Fazermint is a Finnish chocolate made by Fazer company. Finland is a small country, so very few know of our products, except Nokia and Angry Birds. And think they are Japanese and american, probably :)
Imagine my surprise seeing Flula 'steeling' Fazermints as a kid :) It's actually mostly (near) liquid mint filling with thin chocolate coat, only the bottom is a bit more solid.
Flula is literally the best human. Protect him at all costs. ❤️

I'm trying to recall the last time I'd heard the word "abode" in conversation.
Holdhouse doesn't make sense. Household is Haushalt in German which is translated into Household. Flula is a genius.
Maybe he lives in a wooden home and wanted to say Holzhaus.
DazedAndConfused household is an actual word.
Isn't it apparent that he meant the "holdhouse" as a form of prison?

Flula is a really fast and clever comedian that Conan can bounce back and forth with. You can see how Conan occasionally gets caught off guard and loving it.
I bet most of Conan's guests are so rehearsed and boiler plate that Flula is a relief for Conan to be working with.
Flula and Conan has such great chemistry. Conan is always great with the RUclipsrs. Compared to the other interactions of other talk show hosts and RUclipsrs at least.
During the year long transition from ABC to TBS, Conan maintained his presence primarily through RUclips at the time. I imagine he has a great deal of respect for the platform, and creators, as a result.
The Mighty Knivs I must have missed when Conan was on ABC.
I love how he keeps flipping his head around back and forth between Conan and Andy, kills me everytime lol

I'm sure many people who are watching have lived in foreign countries and can recognize that maintaining your sense of humor in another language and culture is extremely difficult. Flula is so knowledgeable and intelligent that he makes it seem easy. You can tell that he's fully aware of the English idioms, but is intentionally injecting subtle differences to make it funny to native speakers ("agree to not agree"), while not so awkward that it's unintelligible or too far outside the norm. There is only one time in the video he sort of screws it up, "in my old house in my old home in my old..." and he recovers by using different diction, "in my abode." Few people laugh, but I thought it was one of the funniest parts. As I said, he's also very knowledgeable of history, which of course plays well with Conan, who shares the same trait. Anyway, I love these interviews.

I thought he did that on purpose. Besides, wiwi Flula there are no mistakes. He says things he feels are funny, because he's fluent in English enough to not have to think about it. I can do this too, but after living in the States for a long long time. He either has American friends or watches American tv regularly, because he's fluent in idioms.

I'm surprised as the joke. Marcos' news of pride and greed even went to the other side to the world, but even here in the Philippines some people still worship them.

I was recently in Denmark and I saw Fazermint in a store. Because of this interview, I bought a box. They’re delicious. They taste a lot like Andes mints, but with more and thinner cream in the middle.
Indeed, they are very much still available here.

I would say that Flula isn´t acting anymore.
For me it feels like he is showing a part of his character to us.
Conan is King of having great guests and making them even greater. Bill Burr, Jeff Goldblum, Flula, Olifant etc....
Perfect mixture of straight man and clown. Walking that line with ease pretty much makes for a great late night host. The hosts I dislike don't have that quality. Jimmy Fallon for example, with all his obvious shortcomings aside, just isn't able to pull off the silly clown thing at all. He tried to be a drama actor, but he just isn't expressive enough. People don't even buy his fake laughter. Yeah man, Conan is a treasure and so is Andy.

Now I am wondering where he got those. I am pretty sure they were not regularly on sale in Germany in the 80ies - nor are they available today in any store I know. Maybe his family had some personal relations to Finland so somebody brought it or send it to him...
Basicly every place that sells candy in Denmark has Fazermint and Dumle (Also a popular Fazer product) so it's not restricted to Finland by any means, most german stores along the Danish border also has it. Fazer is a quite huge (Finnish based) company spanning multiple countries with not only candy production but bakeries, cafeterias etc.
Flula was taking sugar hits back in the 80s, for an hour.

I have never watched or tried to watch full interview of any celeb on the coco show but this man is really really uplifting.

Joona Maaranen Nope. Born in Helsinki in 1866 and his parents were actually Swiss immigrants. No Germany mentioned anywhere.
Karl Fazer was born in Finland and his father was an immigrant from Switzerland.

Pekka Ritaranta Well perhaps, though I think Conan has a quite large fanbase in Finland so someone will do it eventually. But I kinda feel like Conan has been somewhat falling out of love with Finland in recent years, making less jokes about Finland etc. It makes me a little sad because Conan had such a special connection to Finland and a huge popularity. In my opinion he should do a travel program revisiting Finland, like he has done on so many countries recently.
