I have to say I am really, really enjoying the way Slot has gone about his work so far. The training feels very fresh and it's clear he has an emphasis on physicality in his game - which the fitness records of his teams backs up. I am very optimistic for this season that we can at least stay top four and push on from there.
Fun fact: the word slot has several meanings in Dutch, including “ending” or “final” as in “final minutes”. When he became our coach, Feyenoord started to play increasingly well towards the end of games. We called that the “Slotfase”, literally meaning “final (Slot) phase”. So, nice observation on the focus on fitness. It’s was indeed one of the key factors for Slot’s success at Feyenoord. We could have the worst start in the world, but we always came back, simple because our player were way more fit than our opponents.

bro the amount of games Feyenoord won under him while playing bad but just having the better stamina is crazy. Liverpool will be drilled the same and will win those hard games because of it. Enemy's will get tired of relentless pressure in like the 70th minute. Just watch :)

It wasn't always like this for Liverpool even a few seasons after Klopp became our manager. This atmosphere is more the last 4 or 5 seasons. I hope Slot keeps it this way too. A good crop of players is much more than just their level of talent and skill, it's also their personality and character that's important.
Really want to see Curtis step up bigtime this season. He cant be seen as a youngster anymore and needs to start taking the lead and taking charge in games. He’s well capable…he just needs to believe in himself and start bossin’ it. YNWA
I love seeing more intensity in training, looks like they are getting them working a lot more on strength and intensity / explosive training. Love seeing new goalkeeper training with the glasses etc. new ideas to help push this group to be even better. Can’t wait for the full squad to be back and fully training again.

Arne is a proper footy coach… He’s heavily involved on the training pitch 👌🏽 I think it will benefit him and his coaching staff that alot of the big hitters, egos and personalities are away while he’s getting a closer look at the younger players as he settles into the new surroundings & job. By the time the likes of VVD, Trent, Diaz, Nunez are back both Arne and the boys should be settled nicely into the new regime, and know eachother and the big guns will have to be on it and ready because they know they are behind in terms of time to show the new boss what they are all about…and im sure they will. Looking forward to more of these videos so we can see how things differ behind the scenes and see what stays the same. Keep it up guys 👏 YNWA

Pep was great btw, but having the actual main man on the training field showing his ideas himself will get that little bit more outta the boys, and its only marginal gains we need cos we’re already competitive at the top. I'm impressed with the goal keeper passing drills and scanning. We will have better keeper usage of the ball this coming season. And out outfield players will have more emphasis on keeping the ball and play possessions game rather than counter attacking and counter press all the time.
You got it, it’s all about the defense and the keeper to be able to pass the ball around, find the free man in the midfield coming from backs moving inside and then attack. Every Feyenoord fan was watching HOL-ENG first half and saw that they can’t do what Arne does with his teams, stay cool find the free man and it all starts with the keeper and the confidence of the player and wanting to play football and pass the ball quickly and forward. If Slot can do 50% with LFC what he did with our Feyenoord with players that came from nowhere cheap, then you are in for a treat
We will be seeing alot of counter pressing and transitions slot likes this too .. but we will see more emphasis on build up less longer balls and direct play etc ... faster combinations less just trying to overrun teams ... but slot used show his team klopps liverpool and dortmund teams to show them how to work off the ball ... his philosiphy is different on the ball but off it alot of similarities like hes said himself

Crazy when you think about the Liverpool squads of the 70's, 80's... maybe 15-20 players on the books. I remember sometimes Liverpool having only two subs on the bench. Tough lads back in those days to get through a season. Again we have hope for the new season and the young lads coming through the ranks.

The intense focus on core stability and balance is really interesting. Not much weight just unstable resistance. I'm gonna have to incorporate that into my training more...
