Bill, that is a very nice find and fix. Took it as a trade in, gave guy a good deal on other machine, and turn around and sell this one for good price. Great work!!
Right? It really isn't. I did the whole fix in one take and didn't edit it after it started just because I knew people would think I did something else on the side. It got gas and filters before I started videoing and wouldn't kick at all.
going to start working on weedeaters, so thought I'd better watch some vids on them. I would suppose they are basically the same as mowers only smaller (and 2stroke of course) Probably need some fuel lines and primer bulb supplies I'm guessing...ha
I was just saying the world is giving me good stuff lately. That one got a little abuse under load this afternoon and so far the only thing I see that I don't like is that it likes to start without touching the throttle, I am used to holding them wide open when starting.
@@barryewalt3606 I am not. It starts easy enough but it seems odd that I am not holding the trigger when I start it. I am going to do 2 or 3 cold morning starts just to make sure I can count on it before letting it escape the garage 🙂 It idles and sounds really good. Edit: getting the trimmer head off was a chore in itself so it balanced out in the end
@@barryewalt3606 Well, it did have a ton of compression and I don't see many weedeaters with that much power (1.2 hp. A lot for a weedeater), maybe it's normal? I suppose a couple days of cold starts and runs under load will tell me what I need to know
@@robertmailhos8159 I was surprised by that one. I don't think I have ever seen a plug make a difference starting unless the motor was a real mess. It got me gas and filters but that's the first thing I do and I am not thinking of made a huge difference the old gas looked ok.
I am going to give it a little while wide open under load and see if it fits anything different. It's easy to load a weedeater, you take the string cover of and let too much string out.
I think any luck I might have ends at the lottery counter 🤣 I do make a lot of deals, some better than others and I will admit that lately it feels like the world is being nice to me. Not gonna complain because I have a chainsaw in the list that has a mystery problem.

We both got good deals this time, he got a solid weedeater for half of summer prices and I got another to fix. Yard karma, lol
Not seen someone put a plug in with a closed gap before. Good work.
I am sure it happens all the time but we don't see it. Thanks

Richard I agree but generally the spark plug can tell a big story!
Not this one though. It was new
Well that was easy, and that little trimmer will sell. Good one Bill.
Thanks, it was an easy one for sure. I am surprised it's not already gone but it will be soon
Just Subscribed, Bill. Nice to see you on Renaldo's live stream. Take Care Craig
Thanks Craig! If you ever have something particular you want to see, let me know. I am always looking for new ideas.
@@GuysPlayingWithTools will do
Nice job and it sounded great. It always helps to switch it on tho. I thought at one stage we were going to get sa song from you.
I sing all the time, I edit it out for fear of violating the Geneva Convention rules about indirect torture. 🤣

If you are planning to work on 2 strokes, the parts supplies will come quickly. They just seem to accumulate 🙂
Looks like my Kawasaki KFTR27A. You have the most luck on YT!
I dunno about that. 😁
I am on a roll lately but I believe that the time I spend doing nice things for people just keeps finding its way back.

Lol, switching it on helps. I guess we’ve all done that
Hey at least I only pulled the cord 3 or 4 times this time. 🤣
@@GuysPlayingWithTools we all need to get a work out at least once a day. You got yours without even knowing it 😁
@Al Mclean I got cardio yanking the cord lol.
I am one of those people who never stops moving. I am like the energizer bunny.
Score on that one Bill.
I got lucky on that one. Some days you get 3 in a row with blown cylinder walls, other days everything just works. 🙂
And a nut off Bill 😄
🤣
That was an easy fix, always pays not to overlook the obvious !
Yeah, but if we were all more careful we would empty tanks in the fall, not store stuff outside.... I would need a different channel 🤣
