuto. They were basically roommates, living side by side, observing each other, studying and fighting under Orochimaru... Then Sasuke "betrayed" them and killed Orochimaru, taking everything from Kabuto and setting him on the path to Dragonhood... Dragon-Kabuto was indirectly created by Sasuke. He is Sasuke's karma. Sasuke should confront Kabuto and himself. An awesome fight with a lot of flashbacks (something we didn't get)...
Damn that would be sick if Tsunade actually used Kisho Tensei on Naruto for this scenario. That would mean The Sannin would all be dead and they would successfully pass the torch down to their Team 7 counterparts. This would also force Kakashi to become the Sixth Hokage much earlier on and he would have to be more of a leader during the rest of the war. Kishimoto should've stepped down and given the entire series to the hands of Professor Swaginess himself. This would've been much better.
But I thought that Chio was the last successor of that jutsu and she never taught it to anyone else, if it goes through Swags version chio would already be gone for good therefore naruto is dead forever unless the Rinne Rebirth is used

In the manga there's an episode at the end where they're all adults and Boruto is alive. Well I think the way it should end end, is in the moment when naruto gave Sasuke his former headband. That way, there's more freedom and people can make their own stories. Plus it's a great moment to end the manga because it's actually what naruto is about. Its not about boruto, marriages and romances.
I feel like the entire story being built up with Naruto wanting to become to Hokage and the final chapter being him becoming one, I think keeping it would be more fitting. Though maybe not as an entire chapter. Maybe like 1-2 pages.

That's such a fucking lame ending for such a great and long anime. However, I wouldn't mind the final panel being the hokage stone faces, with Naruto as the 7th, but I still think it would be more impactful to have naruto giving sasuke his old headband (symbolic) as the last panel. I'm pretty sure I would be able to write a way better ending than kishimoto, but these are just my thoughts.

Kaguya is a TERRIBLE villain, power-wise. The final fight should be against someone that excels and overcome all fields of expertise the main characters have. Some like Madara, you know. Instead Kaguya... she's not even a ninja. She can't even use taijutsu. She's just a kind of overpowered mage that makes zero sense in the serie.
How exactly do you see that? Her children were considered gods, does that make it so they have zero sense as well? She was someone purely with the magic of Ninjitsu before it became such a race that brought it to the world. So where does it not make sense for someone that has no need for combat to have "Magic" Power? Correct me if I am wrong but in a way everyone in the series uses "Maic" powers but guy and lee and a very few others. Maybe the series should've just had them no?
Aaron Krzak I think since he wasn’t an Uchiha he wasn’t aware of how to use it until later on in the anime. And if you are wondering when did he realize he had one? MY theory is that back when itachi and kisame came to the leaf to capture naruto, when itachi put a genjutsu on Kakashi, he explained to him the abilities of the mangekyo. Again I have no proof, it’s just a what if. And I also understand that there are many things wrong with that statement like itachi keeping his cover or how would itachi know or not if Kakashi has awakened it? I’m just putting it out there to see what people say
I have an idea on how the Sage of the Six Paths could appear. He sealed a bit of his Chakra inside every tailed beast, so that if they came together into the Ten Tails he'd have enough chakra to briefly appear and do whatever about it. At some point Madara could impale both Naruto and Sasuke leaving them on the brink of death, but this also allows Hagoromo to summon their conscience inside Madara (since he is inside the ten tails) like a reverse version of what Sasuke did to meet Kurama when he first meets Naruto after the timeskip. Of course that would mean Madara could be there too but Hagoromo could just say he is using a tecnique to hide his presence (and theirs as an extension) from Madara, which would be far more believable than him coming out of fucking nowhere.

Good idea but hagoromo was the reason people have chakra at all because he gave it to humanity, it was his chakra in the first place so it makes sense he can manifest like naruto's parents did, he should have spoke of the resemblance between them and his sons and given them power to use, kaguya shouldn't come back and madara would be a better final villain, after they defeat him naruto split the tailed beasts chakra and frees them, naruto and sasuke should kill each other and go down as legends, I'd like a scene of them reconstructing the final valley as naruto and sasuke instead, and naruto becomes a symbol of hope for the next generations.

