Moving all the old scrap parts without rats running in all directions says that Ezra is doing his job. 🙂
What an honor to have your Dad in good shape and doing jobs together. That GEHL skid steer is handy. The shop addition is looking great and the workflow will be nice.
Now I have to stop in the middle of my morning chores to watch JAFAF. Keep it coming, Pete!
@@Failure_Is_An_Option just an acronym for just a few acres farm
The bob Ross of farming videos. So relaxing and enjoying to watch. Watching that old boy rip roaring that old skidder was a great as well. Love your old machines and videos . Thanks Pete.
We'll just put a happy cow here, and some happy piggies there...
Love the progress of the barn addition. Always good to clean up the scrap metal. Ezra is keeping the mice population down, such a good cat.😊
18:50 😅
M
I need an Ezra..
It’s good for the cows but wait until the snow flies and all you machines get covered just saying.
5:00am is now Pete a.m.
Enjoy every minute with your Dad. Every day is the same till is't not. Our life is like a piece of equipment. It works just fine till it stops. The longer we live with our parents the less we think about them not being there. My Dad is gone 20 years. I'm now the Dad. My son is your age. The first few years after he was gone, unbeknown to us, we were speed dialing him to talk about an interesting job we were at. Our first call is always to each other. We both have something special. Never stop appreciating it.
My mom planted lilac bushes outside all bedroom windows. When weather warmed the windows were opened and sleeping was memorable. To this day she prunes and cultivates them. Visits are a trip down memory lane. This was a very good video. Editing displayed all work in a timely manner. Actually it seemed like the video ended far too soon. Ya done good, Pete.
I was raised on a farm, and I learn to drive tractor on a Farmall just like the one you're driving in this episode memories!
HI
It is great to see how the new build is coming, and how things have to go on with the rest of the farm at the same time.
Your comments about the Farmall H being your favorite hit home. Starting in 5th grade I worked on my great grandfather and great uncles' farm in the summers.
That is where I learned to drive the tractors and other farm equipment. I was taught on
their 1950 Farmall H tractor. It also had the old trip bucket system. It was the only new tractor they ever bought. It was always my favorite to drive also.
Thanks
I really enjoy watching
Greg
Your videos are always a good way to start the day. The H shined up like a new penny and looks awesome for it's age. Only thing you were missing was Patty's grievances for the day 😂
start the day ?? :-) overhere is it 15.00 :-) greetings from Belgium ( europe )
I have absolutely zero experience with farms and farm animals but enjoy your videos. Your easy going nature is good karma for everyone!
I look forward to each one of your vids, Pete. My grandparents were Kansas Mennonite farmers who I barely knew, and your entertaining, comprehensive vids give me insight as to how their day-to-day lives might have been. Thank you for the incredible education!
@@cassandrafinny Ask away!
Greetings from Paris France .
I'm in the music business which has nothing in common with your kind of occupation , but I love your channel and it has become a big part of the things I like to watch on RUclips .
I especially like the philosophical aspect of your channel .
Thank you and very much appreciated
At the end I saw it! I saw it Mr. Rodgers of farming! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!! Simple farming made for busy people. Just slowing it down. Helpful.
Your H looks great after removing all that barn dust!
Yes!
I like when you have a problem with your tractors and show us the how you solved the problem. That’s how I learn.
Good to see you wearing the greatest college ever tshirt.
Every time my wife and I watch your videos my choir list increases! I have old air compressor tanks, a 6ft bush hog and 2 old flail mowers to get rid of now. Thanks! 🤣
As Pete quietly smiles as his tractor starts on the first click.
Thank you for sharing your .
7:25 I'll never forget this italian guy was up inside a machine while they were doing an install at the company I work for. He jumped out and split his pants, he just flexed and said "Strong! Like bull!" A true classic
Very glad for you and Hillary--we are getting a little older and need to "work and think smarter and not harder.' Makes life a little more easier.
Such a pleasure watching an honest person make an honest living. Thanks for sharing.
I love the sound of the old Farmall tractors, reminds me of my youth. I remember that most of the time I had to hand crank the Super H.
@@cassandrafinny sure
Yes I love the memories of driving the my uncles H back in the summers1960's doing work on his small dairy farm.
there is something so soothing about your videos, it is like an 18 minute mental vacation , thankn you Mr. Lawson
Wow, it's coming along nicely. Can't wait to see what the pig barn is going to look like.
You were busy today. Looks great when old junk is gone. Always a good feeling. Your barn addition will be very nice. The idea of feeding cattle without going out in the weather is genius. There's an old adage that says " never have more cows than your wife can take care of". Sure Hillary will appreciate you keeping her out of the cold. Be safe. Till next time.
