As a reminder, Piccolo lost the Tournament of Power because he didn’t hear his opponent. I repeat, Piccolo lost because he didn’t HEAR his opponent. PICCOLO lost because he didn’t HEAR his opponent. PICCOLO, the Namekian, the guy that can literally hear a conversation from ACROSS the EARTH lost because he didn’t HEAR his opponent.

It's fucking stupid indeed. What's more triggering is how always Piccolo was depicted as that wise tactician and he didn't even try to use any ki attacks. He could just pummel the ground or do that omnidirectional explosion or anything... Super hasn; done dirty anyone as much as Piccolo
@@wherearemypowers I'm not sure about that. Humans were fodder since the beggining of Z pretty much. Piccolo in middle of Cell saga was top tier and in Super he trained Gohan in preparations for ToP. You know Goku black arc is shit when xenoverse 2 developers changed the ending so Trunks would get the power from all timelines so it would make atleast a little sense. Actually that is my favourite thing
Only problem is how does he know the Spirit Bomb? In fact they have ripoff/copy and paste/more pointless fanservice from the Saiyan Arc with Goku making the Spirit Bomb.
Insania the arc itself was kinda good and entertaining but the ending was the dumbest thing ever and that kinda ruined it but I think that would have been better too lmao
21:02 As for the fanfiction part, its actually very easy to tell who's idea this was, it was Toyotaro. You see, back in the late 2000s around the pre-BoG days, Toyotaro was writing his own DBZ spinoff manga called DBAF featuring super saiyan 5, I'm sure even new DB fans remember it, and on a side note its actually a really amazing fan manga contrary to the crap Toyotaro now produces in Super, but aside from that, in the DBAF mangas there's an evil Goku arc, a Goku from some alternate dimension or universe where he's evil, he has his own evil super saiyan forms and everything, and even wears the same dark clothing as Goku Black, along with a signature move called the Dark Kamehameha, if this all sounds familiar then it should because Toyotaro literally just put all of this in DBS, except in a far worse way than those fan mangas. Also that whole Supreme Kai going rogue schtick, that's also from DBAF, its literally from the first Xicor arc where Goku's DNA is stolen by the West Supreme Kai and she uses it to create her and Goku's child Xicor and decides to commit mass genocide. Point is, these concepts are really amazing and were executed very well in fan mangas but, as always, when DBS tried it, it came as the worst possible iteration of it. Having read the DBAF mangas I was so excited to see an official evil Goku/Supreme Kai are but I was majorly disappointed.
Also the idea of switching forms even when it makes no narrative sense to is also something he did. He tried to make it seem like ssj3, trunks bulky grade 3, and ssj4 were all better at something even though it makes no sense and Vegeta could switch between them at will.
YES. This is one of the reasons why the Android Arc was my favorite of the series. Super Saiyan was limited at that time to 3 or 4 people only (if you count Gohan later), and it was a feat that only could be achieved through incredible pain. As Vegeta said later, it's become a Super Saiyan bargain sale, lol. I truly wish SSjin 3 and beyond were never invented and that the series focused more on plot and techniques than tourneys and raw power displays. It would've been better for it.
@@SpectreStatus well to be fair, the form was the reason Goku could keep up with Fat Buu and ONE OF the reasons why anyone even survived the Buu arc. But yeah, as a form alone, it's not that great in practicality unless mastered. Still cool though.
@Frederick Bo Weesgaard Jønsson 8B Tårs undervisningssted no he's saying if during the namek saga,if frieza train just for ONE DAY,he can probably beat ssj goku
Bringing Frieza back - an enemy weaker than an unmastered regular Super Saiyan - as an enemy stronger than a Super Saiyan God with the excuse that he was a lazy bastard who never trained was lame and set the whole tone of the series for me.
Bruh I thought I was the only one thinking this. To add to it, where is the justice?? Frieza oppresses then kills all the Saiyans, except a few, and gets to come back as the main character?
@@XtevenGan No, don't try that. Vegeta and Buu have both had their redemption moments where they eventually fought for something other than theirself. Frieza is still very much evil.
He is a BIT wrong about freeza tho, or at least it seems like he is. He seems to believe that mecha freeza is on the same level as namek freeza, which is not true, mecha freeza is stronger, which is why freeza thought it was ok not to train to fight goku, he'd already gotten stronger just through mechanical enhancement, so I'll give freeza a bit of leeway here as swag makes it sound like freeza is just retardedly going back in at the same power level thinking that would be ok, other than that I really didn't have any problems with the vid and this was just a small nitpick
@@kenan-b Yea he got stronger though they didn't take their time remaking him while Dr Gero did with 18 and 17 they kinda rush him freeza and clearly didn't have the technology that Dr Gero had.
@@supaseru9736 The difference between Mecha Frieza and 17 and 18 is that the androids were made on a cellular level and have little mechanical enhancements. They are strong because they are no longer human. Dont need to eat, sleep and have unlimited energy. They also grow stronger faster also. (Look at 17)
you have to keep in mind that a few minutes before, a kamehameha from goku blue was able to damage zamasu at a cellular level and break his "immortality", yet a final kamehameha from vegitto blue couldnt even scratch zamasu...that makes vegittos return even more dissapointing
The thing that always bothered me about the Goku Black arc is that they have time travel so they could stay in the normal timeline and train for years and just go back to exactly when Trunks left and be way more powerful
They explained in the manga that the world that they want to save is still moving along. As in if a day has passed, they can't use the time machine to go to that timeline but one day earlier cause it won't be the same timeline
I liked 17 in Super, I really did. But dear god did they ass pull his power. He stops poachers for a few years and that just suddenly makes him as strong as SSJB and able to take down Jiren a few times.
DBS lacks tension... I mean, literally everything bad that is happening in DBS can be fixed by Whis and/or destroyed by Beerus so there's literally nothing to worry about :/ Edit: tournament of power is an exceptation
Aqua Pr The ToP had the most “predictable ending” of all time, BUT. It was extremely well executed given the circumstances, let’s give credit where credit is due- Frieza and Goku taking Jiren off and 17 being the winner literally wasn’t predicted by anyone on youtube, so that was neat. Also, the Goku Black arc kinda had a way around the whole Beerus and Whis problem with that “gods aren’t allowed to time travel” or some shit
Not really, because Beerus and Whis are neutral, and will only help when something that threatens the universe happens. They can't just be called to fix every little problem. The REAL reason why DBS lacks tension, is sheer bad writing... and power levels, though power levels as they are used today are a result of bad writing. There's little reason to worry about anything when the characters can reach universal levels with no effort whatsoever, but their opponents are shown to be barely at buu level, and at times the writing is so predictable that you already know what's gonna happen anyways.

