Great review. I have/had some Jabra 75T but I lost one of them and am looking to get replacements. Was thinking I would go with the Elite 7 Pro so doing some research. I don't do a lot of phone calling with my earbuds but when I do, people have commented on "background" noise. It sounds as if the Elite 7 Pros still may have "background noise" issues... hmmmm. ???
I use the Elite 7 Pro since 1 month and definitely hear a difference. I set up the ANC before the new Firmware in Front of my Air Purifier which is quite loud and was disappointed that not much got filtered. With the new Firmware the noise gets filtered very Well. The other day i walked 50m away from a small starting Helicopter and didnt hear anything. I guess it depends a lot on what kind of noise there is. I am personally very Happy with the new Firmware.
Was thinking if i should take these ones, or airpods pro... What would you suggest ? I updated to 2.2.0 yesterday and I think the ANC is a little be improved. Mind you everyone should run the Personalized ANC setup which I found made a significant improvement to the ANC. I find it’s just as good if not better than my XM4. And I like the sounds better in the Elite 7 Pro than the XM4 too, especially the treble. The multi device works much better than my 85t which when two devices were connected, I’d get momentary audio drop outs from time to time. That is completely gone with the 7 Pro.

Still wondering why Jabra as a specialized manufacturer has not a single product that comes even close to the darn airpods. Soundwise the 85t are great, but the mics on all Jabra earbuds are practically useless.
Totally agree! I have the 85ts (terrible at phone calls) and was looking to get the 7 Pros because I heard they were better than the two for calling in noisy environments. Would you agree?
Hello Aaron, just to let you know the Elite 7 Active is very bad when used for MSTeams meeting (voice sounded far away) and Jabra just state that they do not support usage from PC. This is a vast downgrade considering some of us upgraded from Elite Active 75T that does not have this issue. For me, the whole point of Multipoint is to have a earbuds that connects to both my phone and laptop at the same time and this flaw basically renders the buds to be useless for such application.
Hello All! I just purchased Jabra Elite 7 Active buds and I'm trying to update my firmware with the Sound+ application but I'm unable to do so. I have tired this a dozen or so times with resets and other gimmicks but the firmware download always ends with "Update Failed" -error message. I have an Iphone 14 Pro Max with IOS 16.1.1. installed. Any advice?
This was also a problem for me, I just kept trying and then finally it worked. At some point the app will ask you to place your headphones back in the case and the case will also update with a pink flashing light. That took quite long but now im finally through that. Good luck!
Too bad they didn't update the Bluetooth codecs... It's absolutely CRIMINAL that Jabra thought their flagship earbuds weren't worthy of the superior AptX codec that exists on their budget earbuds (the Elite Active 3 & 4).
I'd love to be able to comment about the imrpovements introduced by the firmware updates but I fear I'll never experience them. Having just bought the 7 active I've now been unable to sucessfully perform the update for more than a week. Frustratingly I have to pair the buds each time I open the Jabra + app and sometimes several times whilst still in the app. And the number of times the firmware update has failed is just tragic. I'm using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and never imaged I'd have such problems. I've removed and re-installed the app multiple times, instructed the phone to forget the device and re-pair. I've been a champion of Jabra for some time but I'll be returning these buds tomorrow and will steer clear of the brand for a while. Shocking experience...

Too bad they didn't update the Bluetooth codecs...
It's absolutely CRIMINAL that Jabra thought their flagship earbuds weren't worthy of the superior AptX codec that exists on their budget earbuds (the Elite Active 3 & 4).
Me ,with elite 3 here,hehe
I am an Android user and would continue to. What are the best earbuds or headphones out there as on today for regulal phone calls on phone and office calls? (Best call quality- overall)
Airpods
Technics az60 for calls in noisy environment,
Nothing ear 1 and 1 more comfobuds pro for clarity
OnePlus Buds Pro, Jabra Elite 75t. Both have multi-point, sound good in Android. OnePlus edges the Jabra mic pick up due to their AirPods like design.
Thank you all. I have Song WH- XB900N which I use only for music as I am base head and audiophile.
For regular phone calls which one would you suggest. Is Sony WF-XM4 or Jabra Elite or pro and Airpods? I know airpods is best as I checked it but doesn't work well with andioid.
Has there been any improvement to background noises coming through?
How would u compare this to l3p
Have you don't the same test for the 85t? I'd be curious to see it
Nice stuff..
I have Jabra Pro 7. Sound call in noisy place especially in the car is terrible
thanks I won't update as I don't use for calls but if it drops the bass a no for me thanks for the heads up.
Hey,I'm using sony wh xb910n since a month, but I'm unable to use them with LDAC prioritised for sound quality unfortunately!the moment I do so and play something, it automatically looses its connection and connects back!hence I'm stuck with SBC!My phone does supports LDAC and I have tried everything using developers option but it doesn't work!
Please help me!
I'm using a Nokia smartphone (Nokia 7plus)
Ldac doesn't work for Bluetooth on Nokia 7 plus buddy. I've seen so many people saying this on reddit. One person even shared screenshot shot of the Nokia support chat
@@vishnuvijwani okay, but how does it allows these options in developers mode?
Anyways thank you for information 🙂
@@Mee399 idk mate. Must be a bug or something
Sennheiser's anc is close to the best but i would not suggest them for working out.
What about the multipoint??
In terms of sound, xm4 or this 7 pro ?
I think xm4? I just bought 7 pro but I'm kinda disappointed with the sound, but doesn't mean it sucks tho. I own xm3 and prefer to listen to music using my xm3. But for meetings, workout I would use 7 pro for comfort.
@@hakpui thanks, I'm using xm4 now, but just wondering about this 7 pro
Hmm, why would they reduce bass. Oh well, at least not by much like you say
for call quality, I think the old version 2.0.0 is way better than the new 2.2.0 firmware
Thank you for your great videos.
Do you know/ or can you check if the 7 elite active, works with WhatsApp calls and WhatsApp voice messages? Does it work fine when using it for Zoom and Teams calls on MacBook Air M1? Thank you.
I just got the 7 active.. had 75t they got stolen.. then bought Sony Xm3 and must of had defective pair bc batteries lasted 2 hours tops and the bass sucked @## compared to Jabras. I returned X3 for Jabra 7.. with the updates the Jabra 7 are now like the 75t.. imo Jabra are the best for Bass they blow Sony X3 away... idk why Sony Xm3 Xm4 are so hyped.. imo they suck.. Jabra are the best I have heard.. and I have tried a bunch
Did the update improve the base on the jabra 7 pro series ?
@@tracer073 definitely.. it's on par with 75t just a little cleaner
Wiil galaxy buds pro anc improve by update?
my actives are awesome i had the pro's but heard to much bad stuff about them with the actives you dont need anc the isolation is good enough i took the pros back and just go another pair of actives they are that good and one of the only earbuds i own that i am not fidgeting with and keep having to reposition them
The ANC a way better in 2.2.0
Be cool if you tweeted everytime you dropped a new video 😉
Done!
