- Tallullah McLellan formed an unlikely friendship during the coronavirus lockdown with her local delivery driver, Tim Joseph, who is deaf. In a now viral video, McLellan surprised her new friend by using sign language skills she’d learned at school to communicate with him.

When I worked retail, one of my regular customers was a deaf gentleman and when he saw I could communicate with him, he almost cried.

Just goes to show you that hate is taught. Children are pure and don’t see color. They were born to love. Wonderful story.
It takes a village to raise a child, you only need 1 to raise a racist.
This wasn't a story about a black man and a white girl. It was a story about a deaf man and a hearing girl. There wasn't any reason to view it in the context of ethnicity or race, and by doing so, you're doing the very opposite of what your praising the girl for and making the context about color. If you really want to help make the world colorblind (so to speak), then you have to change how you see it too. Otherwise you just perpetuate the problem with comments like yours, no matter how well-intentioned it might have been.
I know I'm responding to a 3 year old comment, but the response is no less relevant today.

What parallel universe did I find myself in today? Just came from the CBS video about the black man saving a white cop from a burning car even though he felt profiled by them. Two videos in a row about white and black people coming together, amazing stuff.

Surprised me because I don't know of any state in the u.s.you can get a license drive if deaf. Do they allow blind drivers in the u.k. Too?
deaf drivers have the right to legally drive in all 50 U.S. states