@@StarDolph1n I think it was him along with one of the Universe 9 assassins who used some energy of their G.O.D. against True Golden Frieza that one time.
At least it has SOME visual distinction to it. Instead of blowing up the rocks in a massive dust explosion, they were disintegrated into purplish-pink dust. That's like, the bare minimum difference, but at least it's something?
He never says he "trained" with his father. The manga has an extremely ambiguous dialogue with Freezer implying he has, somewhat, fougth his father (maybe not even a figth, maybe Cold just beat yhe shit out of him). Nothing about training AT. ALL.
Honestly it kinda was: 1.) never felt tension 2.) Goku became the clown vegeta always accused him of being 3.) Piccolo became a running Joke 4.) Gohans demeanor was one of a major “try-hard”. Would’ve been better if he was more returning for his love of fighting than a necessity 5.) No Faulconer music 6.) extreme power scaling 7.) SS3 becoming a more useless transformation than ever before People like to call Buu Saga a shit show but it was at least a serious one
@@dillpickle7400 an example being how in the beginning of the series. It's said God ki trumps all other ki and 1 arc later frieza with no God ki comes in an whoops goku but this is brushed aside due to "training" and "potential" and in the u6 a base cabba without ssj or God ki has equal power to a vegeta who has god ki and trained with whis for nearly over a year. You don't need to watch the show with an analytical* eye to see that they absolutely ruined everything about the show that made it enjoyable when you and I were children. Even if you don't care about power scaling, like Swagkage said all throughout the video, it's impossible to get invested into a story where the writers literally didn't care what they were putting out, and where they just made Goku go a different color every time there was any kind of adversity that they couldn't bullshit their way through
Well the vast majority of his critisms were the same or didn't make sense, that's why. All he mostly did was complain about powerscaling, pacing, misunderstand the show, or nitpick at small details. He could've made more valid criticisms if he talked about the poor animation, character representation, or other things, but he instead chose to focus on the small parts of the show that no one watches Dragon Ball for anyways. Like, I don't think anyone has expected Dragon Ball Powerscaling to make sense since the Cell Saga, yet he still spends a large amount of time talking about it as if he is making some mind blowing revelations. This doesn't feel like an objective review of Dragon Ball Super like he tried to make it seem in the beginning and from the title. It is just the same as his past videos, where he rants about things based on his misunderstanding of the show, and powerscaling. What I mean by this is that he downplays the cool or important moments of the arc, but magnifies the tinniest nitpicks. He should stick to making Naruto videos, because anytime he strives away from it his videos are just bad.
You forgot to mention that had the fusion not been retconned, that scene where Kibito and Shin defused by wishing for it a few episodes prior would've been excellent foreshadowing. They could've fused, beat Zamasu, then wondered "what now" and everyone's like "guess they'll have to get used to living together..." And then Shin could've exclaimed "WAIT! You can just use the dragon balls to defuse, like me and Kibito!" Would've been a far better solution to the arc.
@@kendukin9725 Like the fact we could've had a mini-arc starring Vegeth and the goodies, in which they search a db set to defuse the former, and it could be a wacky adventure for wathever reason....
It wasn't retconned though. It was never explained as to why Vegito separated inside of buu. And this excuse fit. Only Kias can use the potaras permanently.
With the freeza arc, I think a good way to fix the power scaling is to have freeze train for a longer period of time and allow goku and vegeta to do the same. It could lead the fight to having goku needing to go all the way to super saiyen 3 just to gain an upper hand and still have the situation where goku gets shot, but this time leave vegetas win intact. That could be used as a lead into goku attempting to up his awareness during fighting, seeing as he could have died from that shot. That allows a good set up for the training for UI
That frieza Arc ,... I would have preferred Goku dying along with earth . And then Vegeta killing Frieza using whis's time reversal thing . For fuck sake , He needed to avenge for what Frieza did to his race , family and planet . I mean he is the ULTIMATE SAIYAN PRINCE . Not an wildman earthling who later realises he is a saiyan .
Thought the same thing. Maybe Trunks was tired of always loosing to Black, started watching Naruto when recovering and thought it will solve the problem. But he doesn't understand how to perform it well so even guy that became genocidal fucktard after watching some caveman MMA for 5 seconds won't change his ways.
There is no logical explanation in the story as of why he does that. The only reason is because the writers couldn't come up with a way to communicate Trunks' sufferings and how mortals aren't just weak to the audience, other than making him scream it all the time.
You missed one very important point...How the hell did Vegeta not know that Goku had trained to get kaioken blue when he literally spent 3 years straight with him in the time chamber?!!! That was just prior to them going to the tournament too!
I guess that since it had 1/10 of chance to even survive turning it on, he didn't literally train Kaioken. He probably just was doing normal training and hoped that his body is strong enough.
DieGorn1000 How would he know that it was a 1/10 chance to survive if he never used it? If he never used it how would he know he could even do it in the first place? If he did use it and stopped it still doesn’t explain how the hell he found out it was 1/10. If he would have just said it just puts a lot of strain on my body I would be cool, but he doesn’t. I haven’t watched super fully so if this was explained my bad.

