Great vid., Doc! I always enjoy your videos.. As an avid AFV modeler, I use washing enthusiastically. U probably know this already, but When U get a pool of paint, like u did on your engine, U can go back as u did with brush, or as the traditional AFV modelers do, wait for few minutes and with DAMPENED q-tip with the thinner, pickup the excess paint. Keep the GREAT videos coming!!
I've so far used it like on doors and thinking of using the method on the closed headlights on an opel I'm building for a person. I basically use it to just as a line highlighter. Good job Chap!!
Perfect timing, I am currently working on a US Half-Track Mortar Carrier M21 (My first military armour build), and I am at this point in the process. Unfortunately, due to me lady being out of work, I can't afford these wonderful products from AK, however, I am trying to save up. Lucky I have a few models to build while I am waiting. Thanks for sharing your tips, Happy Modeling!
Gonna check out their website. I'm looking to rebuild my paint collection. Tamiya is good, but I would like to try some different paints. Thanks for the info Doc.
I was watching a RUclips video by Chrs Chapman and he mentions something about weathering and I asked him what he uses. He said he use acrylic black paint water down. Have you ever used it before? I know he is a believer in using craft acrylic paints because they are cheaper.
Great video Doc. I can't wait to get some AK washes, and the book! Very mice technique. I never really got into building military stuff, but I used washes from 70% alcohol and different inks.
Hi doc, Been following the brand for my miniatures experiment, think i'll order a few of their products soon as they seems quite usefull. Did you happen to try out their chipping fluids ? (saw from your last vids that you were a salt'oolic when it comes to chipping but they might be a good alternative) let me know, P.S On a sidenote just stumbled (that's the word as it's well hidden around your bunch of links) your art gallery and omg, it's full of goodness ! keep on happy cre-art'ing

What number is the black wash jar?
How do you remove excess wash from places you maybe didn't intend to apply it?
You can use a swab moist with a little alcohol.
I use a Q tip for places like the front grill
I just looked at AK INTERACTIVE'S website. EVERYONE should check it out!
Hey Doc.. I received my black wash today. From AK wow. For shipping cost. I'll buy several next time. Can't wait to try it. Best wishes pal.. Bob
How much is your book and how can I get it?
