In the review, I say that the bio card is in Chinese. A couple of posters have informed me that it is Japanese. Unfortunately, I can't tell the diffence. I'm probably wrong. Can anyone else confirm the language?
Haha this review is awesome! Just about makes me want a brawn for the sake of it. I super duper enjoyed the fact that he pretty much condensed himself down into the stocky bot he becomes. This really was a fantastic toy Fun fact, this actually does scale pretty well to bee haha
I think the quick transformations that I do to close out the reviews are my favourite part of making these. Not only do they remind me of the Magic of animation, it also means that I'm almost done. Now if I could only get Spike to scale with everything... I know he's a boy, but out of context he just looks like a wee man.
I wasn't sure if people would notice the little things like that. You've got a good eye. I like it when reviewers do fun things with cards, some people throw them off-screen with sound effects like they are blowing up.

Hi D C, I'm getting a lot of that lately. I guess I was off the radar for too long after Swagwave. Hopefully the next review will be more simply and thus faster to make.
Favorite Autobot of all time. He could hold his own against most Decepticons. Still salty how he died though. I have the Titans Return one, he doubles as a Xmas tree decoration.
I love the "U" in your "favourite." I like Brawny's character, an older guy sort of like Kup. His first toy would have been disappointing to anyone who saw him on the show first. The more of these videos I do, the more I appreciate the 2nd and 3rd string characters.
@@CardboardBots The internet may not have borders, but I'm still a proud Canuck in Cyberspace. :D The redeeming quality of the G1 Brawn for me was that he was one of the biggest minibots. Almost as tall as the carbots. Yeah those minibots have more personality than most bots twice their size!
Great review as always. It's been too long. Your stop motion work is some of the best on RUclips. Would you ever consider doing some non review stop motion videos for the Transformers, like fight scenes or your own take on classic comic or cartoon scenes? You've definitely got a talent for animation. I look forward to your next video.
Thanks for those kind words, Wind Sweeper. Over the summer I did four or five short transformers animations that were not reviews. I have very limited space and lighting for shooting so I don't really have the ability to do more elaborate scenes or recreations. Sometimes a choreographed fight scene can look very cool especially when the technique is good, but I'm rarely interested in a fight scene just because it looks cool. I feel there ought to be some motivation or purpose to it, or a punchline at the end at the very least. I think right now I am happy working in the review format and adding in little skits or asides when I want to follow a creative indulgence. I'm not really interested in telling a larger story. There are already some great people doing fabulous work in that vein. I love watching them myself. Ideally, I want to do tighter, shorter pieces that require less of a commitment, but I always end up going overboard with little extras. I like improv, which is spontaneous, but I like stop motion which it methodical. Combining both has been a challenge... But rewarding. I'm really glad you asked your question. Who know, maybe one day the mystery box will have a short story animation inside.
@@CardboardBots Nice to get some insight into what you like. I agree that as nice as a well animated fight scene is, the motivation or story should be the priority. There are some great animators out there but most of them seem to prefer comedic clips which more often than not aren't funny. Personally I'd prefer more dramatic clips but that's just me. I totally enjoy your reviews. I was delighted to see this new review from you yesterday. Hi Robert Ban. Thanks for watching. I'm not 100% sure, but I think both the 2014 and 2017 versions of the toy are the same in terms of quality. The older version just doesn't come with an accessory pack by default... I don't think. It was a carboard tube call the "Quint Journal," if I remember correctly. Those accessories would have been the big gun, the gun adapter for the roof, maybe the welding torch, and possibly the alternate face. I understand that FanToys will probably release their Brawn sometime this year. You could go that route, or you could probably pick up a Badcube version pretty cheap when the FT version comes out. Thanks, Tournait
Cardboard Bots oh, you’re so welcome. I am a real hardcore Transformers fan, and I love these stop-motion reviews. I’ve watched this particular video about four times now... I LOVE IT!
P.S. you’ll have a field day animating the new War For Cybertron Siege figures. Here’s hoping you can find some in stock!
I admit... Many of those new siege toys look good and address much of the criticism of hollowness that I have levelled at hasbro. I'm not sold on the dirty decoration.
I think, I'm most interested in Siege Hound.
Cardboard Bots Well, it’s a trilogy. I bet that by the next series in the trilogy, we’ll get a Bee and a Ratchet and probably Gears and maybe a nice new Blitzwing.
Que genial la review. Asombrosa. Haz pensado en hacer una de final victory. www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/final-victory-not-g1-brawn.1161268/
Thank you. Yes, I have seen that web page. Final victory Brawn looks cleaner and has a very interesting transformation. I am happy with Brawny, but I would like to transform the final victory toy.
HES A FUN TOY BUT FANS TOYS IS BETTER SOME FAULTS BUT BETTER

You got it, I guess it wasn't too hard to identify.
I think it's Japanese and not chinese.
Really? oh snap. I'd better look into that.
