Erik's (Trevor Morgan) reunion with his parents is interrupted by a hungry Spinosaurus.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Director Joe Johnston takes over the creative reins from Steven Spielberg for this third installment in the thriller franchise. Sam Neill returns as Dr. Alan Grant, a scientist who's tricked by wealthy couple Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Tea Leoni) into a fly-over of Isla Sorna. The object of their sightseeing tour is one of the Costa Rican islands populated by ferocious, genetically bred dinosaurs and the "site B" setting of Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World (1997). After their plane crash-lands, it's revealed that the Kirbys are actually seeking their teenage son, lost on the island after a paragliding accident. Trapped on Isla Sorna, Grant and his companions discover some painful truths the hard way. Among their discoveries: some of the scaly monsters possess more advanced communicative abilities than previously believed, the dreaded Tyrannosaurus Rex has a larger and more lethal competitor, and flying Pteranodons pose an even graver threat than some of their land-locked brethren. Jurassic Park III is the first in the series not to be based upon a novel by original author Michael Crichton.

For everyone confused about the spino being too clever or silent: they literally tell us it behaves weirdly and is far too aggressive in the movie itself. The island was abandoned because they couldn't control it. If it still doesn't ring any bells: the spino was literally Henry's prototype for the indominus.
I never understood how no one got that lol. Iv always thought it was a genetic mistake too powerful to control.
Bruh, the Trex footsteps could be felt for quite a ways. This Spino is supposed to be bigger and yet no one heard a footstep or trees? BS
@@supersaiyandrgnslayr another comment on here said the dino might've just as well been sleeping in those trees and all it did after waking up (either due to hearing the humans or the dang phone) was stand up. Or it was standing there the whole time unnoticed, like the indominus (minus camouflage). Besides, it's literal nitpicking to whine about that scene: humans have selective senses, all of them were focused on the reunion, some sticks are breaking and some leaves are rustling probably 24/7 on that island, the spino was much leaner and further away that the t-rex, it's also thought to have been feeding on fish mainly, so it's no unreasonable to think it's capable of fairly smooth and quiet movements, I mean, if this is the only thing that annoys on about the movie, then it's a pretty good movie, lol (because there are much better examples of mistakes in it).

Nor T. rex or Spinosaurus are heavy enough to cause a damn earthquake with their steps like that. None of them is freaking Godzilla. That's why they (movie creators) only used this footsteps feature only a couple of times, - when they wanted to create some suspense before an actual t. rex attack happens.
I always loved how Spino was literally just a menace to everyone.
Like all of the T-Rex’s got some kinda nuance to them where they sometimes indirectly help humans, or they’re parents and we sympathize with the animals.
Then there’s Spino who literally just woke up and chose Violence the entire film. 😂😂😂
I think the Spino is angry because they hit its fin in the start of the movie, when the plane is pulling up.

It's a very a agressive creature. It's implied the T-Rex fear it and that it kills anything.
It was somewhat a prototype for the Indominus so it makes sense for it to be so violent.

The Spinosaurus got a running start and used its body mass to break through the fence, which was probably already in not so good condition being exposed to the elements. The steel door is a smaller target so it can't run full speed into it, also the door had several locks.

As many problems as this movie had, when I first saw this scene, chills went up my spine and I went cold when we saw the Spinosaurus. Easily the best scene of the entire movie

Yet, it magically appeared out of nowhere at the end of the movie to kill the raptors and nobody heard it then.

I love how this movie subverts expectation. Earlier, you think after they escape the spino, the action would fall, but then the t-Rex appears, they run, and the 2 Dino’s fight. Here, you think the close call grant and the kid have at the fence is all to it, but you don’t expect the spino to just break the fence like a boss. This movie did that really well, especially for it’s time. It was actually very hard to predict this movie.
Spino was a decent dinosaur.....he didn't interrupt humans when they were talking, he was waiting for them to finish there chat....even spino's parents taught him a good lesson, First knock the door then enter

TriggerdArthur She had to build up speed and rammed the fence with her body. As for the door, it’s too low for her to ram at full speed with her whole body, so she’s just head butting it. Not enough speed and force.
@@selin5045, this fence is weak. It’s just a bunch or hollow pipes. It was meant to be high voltage defence and was not designed for a physical impact of a giant powerful predator running amok.
He can not see into this building, so he's careful. In addition, the height of the door is inconvenient, so he would actually have to tear down a wall.

It ran at full speed to break through the fence. The door is smaller, so it couldn't build up momentum to focus on it.
That is one polite dinosaur. It tiptoed its way to them so its heavy footsteps wouldn't interrupt their conversation and then it patiently waited while the family enjoyed a blissful reunion.

