I fixed the front end on my two man ship aswell. I also brought the two prongs closer together but I changed the plate work on the front top, for a much more intentional and streamlined look. I didn't like how they just slapped 2x6 tiles on the top, it looked lazy. I used the remaining wedge plates, grill plates and two of the 2x6 tiles to make split vent channel down the front. It now looks like it was designed that way.
@@germancustombricks Can you show some more about how you changed the way the canopy hinges are attached on your version? Can it be done with the parts from the 10497 or did you have to get some parts from your collection?
@@rc-fannl7364 As it turns out, i am doing a whole set of stand-alone instructions as there are too many design changes now too just make some simple mod instructions. Some of the changes do require extra parts that are not in the 10497 set.
@@germancustombricks The alternate nose, can it be made with just parts from the set? I didn't get a good look at how the bottom part of it is constructed. I was able to at least cover up some of the extra colors showing from the bottom with parts from the kit, and also added a few "half" Technic pins so the landing gear can not be pushed in a little too far, and not be fully flush with the bottom of the wing

Nice mods on this modern 924. I still think Lego should have included printed bricks with 918 and 924 with the set, as icing on the cake.

I’m currently working on building a forklight from the left over brick after making this alt build.
I will be posting a new set of instructions, complete including the forklift in the next week or two…!

Can the 10497 Galaxy Explorer fit on the base plate in the video? I only see the medium sized ship fitting on it but not the larger one.
Both the new LL924 and LL918 can fit on the original landing plate but the New LL928 is way to big.
