@@FunctionPowersports what’s the consequences of running a heavier tire? Just speed loss or risk tearing up the machine? I don’t want to sacrifice looks for quality
@@jp1419 It'll definitely increase wear on the machine a little and you would also likely notice more resistance at low speeds. It could hurt your crawling/slow maneuvering but at speed wouldn't be noticeable. Hello, I have a question: does anyone know what the original size of the wheels and tires for the Honda Fourtrax 4x4 1998 was? and what options can be installed to avoid damaging the gearbox?
According to our records, the Front Tire Size is 23x8 and the Rear Tire Size is 25x11. You could probably go a little bigger, but not too much bigger without gear reduction.
Technically some people can clear 30's, but I would recommend no larger than 28" for guaranteed fit. For the exhaust, we've got some Big Gun options that would be great for you along with their plug and play tuner. If you need help finding any of it, feel free to shoot us a message on Facebook or Instagram. Thanks
Great video! First time atv owner here. This tire size stuff is confusing to me. So if my stock size is 25×8×12 front & 25×10×12 rear, what would be the next size bigger tire that will fit the stock rims? I'm worried a wider tire won't fit the rim. I currently have almost a 3" clearance gap between rear stock tire and the fender, and plenty of clearance in the front on my 2016 arctic cat 500 alterra XL. I would like to go bigger without changing the stock clutch? Thanks for any help on this.
You'd probably be looking at 27" diameter tires, I'd recommend doing 2 of each of these. www.functionpowersports.com/store/tires?store=tires&sort=instock&diameter_from=12&width_from=27&brand=ITP&tmodel=Mud+Lite+II&saleToggle=0&qdToggle=0 If you'd prefer a different style tire, we can find another size combo in something else too. 🤘
@@FunctionPowersports Okay thanks for the help! As far as style or type, I'm riding primarily on hard surfaces like asphalt and hard packed gravel dirt roads and worried about excessive wear. 27" might be a bigger step up than I need. What could you recommend for somewhere in the middle?🤘Thanks again
Understandable, then I'd recommend 2 of each of these. www.functionpowersports.com/store/tires?store=tires&sort=instock&diameter_from=12&width_from=26&brand=Quadboss&tmodel=QBT846&saleToggle=0&qdToggle=0 These are only 26" and have a decent ply rating to hold up better on harder surfaces.
These are the UTV/ATV version of the KM3 that are not DOT. They do make a Light Truck version as well. We've got a ton of options in terms of wheels and tires for that size though right on our site. Other DOT UTV/ATV tires would be the EFX Motoclaw, which is an awesome tire, and the Gladiator X Comp ATR, This is a tire that we think a lot more people should be looking at. It's one of the few 10 plys and DOT legal. Awesome grip for any terrain and a nice aggressive sidewall design. I know we have both those UTV tires on the site, and any wheel setup you might want to run on the x4. www.functionpowersports.com/buy-wheel-offset2/139-560-4280/gladiator-x-comp-atr-28x10r14-tires?
Hey Doug, so it sounds like you are talking about the rear tires only as the front tires are most likely a 25x8r12 or 25x9r12 front tire. For the rear you should have no problem with the wider tire. It will sit a little bit wider in the rear with your new wider tires.
It’s kinda stupid because it doesn’t allow you to pick fitment it just let you pick whatever you like. I bet if you buy and order and it arrives might not work!
I’m glade you went over this as I ended up putting Polaris rzr wheels on my 85 Yamaha Moto 4 225 lmao

The km3’s are a very nice tire
Polaris xplorer 400 4x4 explorer for road and it has stock tires
I’d love to get the Efx Motoclaws but they seem a touch heavy for a Honda rubicon dct
Maybe a little, but would probably be ok

It could just be time for a new belt, is it still the original one?
Are these DOT approved? Looking for something on my ‘19 Yamaha X4 in the 28x10x14… maybe a wheel tire combo package

I have a ranger 570 crew standard size tire 25/10/12. I bought a 26/12/12 Am I going to need wheel spacers to run these tires if so what size

Right now I have 27x12x12 on all of the rims. Can I go smaller as far as the width of the tire is??
If I understand the question, it's possible but it depends on the width of the wheel.
Can I fit my back tires on the front on my 2021 can am maverick x3 .
People switch to "square setups" all the time, I guess it would likely depend on the offset of your factory wheel.
How high of ring 7 tire in cm ???
It’s kinda stupid because it doesn’t allow you to pick fitment it just let you pick whatever you like. I bet if you buy and order and it arrives might not work!
What do you mean by that?
may i am the one that wants to go bit smaller tyres!! from 25 to 23 inch tyres! i want better acceleration!! will that help??
People say a larger tire makes it gain acceleration