yeah but the thing is frieza is slippery and can backstab the heroes at any given moment, especially how he nearly did it almost four times in the TOP he also caused DBS broly to happen
the fights are good cause of nostalgia and all but ya the writting's pretty terrible. the last 2 bosses zamasu and jiren were beaten by plot devices, a button to summon the omni-king and some op powerup that goku magically happened to get right before he would've otherwise died. most of the stuff in dragonball z at least had some buildup to it, Vegeta ranting about the legendary super saiyan, Gohan's potential both of those weren't suddenly shoved into the moment with the freeza/cell fights. Most of the stuff in super's just plot device invented within the same episode.
Shounen 101 to be honest, in my opinion Fate is one of the only shounen where this doesn't get out of hand. It's either having characters explain the most obvious shit, going 'this isn't even my full power, watch THIS!' or 'Oh you blocked my *whatever I just did*, in this case I'm gonna counter with THIS!'. Dragonball Super lacks one major thing that Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT had. Tension. There is no reason to be concerned for any of these characters in Super. Whis has the temporal do-over thing so when Goku and Vegeta make a mistake he just reverses said mistake, Zeno is on speed dial so even if the heroes lose Goku can just call on Zeno and have him delete the enemy, and the final antagonist of the show is nothing more than a walking power level and not actually evil. We had villains like Mercenary Tao, King Piccolo and his son (who eventually turned good), Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Zarbon, The Ginyu Force, Frieza, The Androids (Including Cell), Majin Buu, and yes even the Shadow Dragons with their leader Omega Shenron that gave us some sort of tension. You don't feel any worry in Super, and if there is some worry it's just completely manufactured. Like with the Universal Survival Arc, it was made completely useless when 17 wished back every single universe that Zeno destroyed....so what was the fucking point of the tournament anyway? To have two little fucking psychopathic god kids just erase universes for fun? I also completely disagree with you when it comes to Jiren. You compared him to a brick wall, and that's the problem. He's merely an object that's powerful. His backstory is awful and we have had characters who were incredibly strong but were also fleshed out. People shit on Syn/Omega Shenron for being a terrible character, but at least even with the bad writing of GT Omega Shenron still had a reason for "being". Jiren really doesn't in the grand scheme. He has no character to him.