Although I love to have all these characters around, I kinda wish that there were more deaths in the final arc. Guy would have gone out as an absolute badass. Swag mentioned Killer Bee and Kurama. i really hate sakura and this isn’t really my favourite ship but let me not lie i thought her and naruto were gonna get together in the end. Kishi is seriously bad at writing ships but in those little moments he had ships in mind and implemented some bits into the show, it actually looked like he was going to put them together, given the multiple hints given throughout shippuden. I think kishi ended up putting naruto and hinata together last minute because of her byakugan in favour of naruto’s own powers and the fact that this duo would make a more powerful child than him and sakura. This child (boruto) having a child with Sasuke’s and Sakura’s child (sadara) would create an incredible vessel, So i guess the planning of ships here was with no feelings involved and more of just making the next generation powerful. However, i really do not think the canon ships are good at all. I don’t even have to say anything about how bad sasusaku is, and naruhina is so one sided and rushed and if i get into it we will be here for ages. Narusaku is the best ship for a sequel generation anime to be created and for the feelings to still make sense, Sasunaru is best for just their feelings and if there was no sequel generation anime planned as it’s boyxboy (I BET if sasuke was a girl there wouldn’t even be any arguments as of to who goes with naruto lmfao) and the other two ships are just trash. My opinion :)
I think Izanami could just be some sort of generic Sharingan Genjustu with steps and some tactic to put it in action. Like the Dragon Flame Justu, it's a regular Katon Justu but Sasuke used to use it with shurikens and strings.

It's literally verbatim: "Yeah, seeing how main-characteristic you are, I bet you don't need Shisui's mind-altering, character-changing, mind-controlling ultimate Mangekyo Sharingan Genjutsu anyway. Your Talk no Jutsu is far stronger."
The biggest issue with obito in my opinion is the portrayal of his decent into madness. Obito like many other children has been stripped of his safety and innocence. He saw his friend get kidnapped and he died a horrific death at age 12 if not younger. Now imagine waking up as a 12 year old kidnapped by a person presumed dead and having something strange attached to your severed body. This not only hurts a lot but this entire situation is utterly horrific to a child. You might argue that you can‘t show too much disturbing stuff in this show but Obitos slaughter of the random mist ninjas and his death was also shown in graphic detail so why not? Anyways going back to the topic, obito now pours his heart into his dream of getting back home with his former ally’s and once he finally gets the chance the horrific reality of the corrupted ninja world comes back on him hard. Going completely insane now obito kills everyone except kakashi. He wants to hurt them all back and thanks to guruguru he can. And up until this point his story is going well. He sides with madara now at age 15 and does what he does. But what about the entire starting a war because of rin thing? Obviously obito didn‘t do it only because of that. Obito hates the ninja world for it‘s violence and brutal narure and since he has been affected by it he feels extreme hatred towards it on a deep personal level. Obito doesn‘t want to live in this „hell“ anymore. What obito really wants is to live in a world where he can be a kid again. He wants his childhood back, his crush aka the girl who gave him strength to power through all the terrible stuff he had to and madara offered him all that on a silver plate. The show had serious issues portraying this and that‘s probably the reason so many people missed the point but obito deep down is just a child of war. Obito is a child that was robbed of it‘s innocence and it‘s childhood and this traumatized him to the point of dillusion but obito is not the only one suffering from this. Many other ninja in this show are as well. Their entire system is corrupted and that lead to the big war. In conclusion, obito isn‘t this big child who starts a war for a childhood crush he never got. Obito is a traumatized mentally ill person who got baited into a cult with a plan to live the life he never could. Obito is a man starved of love and affection and he‘s incredibly lonely. If you somehow got this point all wrong then the show maybe failed to portray this correctly. Maybe even i am wrong about this but in the end it‘s up to the writer to tell his/her story properly and if he/her fails to do so then it can lead to misunderstandings like this. And that from a writing perspective is very unfortunate.