It had a running start with the fence, that's why it turned back and circled around. Plus, even then, crashing through that fence likely isn't a trick you can pull off twice. Spino's big and strong and all but it's still made of meat.

I am low key starting to realize that the creators of Camp Cretaceous wanted to live out Jurassic Park fantasies with their kids.
It's kinda like the ticking crocodile from Peter Pan.
Season 4 of camp cretaceous in my opinion is the most underwhelming season. I still liked it but it felt much slower then the rest of the seasons.
Spinosaurus can wreck a giant heavily fortified gate but can't break through a small door with locks
I think the Spino needed to build up speed to break through the gate but the door was too low to the ground for him to charge and break it down.
@@plaguedoctorj.c4963 You're definitely correct here. You can see the spino walk away from the fence and make good distance before the cut away. It had to ram through the fence, and it probably wasn't at all a comfortable thing to do. The building is too low to ram but too high to crush into.
However, I'd like to know why a predator this big would head slam through a steel and concrete fence for potential prey this small. Like, is there a prey shortage or something the movie doesn't tell us about, or is this all just because we need a major recurring antagonist for the movie?
Also, when the entire fecking military came in, did they fight the spino? I would have loved a scene in that movie where the spino shows up and it fights the military while the group frantically runs for the rescue helicopter. It could have made for a cooler ending, maybe.

@@canadavatar Well, one theory says, that there was two Spinnosaurus on the Isla Sorna, male and female. One of them died because of hit by the airplanes gear, so second was trying to take his revange.
I feel the reason for the spino not getting through the door are 3 reasons.
1) The height.The door is very low compared to the spinosaurs height so it’s extremely difficult for the spinosaur to be able to hit the door or to try and push through it, it’s about 20 feet tall or so, while the doors only about six feet tall.
2) The dino has not enough of long arms and balance to be able to kneel down enough to push through the door.
3) While it may be vengeful, it is still a animal.If the obstacle is too difficult it will give up.The trees earlier for example showed this, and a very low down door way made of metal are the same.

It's not cinematic. Crocodiles act exactly in the same way. They observe their prey for a while...and then they make a surprise attack on them!
@@fm_0523 do you really expect an 11 feet/9 ton dinosaur to be as stealthy as a croc? Also the Spino literally waited for them to turn around before attacking, giving up the element of surprise. A croc would attack while the prey is still distracted because if it makes its presence know, then it risks losing its meal.

Fernando Abreu It’s different for us. I grew up with Jurassic Park 3. I saw it in theaters when I was a kid. My first Jurassic Park film I ever saw in cinema. I remember it well. Jurassic Park is my favorite film of all time but no matter what anyone says I love Jurassic Park 3. Call it blind nostalgia. I don’t care.

As for the action scenes and cinematography, this movie is great. Just wish the story was a little more complex. If this movie was 2 hours like the first 2, it would have been a lot better.

I love all of them! I grew up with Jurassic Park franchise and looking forward to any Jurassic park/world movies. I don't care if the characters are annoying or unrelatable, because to me it's never really about the characters. I just love the whole dino theme of these movies.

I love how throughout the entire movie Spino had beef with them. Considering how much trouble they got into and the fact that this area was home to the big predators, Spino was probably listening to them from afar.

The actualy reason is the T-rex cant see you perfectly if you stay absolutely still
The spino however can see you while u stay still or move

I defense of the Spino for when he hits the door, I think the location plays a big part in how little force it uses. That building is on the edge of a cliff. I highly doubt that the Spino would run at the building towards the cliff. I think he would have stopped before getting there and was hitting the door from a standstill while being careful not to get too close to the cliff.
As proof of this, judging from how fast he was going, the Spino should have hit that door pretty much immediately after they closed it, but they had enough time to put all those locks in place, which suggests the spino slowed down.

@@ChipGlockNow agreed, if that was the intention then the cliff should have been made a bit more obvious? Plot holes are very common, this movie is no exception, so trying to find an explanation is fine but safest shot is that it was just a plot hole.
The Spino should have pushed the building off the cliff to maintain the theme of the previous 2 movies.

Why? Just why? The quadrupedal depiction of Spinosaurus was debunked like 6 years ago. I'm almost speechless. If it walked on it's knuckles on all fours it would've snapped it's wrists and probably broke it's arms.

I don’t know why but this is one of the scenes that get me the most 😅 it just gives me chills. Still today, watching the clip of the spino just standing and watching them makes my stomach turn lol. I don’t know why that scene is so creepy for me but it is! I honestly love the third film because it’s what really got me into the franchise and it made the spinosaurus my favorite dinosaur, so it holds a special place in my heart. I think I got into this franchise when I was around 13-14 and now, I’m 19 and still in love with this franchise. Excited for the new Jurassic World! ❤️