LMAO!! 😂
Love the sound of those old tractors , brings back lots of memories
!!
My greatgrandfather, 9th of 16 children, the first to be born in US (from England), had two barns for his cattle and sheep for South Dakota winters. I heard, he would place chickens in the hay lofts above the aminals, the chickens kept the animals under control. As an 8 year old I did not ask the question, I knew what happens if the chicken became upset and I assumed the cattle and sheep where as smart as I.
A clean tractor is a happy tractor.
Gotta tell you Pete, like how you diversifie your videos. You always show true content, win or lose from fencing to cooking building your extension on barn, working on tractors, farmers market etc. I envy you. Your energy is awesome, never a dull moment on the farm. Keeps everyone coming back for more. Your a good man Pete. God bless you and your family
It's really cool to see you removing it rather than bury it! I've seen a couple of people bury trash on their land! And then put a pond nearby. Poor animals 😢
Isn't it exciting to be building the addition and seeing your plans come together! Love the lilacs!
I'm only a few minutes into the video and I just want to say, Pete, you've taught me so much about my Farmall H. Thank you.
Some people were just made for the camera, and you sir are made for the camera. Great content and great videos.
That young man running the skid steer knows that machine and has a good time with it!
Tell your Jokes to the Contractor...great progress, well done.
That was the coolest way ever to see which cylinder was misfiring! I have watched a lot of videos and never saw that trick. Thanks, Pete!!
Watching you start, diagnose and correct the engine misfire, made me realize, so few know simple engine diagnostics. Even fewer are likely to know how to hand crank one!
Ah Pete, this is exciting stuff 🥳 am looking forward to all the plans coming together. It's going to be great. Thanks for taking me along.
H tractor , most fun and comfortable to drive, with good visibility , owned one like that.
I grew up on an H with a sickle mower. Thanks for the memories .expansion makes for a exciting new year. Thanks for sharing,God Bless
You always brighten my day, thanks for all the great videos.
Lilacs!
So much enjoyed this Vlog...
Very nice wind break👍👏
GBY ALL 🙏❤️💙🤗✝️
Love ❤ the old tractors...old stuff is the best 😂
May God bless you and your family! Farming is important to all of us. Amen brother
I always love to watch your old equipement ...
Enjoyed old episode describing your family history on your land thank you. You are a pleasant part of me and my husbands day. We will retire soon and maybe do a hobby farm. We admire your hard work . Thank you. May the good Lord bless you and your family , Richard and Doreen
Fantastic progress there!! I am so excited for you and Hillary!! This will make your business more streamlined and reduce the labour input! WOW!!! I can not wait to see the project finished!
Pete I loved what your doing to make your farm better . 😅
Pete
Everytime i watch your videos makes me wish i lived closer so that i could help you on the farm😊
I’ve cleaned more stalls than I care to think about. If you put a bigger door on the west side. You could open it and drive your bucket loader all the way down the north wall and clean it out. Yip. No hand shoveling. I saw this big beams. I bet they were close to a hundred bucks each. I bought an 18 footer a couple years ago and it was 130 dollars during that damn pandemic. I enjoyed watching that old Farmall. Sure brought back some good memories. Later
Pete's like my grandpa, he likes to get shocked as it doesn't seem to bother him.. Plus my grandpa had 1 of those FarmAll H tractors . Good ole days
Making great progress! That skid-steer looks like fun!
@@Failure_Is_An_Option Yeehaw! Hang on buckaroo! It beats doing it by hand any day.
Great job! I am so happy you are getting rid of stuff/junk from around the farm! It's going to look so good! Bravo, can't wait to see it done!
As me being a gardener, I would make good use of that large metal cauldron as a flower planter! What a find!
Very good episode thank you Pete for letting us all in on the current updates on the farm. Good wholesome entertainment. Thanks
Thanks for sharing your day! Exciting things going on at JAFAF…can’t wait to see the progress!
There are tricks to trapping. Live traps you want to place them solid, so no movement whatsoever. Cover everything completely, no access to anything except through the front door. Make it a cave. And set a hair trigger. Racoons are smart and very aware, very difficult if not impossible to catch in a trap if he's been stung already. A 22 and a flashlight work pretty good though
Well, Pete, you look so nice among the blooms. Husband appreciated the John Deere joke.
Thank you again, Pete, I enjoyed your video.
Awesome progress, wish you could do a video every day... I know you can't.. but excited for you , God bless...