Abeer Jamal I think that's you who focus on Rin too much. He always says that this world in general brings only destruction and sadness, he isn't like "what did u do to my Rin". Her death is the most traumatizing moment he experienced, hence it's so important to him, but no, rin doesn't overshadow the rest, it was just the triggering element. Nothing wrong with Obito, it is in fact rather realist psychologically speaking.

Not to mention the flash backs we keep getting to add more screen time of both of them in an attempt to expand how important her relationship with obito but all it does is drag his character down. If he really did snap i doubt he would still be talking about someone who passed away years ago especially when he was like 12 years old. The whole thing with her telling obito that she will keep an eye on him is so freaking extra and just adds more to the fact that he just started this thing just so he could see a fake version of her in the tsukuyomi world.
It's precisely because he was a kid, and the experience about rin dying by the hands of kakashi, even if it wasn't deliberate, proved him that this world needs to be taken down because it leads to tragedies like this. It was his last experience as a normal kid, and very traumtizing, no, it would never be normal that he forgot that. And if he talks to kakashi about that, that is just normal, they lived it together. "the show shoves her in our faces"; the show just shows us the relation they had as kids, with kakashi, and we can presume that they were meant to fall in love (obito and rin), so that is just plain classic. Again, the psychology of Obito is nothing wrong, you should be able to emphatise perfectly with the character: you're a kid, you're in love, your lover dies by the hand of your friend who had sworn to protect her, you are manipulated by an evil guy who tells you that there is a way to achieve a better world even by evil ways, you keep in the deep of your heart the souvenir of the girl you used to love deeply and died tragically at a young age. You've nor really grown up, you were just manipulated, very weak psychologically, manipulated back to the good by a mere teenager 16 years later. You die trying to fix all the pain you caused because you were never really evil, and you stick to the last good moments you had, because you had friends, ideals, and a lover. End of story, nothing to say about that.

Naruto's number one problem is that they are always talking about the villagers and the world.... but we never see any of them besides that one time after the pain fight and the Raman noodle guy. They needed to have more stuff like the bridge builder and just normal people being affected by the stuff ninja do. Even when the god tree is activated like we should have seen the people of every village cheering for the defending ninja and then falling into hopelessness when the god tree starts taking over.

John Doan Since no one else is debating against this I guess I’ll take that position; I like how Boruto is in at least a character development sort of way. I’m glad that they’re not remaking naruto at least, right? We get to see how Boruto progresses as a genius Shinobi, what problems will he face, how does he confront Kawaki, what’s the dojutsu he has, etc. I think they have great potential to turn the series into something pretty cool. So far I will agree it’s quite fodder but I know it’ll turn around in a good way.

I think these are her reasons and they do kind of make sense
- She is super old not in terms of number of birthdays but they said that the 100 healings when healing wounds, ages the wielder’s body until it is healed so when you get *CUT IN HALF* you probably age several years maybe decades from that experience alone
- She maybe thought that she was not necessarily needed... Sakura can heal better than her and from her being the Hokage in terms of decisions and strategical thinking, Shikamaru has like 200 IQ. When you got her best traits replaced it will probably be better to have one of the strongest ninja that can lead and make good decisions meaning that Kakashi is a logical step in the right direction

Yeah I’ve heard that it gets better, but the plot of naruto had so many places to go when naruto had some weaknesses and had a lot to learn. Boruto starts off with the world having already been mostly fixed by a naruto (who no longer has a personality anymore) that is so powerful, the fact that any of these enemies are able to damage him at all is absurd. I mean, I understand the momoshiki fight, but all the other enemies should have had no chance

To be fair that was Studio Pierrot's filler ( I know is based on a novel but still ). Chapter 700 of the manga does show Naruto as a Hokage and stuff.
I would've liked to see the infinite tsukuyomi have lasting mental effects on people, drive some insane to where they lost their ability to differentiate reality from dreams, and maybe even create villains out of people when it showed them what their "perfect world" was, and it was some dark, villainous shit for some people, showing their deep dark desires and how to achieve them. Or even making some people go nuts and evil. Anything really. It was such a massive event to not have side effects in the long run on the human psyche

