I’m doing mine right now on the Ram and I think you have to pull the ac compressor and bracket for the truck version. The bracket covers part of the last bolt there on the bottom unfortunately.
I haven't replaced one on a truck but the bracket was almost covering it on the Grand Cherokee also but I was able to get it with a wobbly socket if I remember correctly. Thanks for watching!
@@Fktg_tactical I did mine last weekend in a truck and you definitely have to pull the ac and bracket. There is just no room behind the bracket on the Ram version. Oh well, got it out with a little extra work. Thank you!
I was just wondering if you saw any way for oil to get into the coolant. Obviously the oil pressure is higher than the coolant pressure so I presume it will get by the rubber gaskets. They look pretty much identical to the 3.6l gas housing huh?
I did a bunch of research before replacing the cooler instead of just the hose. They supposedly have issues with the coolant getting into the oil which is why we replaced it. It has the similar appearance of a 3.6 except it's like $850 instead of $350 and all aluminum and no plastic. Thanks for watching!
Hi great video! I just happened to stumble upon it. The dealer changed my oil cooler last year and I feel like my oil temp runs hotter now. I'm not sure why. When I'm on the highway doing 70-75 my oil temp goes to 226. Before the replacement I don't think it ever went above 212. Is it just me? What is the temp on your jeep at highway speeds? Thank you!
This wasn't my Jeep. It was a clients Jeep but he was always saying the oil temp ran hot before and after I replaced the cooler. I can't remember how hot but I will pay attention to my wife's GC Ecoddiesel and see what it says as it's supposed to be 105' here today. Stay tuned for update and Thanks for watching!

How do you conduct a system flush after oil l has been going to the reservoir tank
The only proper way is to go to a shop with a flush machine and good additives and have them do it properly.
@@Fktg_tactical thankyou

I just drove the gc for about an hour and a half in 100-108’ and the engine oil temp was at 222-228’ and we haven’t had any issue.
Will oil or antifreeze start leaking when taking off?
Yes, they both will leak when cooler is removed. The coolant will leak when the hoses come off as well.
What is the part number of the hose? Mine has swelled up as well?
68147604AA Thanks for watching!
Can you replace the hose from the bottom without removing the oil cooler?