Nothing wrong with the 4 month thing Frieza beside Buu and the other like Bee was one of the strongest fighter ever without training that would mean he was already truly gifted and if you ask me any training he would do should raise his power level off the chart if he take it really serious and he really wanted that revenge more than anything I say it possible for Frieza to be able to pass Goku and Vegeta in power since he was already stronger than them to begin with but also everyone stats grow differently even more when they are a different race but I believe Frieza was one of the more gifted fighter in his whole race so I would never count Frieza out but would be cool if they allowed Frieza to reach his maximum potential no playing around real serious training for years truly know himself his limit not getting tired right away and so on would be a sweet battle vs Goku UI 🤔

@@ongfrfr249 I don't think super is even close to being better than z. Most of my reasons relate to swag's because of the fact that super is just inconsistent. One he didn't mention example is how the hakai got retcon into being just an exclusive ki blast for g.o.ds, You just have to be strong enough to resist it now. the show is more comedic or just kid friendly. Plus you know Z just might be better when super has to try and actually reuse the same scenes from Z, examples being: father-son ki wave, vegeta's final flash scene, and vegeta's explosion (sacarfice in Z) scene. Now I don't know about you, but every one of those scenes were done much better in Z. Also you don't have to like power scaling to find frieza's training stupid. Also again, two beings that are definitely weaker than buu saga goku and vegeta, potara fused, should not be pressing ssjb goku.
If i was a writter of DB Super, i would appeal to The fact that what Zamasu wanted it was a Saiyan body. That The boost in power by having Jiren's Body would not be so different than Goku's... but by having a Saiyan body , Zamasu can evolve in strenght much faster. Gustavo Meneses Herrera well since the super dragon balls could literally grant any wish possible, zamazu could of just wished for jirens ki or some shit
@@jeremiahmoss7500 good point No matter how u look at it, that was a ridiculous scene Zamasu could literally wish being stronger than anyone in the multiverse.... End of story, end of DB Super.
Mmm... I actually thought Zamasu and Goku Black were the best bad guys in Super. They had a good plan, played their cards well, and they were actually pretty unique.
I feel like everyone forgets that the Android/Cell Saga had the subplot of the "race to Super Saiyan 2," where we already saw the pain of Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks as they turned Super Saiyan, and each try their own way to evolve the form (Super Saiyan Full Power, Ascended Super Saiyan, Ultra Super Saiyan). Then, during all this, we see Gohan have his own dramatic Super Saiyan transformation. And, through all the setup in the Saiyan and Namek arcs, he is the one to win the race. Comparing that level of brilliant writing with DBS is just stupid. On that note, Goku went Super Saiyan when he thought he finally did the impossible, yet Frieza is revealed to have survived the Spirit Bomb and kills Krillin brutally. Future Trunks went Super Saiyan when he hated himself for not being strong enough after witnessing the death of his best friend Gohan, lifeless in the rain. Vegeta went Super Saiyan when his pride as the Prince of all Saiyans was causing himself to collapse, witnessing Goku and Trunks seemingly steal what he believed was his destiny. Gohan went Super Saiyan when he was breaking down in fear, realizing that if he is too weak, then he can't save anyone and everyone will die. Goten and Trunks went Super Saiyan purely as a joke, so I can excuse that, but Cabba had one of the dumbest transformations ever. And don't get me started on Kale and Caulifla.
Kale caulifla when through 2 ss transformations in like 2 episodes whereas gohan, goku, and vegeta has to actually work to get there it’s just lazy writing
I really love the Cell Saga. I think Frieza saga is more cohesive and tighter written but I love the general feeling of this saga. Goku acts like a wise, seasoned master, Gohan being Goku's successor, the moral questions of killing innocent lives and I like that Piccolo is still relevant at this point :D