I think Kakashi's MS was fair. We saw Sasuke awaken his Sharingan right after the massacre, but he couldn't use it until the Zabuza arc. I think the same thing could apply to Kakashi.
I agree, it was pretty clear that it needs to be activated by something incredibly tragic happening. but he probably didn't even know it was something he could have done until facing Itachi then looked into it and learned how to activate it
May I point out *two mistakes in the video;* first, *Kakashi uses his Mangekio Sharinghan early in the series* and explains at that time that his limit is two attacks and that it takes a long build up (i.e he didn't use it for the first time after 17 years since he was explaining a whole set of SOPs the first time we saw it in the first 30 episodes)
Secondly, "Obito choosing not to use his Rinnegan powers because of chakra limits while he was controlling six Jinchuriki at the same time". Controlling six Jinchuriki is one of the powers of the Rinnegan. In fact it is the most showcased power since it's the basis of the six paths of Pain. But to be fair, none of the Jinchuriki use the specific jutsu of the six paths of Pain, instead the use their own. Also, Obito summoning the Gedu Mazo is a power of the Rinnegan.

I believe it's because being the Hokage is more than power. It's about experience, and a shit ton of knowledge. Naruto never quite cared about paper work and such things, he was still a kid after all. An Hokage needs to be mature as an adult as well, and needs to handle literally living at their desks. They have to be able to take extreme caution and make extremely important decisions on a daily.

I disagree with your point of Madara being redeemed in the end because it didn't happen. He was split in half and dying right after he found out he got out-played with by an alien throughout his whole life. His whole plan came crashing down, he found out that it wasn't even his plan to begin with. Hashirama stayed with him in his final moments not as an enemy but as a good friend and war buddy. Both of them were best friends as children and even as adults, they were close buds. No one forgave him. The Shinobi Alliance did not suddenly see the good within Madara. They didn't realise he had the intention of peace. He still was their villain. Anyone else would have taken that moment to add in one final strike to officially kill the weakened Madara, but not Hashirama. To Hashirama he saw his old best friend and rival in his last moments.
It's kind of like how Naruto never truly forgave Nagato for destroying the Leaf and killing Jiraiya. He just understood Nagato's perspective.

The problem with world building Anime is that you need to know the fine line between "too much" and "too little". I feel like Kishimoto wanted to solidify Naruto as the strongest by pitting him against the literal God of chakra. He wanted to flex his character lol, but I know where you're coming from. Naruto probably shouldn't build up its world all the way back to the cavemen period and let the problems then be relevant now, that's insane. They shouldn've just made an OVA of those times, being resolved in the respective period. Even saying all of this, I strangely still enjoyed the ending for some reason, lol.

I remember truly enjoying Naruto up until the defeat of Pain. After that, I kinda fell off the wagon and only came back for a lil bit out of curiosity to see how it ends. For me, the battle against Pain was the climax in the series. After that, the power scaling got really out of hand and the story became a little too convoluted and unfocused for me.

The fight should have been Sasuke VS Kabuto. They were basically roommates, living side by side, observing each other, studying and fighting under Orochimaru... Then Sasuke "betrayed" them and killed Orochimaru, taking everything from Kabuto and setting him on the path to Dragonhood... Dragon-Kabuto was indirectly created by Sasuke. He is Sasuke's karma. Sasuke should confront Kabuto and himself. An awesome fight with a lot of flashbacks (something we didn't get)...
Damn that would be sick if Tsunade actually used Kisho Tensei on Naruto for this scenario. That would mean The Sannin would all be dead and they would successfully pass the torch down to their Team 7 counterparts. This would also force Kakashi to become the Sixth Hokage much earlier on and he would have to be more of a leader during the rest of the war. Kishimoto should've stepped down and given the entire series to the hands of Professor Swaginess himself. This would've been much better.
But I thought that Chio was the last successor of that jutsu and she never taught it to anyone else, if it goes through Swags version chio would already be gone for good therefore naruto is dead forever unless the Rinne Rebirth is used

In the manga there's an episode at the end where they're all adults and Boruto is alive. Well I think the way it should end end, is in the moment when naruto gave Sasuke his former headband. That way, there's more freedom and people can make their own stories. Plus it's a great moment to end the manga because it's actually what naruto is about. Its not about boruto, marriages and romances.

