For too long Ian has hauled around the carcass of a vintage first generation Celica. Now is the time of its rebirth. We'll be occasionally re-releasing a lot of older footage from throughout the 10ish years of this project until we're up to date with the present and this old girl goes autocrossing. Stay tuned.

I owned a 73 TA22 Celica.(in my youth) My favorite beloved pride & joy of all time. It was my daily driver/track car It was so much fun to drive. Unfortunately I had to sell it but it was becoming very rusty in all of the bad places. Enjoy the car mate & never let it go.
I currently have a RA20 1971 (built in 1970) and I put a vinyl top on it. It caused the roof to rust out. Thankfully I snagged a roof back in the day and just need to weld it on.
Vinyl tops are the enemy of these old dragons. My 73 had a new roof welded on to replace a worm hole ex-vinyl roof as well.
Glad to find this!! I have two '76 ra24s that are turning into longtime projects as well.
my 72 celica has been a project (that hasn't started) for over 20 years!!! I keep saying.. "one of these days"...

The engine was built by my guru Charlie out in Boulder and there’s no video of that sadly. But I have coolant to plumb and carbs to tune so there’s bound to be plenty of footage there.

Remember when I said an update every week? HA! Well, life happens. But there are MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS in my progress and I'll be making a video soon to intro yet another Celica that I'm adding to my stable and this one.. you'll have to see to believe.

It's like Toyota downgraded when they shifted to Fwd, same with the Corollas they should've stayed Rwd.
So much hate on the 2nd gen 🥲 I’ve got a 79 coupe and 77 coupe both beautiful cars
The coupes aren't too bad... but I bet that 77 looks way better when they sit side by side. Even with big rubber bumpers.