Goten and Trunks were able to easily achieve SSJ because their fathers HAD ALREADY achieved SSJ, not because of some tingling in their back and S-cells.
Rosho never stopped his training, why would he have below 200 (which isn't even near the canonical power level he had the last saga where power units were used, saiyan saga) These nostalfanZ really inventing fake "facts" to try making a point, that's how desperate they are lmao
Naruto would at least have a strategy when using clones. Picillo just moved around while powering up his MOST LETHAL move in a tournament where killing is against the rules.
Yeah I was thinking that too when he complained no one advised Frieza to train before running to fight Goku. I imagine the underlings knew by that point you don't give advice unless your asked, and it better be what he wants to hear. Still makes Freiza an idiot though.
You know what? This might be exactly what Frieza needs to make him interesting: a partner. Someone that can sit by his right hand side, say whatever he wants, and be strong enough to not have to worry about being killed. A relationship kind of like Goku and Vegeta's. In time, Frieza might even come to respect this partner. In the meantime, their relationship might even be humorous. Like, Frieza gets pissed at the guy and runs around threatening him for a while, but we know nothing's going to amount to it because they're too equally matched, and Frieza doesn't genuinely hate the guy.
With Trunks' spirit bomb, all it would've taken was one line of Goku saying "Everyone give me your energy so I can send it to Trunks!". That would've been enough! Or even better have someone from the main timeline somehow communicate (establish a way to do it first, like a time tunnel or something) and send energy from loads of universes for the attack.
Trunks suddenly becoming strong enough to take out Fused Zamasu even though Vegito Blue couldn't do it? That's an Akira Toriyama hand job. With the amount of bs power ups that happened in Super I'm surprised Akira Toriyama isn't suffering from chronic arthritis in his wrists.
Why can't people understand that Akira Toriyama had little and I mean very little involvement in Super. It was literally just a cash-cow by Toei milking everyone's nostalgia.
Toei have no real interest in what Bandai sell for their games though, other than the royalties from using their IP. I do agree that it was definitely to sell merch and toys, though.
Especially ToP. I hated that they had that trash desktop background for the entire tournament of energy blasts blowing up. But some of it was good as well.
@@LetsDiscussFR Exactly. The setting of ToP didn't leave anything to imagination. It was just a matter of guessing who did the writers dedicate the episode to pit X against Y character or giving/revealing transformations for even the fodder units that I really don't care about . It lacked the adventure aspect of the series for me because the whole arc was pretty much stuck in this ring . Not a lot they could do with it . I loved only a a couple scenes like Roshi's etc . Rest of it was forgettable .
Frieza never training until Resurection 'F' I think can be pretty well explained with how he really didn't want to risk being sent to Hell again. Also his power boost after a short time isn't just that he's a prodigy, it's that he is a very mutated member of his race. And Roshi being on the team isn't so crazy if we consider he must've restarted his own training at some point so he could help his students instead of just staying in the background. This training would probably have had to have started around the Saiyan Saga, and by the time of Frieza's resurrection he had surpassed Yamcha and Chiaotzu.
Can you a do a “how to fix dragon ball super video” like the “How to fix narutos war arc” vid EDIT: maybe swag could do a video for each arc seeing as though the whole show is very long and for tournament of power he could probably do a two parter since it’s very long
All they need to do is fix the characters. Stop making them scared of bullets. Make goku smart again, make vegata bad ass and picolo since he's a babysitter now. Then the show should be good
It's actually good. Inconsistent yes but IT'S MORE DRAGON BALL and the hero's we love. I even like blue... although god when battle of godz was announced. omg that was amazing. little Kid Goku is now a GOD

