Just stunning vid and photos- the master at work! And, please keep your dialog going, your passion and respect for nature comes through and we all need to hear that!
😃 Hi Steve, your videos are great. Please don't start uploading too many shorts like many other RUclipsrs have started doing. The videos are much more illustrative about your work and you can tell us the details. It also allows us to go into the locations you frequent and enjoy the outings with you...... and Stephanie !!! Hola Steve Geniales tus videos.
Good to see Stephanie with you. I am sure she doesn’t want to be on camera and I respect that. It is good to you with family every once in a while too.
That place never gets old. The crashing waves, the wildlife, exotic vegetation (for a mountain man), wish it were not so far. Great shots as usual. Those backlit spread wings are just something to marvel at.
A change in atmosphere for you, Steve. It looked like a beautiful and calm morning to do what you do. It was very sweet of your lovely wife to do your videography work. Great vlog as usual.
A fun bit of walk-about. There were too many photos I liked to mention them all but the slow-shutter motion photo of the pelican at 13:50 in the video stood out for me. Thanks to you and Stephanie for helping us to tag along.
An enjoyable video to watch this morning. Lighting experimentation with the coastal bird life was great. Thanks for taking us along on your family vacation, Steve. All the best to you and Stephanie!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Now from Mexico, while I'm watching your video, I'm under a tree waiting for dawn to have good light and be able to take a photo of a kinkajú that is in the roots of a tree.
Steve, Wishing you and Stephanie a fun-filled family vacation. Safe travels! I will be approaching back-lite photography different now, based on this amazing video and the guidance you provided throughout the segment. I commend you for taking the time to assist me and others. For sure, you're making a positive influence on my photography. THANK YOU!!! Is the covering on your 180-600, LensCoat or another brand?
So you've gone from photographing mating grizzlies to mating gulls. Wonder what else you'll come across on those California beaches😂😂 hope you enjoyed your vacation.
Tons of people I talk to think you need golden hour light to get amazing photos but you can make some amazing art with the pre sunrise light with birds in flight.
Who makes the skin cover for your lens, and how do you like it? I have a neoprene one now, but it covers the controls, which is annoying. Looking for a better option.
I'm currently torn between the Z9 and Z8 (with the grip) for wildlife. Currently using a D500 (with grip) & a 500mm f4 & Sigma 150-600mm C. Any advice as you have used both bodies.

"Good wife... good life". Oh...and the images were good too.😊 Enjoy your time with family.
Appreciate the full length videos! So many have gone to shorts to blow up their subscribers.
Haha thanks, glad some people still have an attention span over 90 seconds…

All I could hear was “Take My Breath Away” when the silhouettes of the copulating gulls came up.

Very nice Steve.
Hung out at La Jolla several times growing up in South San Diego. Such A beautiful place. Great shots and video work.
Stephanie clearly supports your passions / career. Niiiiice. ;)

The pelicans on pelican cove often leave when we get out on the beach.
Awesome images!

Have fun!
Great images, Steve!
Beautiful and very artistic pics Steve! Cool video!
Thanks for watching 👍
Good for her getting your coffee. That's what you get for dragging her out that time of the morning!
LaJolla is the only place I've been where there is a storefront Rolls Royce dealership. Pretty cool.
Supercool 👍
Nice video, where did you get the music? Love the piano
Nice images, thanks for sharing !!
Glad you enjoyed it
Ah man....I wish I knew you were in SD. La Jolla is my favorite place to just find some peace.
It’s pretty lovely!
Excellent to see you working as always. I don’t even mind the talking! 😅
Ha!
Cool mix of photos Steve 👍🏻
Thanks 👍

Hi Stephanie.
ISO 500 was the sweet spot it seems. What helps you choose your ISO setting?
Tons of people I talk to think you need golden hour light to get amazing photos but you can make some amazing art with the pre sunrise light with birds in flight.
I agree
Excellent video!
Thanks!
Love it! Well done dude!
Thanks!
Why didn't you photograph the seals and sealions?
Love it, great video 🙏 I wonder if you turn off the VR when you use the motion blur.
I don’t
You ever coming to the U.K. Steve?

If you’re planning on using the grip, I’d get the Z9
Loved the video but I thought the bears copulating was your favorite shot? 😂
Could be 🤔
You sure are getting lots of “mating” photos lately! I didn’t think you did that kind if work!(lol)
Great photos Steve. You can retire now.
Sweet, thanks!
Fun to meat Stephanie. But oat milk? Are you serious?! I almost ended being a subscriber…but I didn’t. 😉