However, I wouldn't mind the final panel being the hokage stone faces, with Naruto as the 7th, but I still think it would be more impactful to have naruto giving sasuke his old headband (symbolic) as the last panel. I'm pretty sure I would be able to write a way better ending than kishimoto, but these are just my thoughts.

Kaguya is a TERRIBLE villain, power-wise. The final fight should be against someone that excels and overcome all fields of expertise the main characters have. Some like Madara, you know. Instead Kaguya... she's not even a ninja. She can't even use taijutsu. She's just a kind of overpowered mage that makes zero sense in the serie.

MY theory is that back when itachi and kisame came to the leaf to capture naruto, when itachi put a genjutsu on Kakashi, he explained to him the abilities of the mangekyo. Again I have no proof, it’s just a what if. And I also understand that there are many things wrong with that statement like itachi keeping his cover or how would itachi know or not if Kakashi has awakened it? I have an idea on how the Sage of the Six Paths could appear. He sealed a bit of his Chakra inside every tailed beast, so that if they came together into the Ten Tails he'd have enough chakra to briefly appear and do whatever about it. At some point Madara could impale both Naruto and Sasuke leaving them on the brink of death, but this also allows Hagoromo to summon their conscience inside Madara (since he is inside the ten tails) like a reverse version of what Sasuke did to meet Kurama when he first meets Naruto after the timeskip. Of course that would mean Madara could be there too but Hagoromo could just say he is using a tecnique to hide his presence (and theirs as an extension) from Madara, which would be far more believable than him coming out of fucking nowhere.

Although I love to have all these characters around, I kinda wish that there were more deaths in the final arc. Guy would have gone out as an absolute badass. Swag mentioned Killer Bee and Kurama. I think it would have made the ending more impactful if there were concrete sacrifices made to stop madara.

i really hate sakura and this isn’t really my favourite ship but let me not lie i thought her and naruto were gonna get together in the end. Kishi is seriously bad at writing ships but in those little moments he had ships in mind and implemented some bits into the show, it actually looked like he was going to put them together, given the multiple hints given throughout shippuden. I think kishi ended up putting naruto and hinata together last minute because of her byakugan in favour of naruto’s own powers and the fact that this duo would make a more powerful child than him and sakura. This child (boruto) having a child with Sasuke’s and Sakura’s child (sadara) would create an incredible vessel, So i guess the planning of ships here was with no feelings involved and more of just making the next generation powerful. However, i really do not think the canon ships are good at all. I don’t even have to say anything about how bad sasusaku is, and naruhina is so one sided and rushed and if i get into it we will be here for ages. Narusaku is the best ship for a sequel generation anime to be created and for the feelings to still make sense, Sasunaru is best for just their feelings and if there was no sequel generation anime planned as it’s boyxboy (I BET if sasuke was a girl there wouldn’t even be any arguments as of to who goes with naruto lmfao) and the other two ships are just trash. My opinion :)