The math in that saga is retarded regardless Goku shows up and was supposed to be so much stronger than everyone there and the only one who stands a chance against Frieza. Frieza boasts that he was only using 1% of his full power against Goku initially. His full power is 120 Million What's 1% of that? 1.2 Million So you mean to tell me he made all these forms because he couldn't control his final form. Only to use barely more power than he had in his second form against Goku. When you put it that way it makes Vegeta look like a fucking idiot (more so) and scales Goku around Piccolo level. If he showed up to face Xenomorph Frieza he would have gotten shot to hell just as fast as Piccolo did. Absolutely absurd.
@@nullandvoid7524 I think it was like this. 1st for Frieza. 530 thousand. 2nd form 1 mill 3rd form 2 mill Final form 120 mill. Vegeta was probably 2 mill and Goku was 3 mill. I think the using one percent part was a translation error because in the manga it said that Vegeta was getting creamed by 2% Final form Frieza... Which is stronger than his 3rd form by a bit. He was definitely using a bit more power against Goku, plus Goku has Kaioken. My theory is that if Frieza used less power than what his max power was in his 3rd form while in his final form... He would've reverted.
You also forgot how unfair the writers really are against the non-main characters in the TOP. They're all getting weaker by the minute while Goku, especially Goku, just gets stronger by the power of friendship.
Yeah thats also a reason why this show felt lame compared to dbz they basically went standard lame shounen type of anime it reminds me alot of fairy tail
T.o.P. has literally been the peak of non-main characters. If you want to talk about writers being unfair with Z warriors you have the wprst saga ever produced in DB, the saiyan saga, where we are just supposed to watch our 5 secondary characthers that we saw training and improving for years through DB (which adds up to more than 100 episodes) just so they fucking die in the most pathetics of ways (Yamcha became a meme of how pathetic someone can be, even used to describe lame idiots outside DB. I always felt that blue should have been save for the U6 tournament and standard SSJ God should have been the only transformation in the Ressurection F arc. It would have given an underutilized form more time to shine as well as a really cool twist when Vegeta pulls it out, similar to what we saw in the Broly movie.
Or either make a whole new concept of SSJ God entirely as well as Blue or not make SSJ Blue at all. I have this good idea of how the God Forms should be more unique to the Saiyans instead of them having the same Forms.
Yeah, they’ve been shitting out transformations left, right and center in DBS. With absolutely zero build up and tension- save for ultra instinct. SSJ Blue should’ve had an insanely epic debut, especially considering the bar set by the SSJ 3 introduction in Z. Instead we got some rocks flying around, and that was that, compared to the entire earth shaking for SSJ 3. For divine transformations such as SSG and SSB, you’d expect them to have much higher status and build up.. to really take them serious.
Vegito brings this up and then zamasu says some shit about how he always planned that and vegito sighs and is like "well you have an answer for everything dont you..."

Face palm. Lmfao. Db af was a fan made pic. None of this is true. There is no af. Its fm, fan made.

Edit: tournament of power is an exceptation
*Looks at Jiren and the ToP*
Beerus can’t beat that.
Grosspizzaontheground Okay? My point was that Beerus can’t defeat every enemy in DBS.

Lion of the Blue Vale I've read the DB manga and he was much less retarded in it than in Super, by far
Frieza legit said in dbz "I haven't had to dust myself off like that since I was a child training with my father" So frieza did train
yet in super he magically forgets it exists
He never says he "trained" with his father. The manga has an extremely ambiguous dialogue with Freezer implying he has, somewhat, fougth his father (maybe not even a figth, maybe Cold just beat yhe shit out of him). Nothing about training AT. ALL.
Honestly it kinda was:
1.) never felt tension
2.) Goku became the clown vegeta always accused him of being
3.) Piccolo became a running Joke
4.) Gohans demeanor was one of a major “try-hard”. Would’ve been better if he was more returning for his love of fighting than a necessity
5.) No Faulconer music
6.) extreme power scaling
7.) SS3 becoming a more useless transformation than ever before
People like to call Buu Saga a shit show but it was at least a serious one

@@dillpickle7400 an example being how in the beginning of the series. It's said God ki trumps all other ki and 1 arc later frieza with no God ki comes in an whoops goku but this is brushed aside due to "training" and "potential" and in the u6 a base cabba without ssj or God ki has equal power to a vegeta who has god ki and trained with whis for nearly over a year.

Look man...I love me some dragonball but I will admit Super has many things that I don’t like.....like the U6 saiyans pulling transformations out of their asses...
You don't need to watch the show with an analytical* eye to see that they absolutely ruined everything about the show that made it enjoyable when you and I were children. Even if you don't care about power scaling, like Swagkage said all throughout the video, it's impossible to get invested into a story where the writers literally didn't care what they were putting out, and where they just made Goku go a different color every time there was any kind of adversity that they couldn't bullshit their way through
I see where you got that from
Well the vast majority of his critisms were the same or didn't make sense, that's why.
Duh. That's why people hate that retcon.
@@buster3041 theres more reasons to hate the retcon than just that but yeah
@@kendukin9725 I know there's more but when you boil everything together this is the key point.

