    So the MSI board doesn't require the Corsair controller that changes fan speed/lights etc?

  • @jubalharshaw24
    @jubalharshaw24 5 лет назад +1

    By my logic the 6 fan hub is simply expanding the number of RGB control ports (JCorsair) on the motherboard from 1 to 6. In theory, a single LL120/140 fan could be installed directly to the JCorsair pin header and function properly. I have read many posts claiming a Lighting Node Pro is required to activate the fan's RGB LEDs but MSI's own manual states the provided JCorsair pin header is compatible with Corsair brand LED strips and fans. Am I incorrect in assuming that someone only wanting to install a single LL1xx fan does NOT need any sort of controller between the JCorsair pin header and the fan?

      I have the exact same question, as far as I remember connecting the LL120 to the RGB header on my mobo (ROG-STRIX-X470-F-GAMING) didnt work.... but I see them connecting the controller to the "5V D G" pins...my mobo specifications say "2 x Aura RGB Strip Header(s)" so that might be the issue....
      I bought the controller and also came without a cable... what a mess!

      I have the same understanding as you. I would assume connecting one fan to the JCorsair header would still work

    Hello, I have a question, I have an MSI motherboard, model 2017-2018 B450 aPro. I wanted to know if the Corsair Lighting Node with led strips is compatible with my motherboard, because I see that it connects to some pins, at the top near the ram memory banks and then to a sata connector (I have the corsair power supply too)

    • @Celiken
      @Celiken 5 лет назад +2

      This is a Corsair RGB LED Cable, you can get it with a lightning node pro (or a triple pack fan). Sadly Corsair don't sell it alone.
