What I love about flula is that his English is actually perfect but he plays the part well. He knows way too many good English words for the level he pretends to be at
I can definitely confirm this statement 😂 I grew up in his hometown and nearly everybody back in Germany speaks at least fluent English and most people can even speak it like their mother tongue so i have no doubt at all that he would be able to talk with a way less concise accent...

It's more like one out of ten speaks english that well. My father is one for example. But that's because he had excellent english teachers in grammar school who taught them how to speak queens english back in the 1960s. I still find using the correct tenses hard and have to learn a lot of words. Regardless of that got As and Bs only in 11. grade. So nope it's not that easy for every German.
The cliches of germans not knowing English are old. Kids these days are more talented than the cliches of the past.
Never knew that was a cliche, I always thought all europeans could speak several languages fluently.

@@mishtaromaniello8295 I'm looking at a show, where people in the audience are actors who get paid to make certain faces at certain times. a show where laughter, cheering and applauding is prerecorded before the show and cut in by the production when processing the recording. have you never been to any of these shows in person? the audience reactions are artificial, it's all a show.

Conan can barely keep up. Don't ever upstage the host tho, it's Conan's show and he tries to protect his comedy cred. If two true comedians are in the same room it's going to either be laugh fest till everybody is dead or they are going to kill one another. I see Flula has been on Conan a few times so he must clearly like him on the show!

Flula is incredibly quick witted and sharp, especially given English isn't his first language. He has this unparalleled ability to make it appear like he's semi-clueless by using slightly unusual words to describe things, but, in retrospect, as he's so consistently good at it, it's clear he has deliberately chosen his words perfectly to maximize hilarity. I'm very impressed.

That is probably because he is leaning into his natural accent. I mean he has a german accent, but he is living in the US since 2012. It is like Arnold Schwarzenegger, he knows what his fans want, so he exaggerates his austrianness.