It's literally verbatim: "Yeah, seeing how main-characteristic you are, I bet you don't need Shisui's mind-altering, character-changing, mind-controlling ultimate Mangekyo Sharingan Genjutsu anyway. Your Talk no Jutsu is far stronger."
The biggest issue with obito in my opinion is the portrayal of his decent into madness.
Obito like many other children has been stripped of his safety and innocence. He saw his friend get kidnapped and he died a horrific death at age 12 if not younger.
Now imagine waking up as a 12 year old kidnapped by a person presumed dead and having something strange attached to your severed body. This not only hurts a lot but this entire situation is utterly horrific to a child.
You might argue that you can‘t show too much disturbing stuff in this show but Obitos slaughter of the random mist ninjas and his death was also shown in graphic detail so why not?
Anyways going back to the topic, obito now pours his heart into his dream of getting back home with his former ally’s and once he finally gets the chance the horrific reality of the corrupted ninja world comes back on him hard. Going completely insane now obito kills everyone except kakashi. He wants to hurt them all back and thanks to guruguru he can. And up until this point his story is going well. He sides with madara now at age 15 and does what he does.
But what about the entire starting a war because of rin thing? Obviously obito didn‘t do it only because of that. Obito hates the ninja world for it‘s violence and brutal narure and since he has been affected by it he feels extreme hatred towards it on a deep personal level.
Obito doesn‘t want to live in this „hell“ anymore. What obito really wants is to live in a world where he can be a kid again. He wants his childhood back, his crush aka the girl who gave him strength to power through all the terrible stuff he had to and madara offered him all that on a silver plate.
The show had serious issues portraying this and that‘s probably the reason so many people missed the point but obito deep down is just a child of war.
Obito is a child that was robbed of it‘s innocence and it‘s childhood and this traumatized him to the point of dillusion but obito is not the only one suffering from this. Many other ninja in this show are as well. Their entire system is corrupted and that lead to the big war.
In conclusion, obito isn‘t this big child who starts a war for a childhood crush he never got. Obito is a traumatized mentally ill person who got baited into a cult with a plan to live the life he never could. Obito is a man starved of love and affection and he‘s incredibly lonely.
If you somehow got this point all wrong then the show maybe failed to portray this correctly. Maybe even i am wrong about this but in the end it‘s up to the writer to tell his/her story properly and if he/her fails to do so then it can lead to misunderstandings like this.
And that from a writing perspective is very unfortunate.

Abeer Jamal I think that's you who focus on Rin too much. He always says that this world in general brings only destruction and sadness, he isn't like "what did u do to my Rin". Her death is the most traumatizing moment he experienced, hence it's so important to him, but no, rin doesn't overshadow the rest, it was just the triggering element. Nothing wrong with Obito, it is in fact rather realist psychologically speaking.

Not to mention the flash backs we keep getting to add more screen time of both of them in an attempt to expand how important her relationship with obito but all it does is drag his character down. If he really did snap i doubt he would still be talking about someone who passed away years ago especially when he was like 12 years old. The whole thing with her telling obito that she will keep an eye on him is so freaking extra and just adds more to the fact that he just started this thing just so he could see a fake version of her in the tsukuyomi world.
It's precisely because he was a kid, and the experience about rin dying by the hands of kakashi, even if it wasn't deliberate, proved him that this world needs to be taken down because it leads to tragedies like this. It was his last experience as a normal kid, and very traumtizing, no, it would never be normal that he forgot that. And if he talks to kakashi about that, that is just normal, they lived it together.

Again, the psychology of Obito is nothing wrong, you should be able to emphatise perfectly with the character: you're a kid, you're in love, your lover dies by the hand of your friend who had sworn to protect her, you are manipulated by an evil guy who tells you that there is a way to achieve a better world even by evil ways, you keep in the deep of your heart the souvenir of the girl you used to love deeply and died tragically at a young age. You've nor really grown up, you were just manipulated, very weak psychologically, manipulated back to the good by a mere teenager 16 years later. You die trying to fix all the pain you caused because you were never really evil, and you stick to the last good moments you had, because you had friends, ideals, and a lover. End of story, nothing to say about that.
They should have just made Naruto alternative endings instead of Boruto..

Naruto's number one problem is that they are always talking about the villagers and the world.... but we never see any of them besides that one time after the pain fight and the Raman noodle guy. They needed to have more stuff like the bridge builder and just normal people being affected by the stuff ninja do. Even when the god tree is activated like we should have seen the people of every village cheering for the defending ninja and then falling into hopelessness when the god tree starts taking over.