It is a blessing having a builder with a good attitude and great work ethic.
Congratulation Pete. Great improvement that will give more pleasure in your daily chores. Getting rid of all the scrap is already giving a better view of your farm.
Where there’s a will- there’s a way! 😊
Pete is an inspiration to me and my very small farm operation here in Bucks County, PA. We are now about to sell eggs and produce and we have a small petting zoo as well. This took three years of building and digging drainage, I spend most of my time fixing the tractor and chasing goats. 😉
Good morning Pete and Hillary. First thing I do each morning is to check for JAFAF video. Love your functional antique Farmall collection. Nice to be able to diagnose and fix IH engine without a $50,000.00 computer. The old scrap is a history lesson of a kind. Have a great day everyone. BTW - watched video twice - so entertaining.
Always a good video when we see the pigs and mow cows
I admire you so much. You know everything!! Blessings
I was just saying i cant wait for pete to bring out the h. It was nice to see it run.
I always look forward to your videos, Pete. You're living my dream life. Cheers from down under (Aus)
Perhaps a chicken alarm at the chicken homestead would be beneficial. That's what my mother did to alert her at night when any egg sucking dogs were about or coons etc; It worked, and what was learned was that there's predator's about nearly every night. Mom then had a focused flood light come on when the hens became... Mom swears that the chickens were laying more eggs due to her predator alert alarm. Dad agreed with a smile, always saying well we certainly have more live chickens, more hens, more eggs!
It's going to be really nice Pete, Hilary, and family.
Ah hahahaha I love the worker's banter with old mate.
"I didn't know he could bend over that far!"
"How's that raccoon I gave ya?"
Classic.
Ah, the lilacs. Sweet smell.
Old trick is to scald the o rings in boiling water too re-plump them if there not to nicked up.
Thanks Pete!
That old Gehl Skid Steer is in pretty nice shape...
Addition is coming along. Thank you for sharing Pete!
I finish my chores and sat for a little while to see your video thank you
Love the photo minute 12:09, you & the Farmall.....The construction of barn addition is exciting to see it unfold....sure do love Your Farm......another great video~Thanks for sharing Pete~~
Cleaning up is always rewarding. Looking forward!
Farmall M is my favorite antique tractor.
WOW! Big plans at the homestead. Money well spent will bring value in efficiency, thus profits!
I really enjoy watching your show. I was raised on a farm in South Alabama and I now live in South Carolina. I really miss foreman but I get my fix from watching you do it thanks
Glad I caught this barn exoansion. Wow. Fun, too. Good to see you Pete
I could smell that lilac bush! They smell so good.
Billy has certainly grown!!
So much going on! Cleaning the old inventory of maybe has a use pile was crazy. You are on a roll and I wouldn't get in front of the Dynamic Duo or you may be part of the new wall. Amazing work going on and quickly. Exciting!!!
Damn, Billy has GROWN! Wow
I really like this idea! I think its nice that all the cattle will be together. Now imagine one of those Gehl skid steer's in the barn for feeding during the winter! that would be slick! I just cant see you ever owning a skid steer. Also pretty impressed with the determination of that skid steer guy, so many other machines just a few feet away that could of made quick work of that beam and yet he kept at it! I feel like I would of walked over and asked to use the mini ex for a few minutes
I was always so excited when I had work done on my place to watch the guys working and transforming my ideas and sketches into a reality. It's looking great Pete and can't wait until the next episode. You and Hilary have a good day.😊
Hi Pete this is pretty exciting :-)))))) thanks for all your and. Hillary’s Hard work ❤
Can’t wait till it’s time for cutting hay I enjoy watching that with those cool tractors 👍
What a great plan for the cattle winter barn - right next to your hay storage. Feeding them from now on in the winter will be a breeze (well, not so breezy, actually)!
Hi guys Pete you are the best and Hilary you are to but I’d like to see you more I get excited every time I see you and another thing I love your channel
Love what you’re doing praying for you and the family all works out well, keep up the good work.
I believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen you in a PSU shirt, blue looks good on you Pete!!!😀
I like the styling of the old Farmalls. Our friend had one that was pretty new at the time. They had style.
Dang right that cauldron is staying. I have my grandma's that she cooked chickens and pigs in, it's my fire pit now. My mom before she passed told me don't let that get taken by any other family members. I'll pass it on to one of my son's.
I have to say, you've got a great ear, for catching that cylinder on the H that was missing. I am sure that I never would have noticed it myself. It looks like great progress is being made on your addition, and I would say that it looks like you will have a great setup when it's done!
