I dont understand why people are stressing about signings. Slot didnt even get time to look at his first 11 and see what he needs to improve ,how can he sign players already?
I can guarantee that Slot has been watching plenty of videos from games to see what he has got, so he will have some idea of what he might want to buy and sell. I cannot believe for one minute that he is going in having not done a lot of research over the last couple of months.

To me it gave me the impression they have absolutely no plan for this transfer window. Have said it before that it's too soon for Edwards to put his plan into place.

@@BigV24 Hughes was talking in general about the expected pattern of the window. Not LFC. He also said we need to be opportunists....how can you not get from that we don't have a solid plan?

To me it’s a clearest sign ever that we are keeping our typical attitude towards signings and transfer markets which is to stay “tight-lipped”.. some smart business to come but don’t expect many guys, Slot is going to work with what he has for the first year and then go from there… and yes, very good squad, arguably the best for a good 20 odd years!

Believe me, FSG will not sign any players. Liverpool's name will be linked with players they can't get (Leny Yero, Rodrygo, Arda Guller.....) this summer. Even the medias and journalists close to the club have become FSG's puppets. Usually if Liverpool were going to sign an important player, they would do it before the pre-season. But as we see it now, we are not signing long-term target players, Richard Hughes have given us indication! Matts Wieffer, Michael Olise, Ricardo Calafiori...... gone as of now! 😢😢😢😢😢😢

I didn't find anything strange tbh with you. There is a lot of lads back from injury and loans.
A lot of the younger guys did well last season that need to be awarded. Plus some players it was only their first season last year.
I understand it and think we don't need any players unless it is really a quality player to boost the first 11.

It's nice to know that losing out on £100 mill with salah wont affect the spending as prices go up yet again. Seen some crazy priced prawn sandwich seats. Clubs too rich for me now. In a corrupt league.

What I have seen from another very reputable Liverpool commentator is that LFC are trying to push Salah out as they know he is planning to sit and wait until the end of the season an see out his contract. Unless the Saudis or for Mo personally, somebody like Madrid (not happening) come in with a tempting offer now he is going to sit tight.
This is a huge mistake by Liverpool as they were told during contract negotiations with Mo's agent that Mo would sit tight. He should have been sold last year.

It was always going to be about a free move for any agent as that is where the big money is for them and their client. TBF I can’t blame them, as has been seen with any player the club doesn’t have any loyalty in the other direction, it’s business. Klopp wanted to keep Milner for another season, Milner was still doing a job which during the injury ravaged season we could have done with, but the club cut him loose…..
I think the only risk from Mo’s side is that he has a poor season and gets less money or a bad injury, so hopefully he has a great season and heads for the payday after giving the club some great service!
Salah doesnt deserve a pay rise...Not the player he was regardless of stats..I would offer a 1 year extension but move him inside and get a new right sided player.

If the club has no contract extension for Salah,the player has all the power as to what he does..No club can force a player to leave...Once all the players have returned from touraments or holidays contracts will I'm sure be discussed..August for me is leaving it too late to sign new players..Agents are the ones who sort transfers,so players who are on International duty can still be signed in July..We need the squad set for pre season not a week before the season starts.

I got the impression they have not target any specific player to build on the squad and worryingly they'd be happy to start with the squad he inherited. A squad which as it is fell short last season and as our rivals are adding players we could be playing catch up yet again.

What I heard in the response to his formation and system, with the "who told you we played in a 4-2-3-1? I think it was more a 4-3-3..." is that... he will not change the ayatem much at all. At least this year. Or he was told to not change too much. Because he clearly used the 4-2-3-1 more in attack. It is on tape.

@@darrenbeard9517 it’s known Klopp was fixated on Tchouameni and Jude. Then Caicedo. His insistence on these names only meant that we didn’t pursue any alternatives which has really stuffed up our succession planning. Endo is a fine squad player but long term we are missing that elite DM.