Like the fact we could've had a mini-arc starring Vegeth and the goodies, in which they search a db set to defuse the former, and it could be a wacky adventure for wathever reason....
So, about Freeza training...

@@Reality-Distortion still stupid
DieGorn1000 How would he know that it was a 1/10 chance to survive if he never used it? If he never used it how would he know he could even do it in the first place?
He has no character to him.
don't forget, it happens before ubb and goku fly off, no reason to feel like they would lose, at all.
Simpleton Apollo dragon ball didn’t have tension either every time someone died they got revived from the dragon balls
Dragon ball/Z/GT was a aimed at teens/adults Super is aimed at kids with a hint of nostalgia for OG viewers who don't care enough to see this shit show as it is.

I don't see any problems with that. Not like it breaks any rhyme or reason within the series or anything right?
With the Freeza power boost, I was so sure that in the TV adaptation Champa would show up and train Freeza and that's how he'd catch up. Anything would've made more sense than what we got.

How is trunks and goten turning super saiyan a joke?
cabba had a really good transformation, even better in the manga and kale's sorta made sense
but wtf was that caulifla transformation
I really love the Cell Saga. I think Frieza saga is more cohesive and tighter written but I love the general feeling of this saga. Goku acts like a wise, seasoned master, Gohan being Goku's successor, the moral questions of killing innocent lives and I like that Piccolo is still relevant at this point :D
Goten and Trunks were able to easily achieve SSJ because their fathers HAD ALREADY achieved SSJ, not because of some tingling in their back and S-cells.

Fishguy Not good enough. They’d need to be on near-equal footing.
I agree, the problems w/ super are so glaring bc a lot of them have simple solutions but the writers usually don't bother
U underestimate toriyama's and toytaro's level of stupidity
Trunks suddenly becoming strong enough to take out Fused Zamasu even though Vegito Blue couldn't do it? That's an Akira Toriyama hand job. With the amount of bs power ups that happened in Super I'm surprised Akira Toriyama isn't suffering from chronic arthritis in his wrists.
JNoir J woahhhhh where did you get this from. Can’t say I remember Vegito vs zamasu lmao.
Why can't people understand that Akira Toriyama had little and I mean very little involvement in Super. It was literally just a cash-cow by Toei milking everyone's nostalgia.
One NotTwo no he had lots of involvement I don’t know where you got this idea
@@calebsz3536 Maybe It's my nostalgia, if that actually true my respect for him has taken a nose dive.
It was meant to end at buu, but you know how whiney babies can be.
Also how do you not remember vegito vs zamasu like did you actually watch the show?
i believe that this whole show was just a cash grab. So that they could sell DLCs in dbz games. Look at xv2 it has freaking 10 dlcs
Toei have no real interest in what Bandai sell for their games though, other than the royalties from using their IP. I do agree that it was definitely to sell merch and toys, though.
Ea:
Laughs in 50 DLCs for one part of a game
Yeah but that game is actually good. Something Super can’t say
I'd rather pirate the DLC. No way I'm spending that much money on a four year old game.
I heard it was because DBGT was so bad, Akira Toriyama decide to write DBS.
Overall I’d say the series was pretty meh, there were little golden nuggets sprinkled through out but most of the time it was unimpressive.
Especially ToP. I hated that they had that trash desktop background for the entire tournament of energy blasts blowing up. But some of it was good as well.
Oreo true
@@LetsDiscussFR Exactly. The setting of ToP didn't leave anything to imagination. It was just a matter of guessing who did the writers dedicate the episode to pit X against Y character or giving/revealing transformations for even the fodder units that I really don't care about . It lacked the adventure aspect of the series for me because the whole arc was pretty much stuck in this ring . Not a lot they could do with it . I loved only a a couple scenes like Roshi's etc . Rest of it was forgettable .
I was one of the best additions
@@assassinhit6684 True. They did you dirty tho.
Can you a do a “how to fix dragon ball super video” like the “How to fix narutos war arc” vid
EDIT: maybe swag could do a video for each arc seeing as though the whole show is very long and for tournament of power he could probably do a two parter since it’s very long
Lucas Feliciano or better yet, “ How to Fix The Tournament of Power “ that shit is LITERALLY half the show
@@mezasepkmn they literally did two and it were so many contradictions and ass pulls
You would have to make a 4 hour video. Also supers problems trace back to z.
@Plot made Sasuke not copy 1000 jutsu like Kakashi gonna have to disagree with you there.
All they need to do is fix the characters. Stop making them scared of bullets. Make goku smart again, make vegata bad ass and picolo since he's a babysitter now. Then the show should be good
I’ve never watched DBS. I just like watching Swagkage rant
Same
Same
It's actually good. Inconsistent yes but IT'S MORE DRAGON BALL and the hero's we love. I even like blue... although god when battle of godz was announced. omg that was amazing. little Kid Goku is now a GOD
One i mean i don’t know much about it firsthand but from watching this video, as well as many others, i kind of gathered that it isn’t worth watching. Thx for the heads up
Me too. Its just too depresing for me to watch an epic anime i grew up with being destroyed like this with all these stupid transformations and arcs......
I thought I was the only one who didn't enjoy the Goku Black arc. I feel everyone thinks it's dope, but it seemed cheesy to me.
It's the only Arc that had any kind of symbolise of threat.
That's true. I just didn't like how it ended tbh. I think everything throughout was good, but the Trunks boost really killed it for me.
I thought it was goten but it was zamasu🙄 It would be more interesting not some jealous people who want to steal Goku body
I think goku black/zamasu was cool just woah it wasn't a trunks arc because future trunks is trash.
I liked it
Goku and Vegeta had 16 years of training yet 4 months was enough to get beaten by Frieza
Yeah that was dumb.
Goku and Vegeta had 7 years of training yet 24 hours was enough to get EASILY surpassed by Mystic Gohan, and to this day nostalfanZ cal, it "peak Gohan's character" lmao

