Are you going to try out your new toy? the portable airbrush spray booth? yes i still rattle can most big things and brush the little parts. but thinking of air brushin parts
Great video Doc, Im a complete airbrush virgin , just purchased a Badger 250 single action set, but Im looking out for an air compressor. But this vid has given me the kick I need to get moving and start airbrushing.
Thx for making this video proved point to myself I need to wait for a airbrush. Building a AMT C-600 along with other truck kits and there is a lot of small parts. I was gonna rattle can it primer and paint but think I will get it ready and wait for airbrush.
I love using my airbrushes but i understand why some may have fears of using one. I would suggest starting of by using a regular spray gun and get use to that and the mixing of paints before jumping into using an airbrush. For those that think they can do it right out of the box, maybe try a single action brush first. Nice informative video Doc! Cant wait to see these Chevy's!!
Good vid Doc, I too was apprehensive about the airbrush way back when. I kept seeing the finished product from people who knew how to use them and was hooked. The key is patience and practice, noting what got you the desired results and what happened if it went south. I've only sprayed enamels and the Model Master Metalizers( try the ones you can buff if you haven't). Keep it up, Best wishes.
I've got to get one of these and get practicing. It would come in handy on my Halloween props. Also I just purchased a Moebius Bride of Frankenstein model and there's a lot of cool detail on it. Models are sure good for keeping the mind active and passing the time.
thanks fir the tips doc..also when it comes to thining i use those little drop thinks that look like turkey basers. you can get them at craft stores ..you should make a vid on chooseing color combos for you bodys and int and motor i have a tough time with that
The Vallejo primers are the bomb, but they come in more than just those 3 colors. Actually available in 16 different colors, as well as multiple sizes. The Grey, Black and White also come in a larger 200ml bottle. Best place to get them....at Elm City Hobbies
I have a hobbyist group on facebook and I always recommend my members to watch your videos , if you are on facebook it would be great if you passed by wicked toycollectors creations

I’d rather air brush my parts because, it’s way better than what I can do by hand. It’s perfect.
Great video Doc. Thanks for sharing. I'm slowly transitioning to using airbrush.

I take it that this primer is prethinned
Totally agree, Airbrushing can seem a bit scary at first. Now almost everything gets sprayed with an airbrush. Its a lot easier than it looks.
How do you know the part number when you cut it off the sprue??
Hi.. You primer it, and then you paint color with the airbrush as well? How if you need to detail small parts of different collors?
lmao lololololololol I thought I was the only guy in the world who sprayed him self in the face with water from an air brush. Love you doc...
What sized needle do you use for Vallejo primer?
+Timothy Fritz The 05.
Why aren't you use Plastikote on the small part?
Gonna do a littl shout out again today just about random stuff. I'm not
Sure if I'm gonna start airbrushing. I'd like to but I'm just not committed.