@@VladyDaddy7Z Lmao dude relax. What is your problem lol
Leave my tsundere Vegeta out of this
Cant stand DBS version if Vegeta. Remember when his vocab was more than "hmm"
Theres literally a dbz episode titled “fighting power over 1 million?” Where frieza hits over a million before the final form
The math in that saga is retarded regardless
Goku shows up and was supposed to be so much stronger than everyone there and the only one who stands a chance against Frieza.
Frieza boasts that he was only using 1% of his full power against Goku initially.
His full power is 120 Million
What's 1% of that?
1.2 Million
So you mean to tell me he made all these forms because he couldn't control his final form.
@@nullandvoid7524 are you degraded or you really so ignorant about how battle power works?
If his strength doubles each time, which makes sense, then 2nd form would be 1,060,000.
@@nullandvoid7524 I think it was like this.
1st for Frieza. 530 thousand.
2nd form 1 mill
3rd form 2 mill
Final form 120 mill.
@@nullandvoid7524 But it's still kinda BSn
Last time frieza saw goku he was a super saiyan. Comes back stronger than ssj, ssj 2, ssj 3, ssg, ssgss
On top of this, SSG is implied to be stronger than Super Vegito, so he's also in that list since he was stronger that SS3 Goku.
shit was ridiculous. to me, the series ended after goku killed majin buu, gt dont count. super dont count
Blaze up super
Does lmao it’s canon
@@mshotz5171 you miss his point
Blaze up the series should’ve ended after gohan killed cell
Chaoz had the most souless and forgetable of sacrifices in the franchise), and this mfs couldn't even get Nappa tired
Really? 5 minor characters that Toriyama took an entire series to build and they can't even take on a minor villain? Christ
@@crossknight1490ok listen I can respect the rest but don’t diss the saiyan saga like that
Gohan was like the best in Z, look what they do to him now
I know right?!! I was sooo disappointed!😞
C.M Playz Who? Goku? By fusion with Vegeta? Ssj3 was definitely weaker than Mystic Gohan...
XpertGamer 90 we’re talking about his potential and his speed to gain a massive power boost. DBS gohan can not stand up to the beast that was Z gohan, he was the first saiyan to go ss2

Francesco Lombardi ok but what does Pot of Greed do?
For divine transformations such as SSG and SSB, you’d expect them to have much higher status and build up.. to really take them serious.
i just realized something: Zamazsu wanted to wipe out all mortals but he partnered himself with a mortal.
Vegito brings this up and then zamasu says some shit about how he always planned that and vegito sighs and is like "well you have an answer for everything dont you..."
