Let me know in comments whether you had an issue with this Windows update KB5029351August 22, 2023
Thanks for the heads up, these are always the worst issues and I ain't taking any chances, paused for a couple of weeks
My 3 PCs were fine. When installing on each there was a long PAUSE at the 70% moment. Very long. But then all was fine.
Not with that update, but the update before that stalled on update and basically wrecked my system files. no drivers would update on anything, the first time i tried going into safe mode the PC bluescreened and then on reboot wouldn't even try to go into safe mode. i spent 6 days running down every option before giving up and taking to a specialist near me. he spent about a week trying everything and was finally able to fix it, but he said it was the worst he had ever seen and if the last solution he tried didn't work he would of had to done a full wipe and new install of windows 11.
my system is a 13900k, mobo has 790 chipset, 3080ti, 128gb of ram, three 4tb nvme drives in raid 5, and a 1600watt titanium psu
Bri do you have a video on how to completely disable windows updates on windows 11 ?? So we can renable only when needed. Thx.
I was just fine
As an IT support tech I live in fear of Windows updates...
Me too, we have a test machine we update and monitor before we roll out any windows updates across the network
We all do
Yea our policy is to NEVER install updates for at least 2 weeks or more!
@@kevinm3751 That's a policy I am about to adopt. I miss the good old days when you could select the update you wanted to install. That way you could bypass the bad ones. God Windows has gone to the dogs of late.
lol. Of late?@@CaptainTJMiller1701
It's Microsoft's standard procedure for updates deployment: Use end-users as testers, get feedback, fix possible issues with updates, release updates again.
you do know how stupid your comment is right? the update is a preview update and not final update ergo people intentionally have to click the button to get them and volunteer to test the update before it is then released to the greater public, when you are making an OS it is impossible to have every single hardware combination on the planet and do you do internal testing as much as you can and then you do open beta testing so it can be tested on as many system configurations as possible, this update in the video is a preview update and so it is not a fully tested update hence the point of clicking the option to download it early and it does worn you of this, there is nothing more ignorant that someone agreeing to install a preview ( beta ) that they are informed might contain bugs only for them to complain how buggy updates are when an issue in that preview version happen
Sir if I uninstall update will my data will get removed??
This is actually the main reason why I'm not letting Windows install Cumulative Updates with a "Preview" in it for my systems.
Indeed , this honestly is what bothers me and makes me question there intelligence of some people, by default windows will only install actual updates that have been tested and though this does not mean there will not be issues it does minimize the risk, but fools like the one in the video and commons are like windows sucks and there updates are not tested, and its like you only get a preview update if you intentionally click the option and it does warn you that they are basically test versions that might have issues and yet fools still think they have a right to opt into a beta test and then say over all updates are broken
Not sure what you mean here. (@Equinox187). There is a check box that allows you to get the latest updates as soon they are available. I don't subscribe to this early release, but still get problems on one of my machines with updates. I've been using Windows since Windows 3 was around, and the update problems came with Windows 11.@@EQINOX187
Actually, the thing is Microsoft is testing this BSOD for those people who are running unsupported hardware. But it actually backfired supported hardwares 😂😂🎉🎉🎉
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣yeh itu
No issues, but the update screen froze after waiting 10 minutes to complete. I restarted and the update was installed with no further weirdness, this is the first and only incident since I left the Insider Preview channel last year that I've experienced. So far this is the most stable version of Windows I've used, and I've run them all.
I wish they would just support windows 10 until the end of time. It works and all my computers run it great. Pushing 11 so hard is a stupid thing to do imo. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
It completely bricked my installation so I had to do a reinstall. I think this is even worse for insiders since we get everything. I also noticed the "update" in this video is a preview of an actual update, so I'm guessing this one wasn't even supposed to be released to the public. (I assume in this situation "preview" means test version)
EDIT: The reinstall was from the recovery partition, which probably has an image of Win11 on it since my laptop has no CD/DVD drive.
After doing some research, it is actually a particular BIOS version on MSI motherboards causing this problem. MSI recommends installing the previous version of BIOS to get the computer to boot and uninstall the Win11 update. MSI will release a newer updated version of BIOS in the future.
@FlyingMonkies325 i had an HP going bad due to these updates it was working for 3 years with zero problems. It died on me after updates. I had to reinstall everything. Nothing I would do would fix it
@FlyingMonkies325 downloading from internet any updates before didn’t cause problems these past few updates can’t be trusted. I am keeping windows 10 on my other computers. Windows 11 sucks it’s like ME or vista. They have some stupid OS’s always that cause more problems and headaches than others.
Thanks Brian! , your experience and knowledge is much appreciated.
My pleasure!
I second that. ✔
I got a brand new PC with Windows 11 in October 2022, and I refuse to update Windows due to the many issues and problems with every Windows update that has been coming out since then.
*Glad you see you on UltraTech's live stream yesterday :3*
Huge oversight on the part of microsoft..Serious lack of testing.
Mine's fine, no issues, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.60 GHz Windows 11 Pro 22H2
There are often problems with Windows 11 updates. Never before has there been so much mess with updates as there is in Windows 11.
Oh yes there was: Windows 10.
@@MrKentaroMotoPI So true.
HEY does anyone know where this list of affected processors is? Thanks in advance!
CPU : 3600X
MOBO: MSI X570 A-pro
No issue with the updated , got it last week i believe and 0 issues with it so far
No issue what so ever. Installed fine and worked really well
Thanks for sharing
same here
Same here no problem whatsoever.
Its work fine on my system...
Still happy on Linux Mint with Windows 10 22H2 in a virtual machine. Roll back to the recent snapshot after every run.
The average user doesn't know WTF to do when stuff like this happens. They usually think that the whole PC/Laptop is totally f*cked. There have been serious problems with Windows over recent years and I'm considering moving over the Linux because I really cannot continue putting up with the bullsh*t. I want a system to just work and to work efficiently, that's it. Not navigating a variety of options to fix the system after a damn forced update (or even discovering that Microsoft decided to erase sections of my file system, which has happened in the past). It's just f*ckin nuts.
I baught a mac for this exact same reason, while things can happen during a macOS update its extremely rare that an update breaks your system and when it does apple takes action immediately
@@jordanlivesey4715 Windows is a shit! After the above incident happened all access to recovery options were restricted and I couldn't do anything about it, despite my many hours of trying to get that done. It really pissed me off to say the least. Lost so much graphical art photoshop projects and assets. Some of the assets were backed up but the projects I had forgotten to back up to an external. Outrageous that Microsoft can just get away with that. It was the last straw for me, so shifting to Linux is the option I'm exploring right now via a VM. At least then I CHOOSE when or if an update happens and I CHOOSE what the system does, not Microsoft. 😁
I've always loved linux mint, try that one, its even better if you go for LMDE as the only updates you get for that are security fixes, macOS is the same, I choose when and where to update, it goes and downloads the update but only you tell it when to install the update, chrome OS i worse for auto updates though, once, I had an update on my chromebook and I rebooted to install and the next minute I know I couldn't hear it properly, at least you aint using chrome OS as there is no way to disable auto update, but windows 11 is the worse though, luckilly I've had no issues but my friends have@@Mr_.G
Desktop Linux has a heap of problems, but updating after an install of Ubuntu 22.04 is an absolute breeze compared to installing Windows 10/11. Well under 10 minutes and one reboot required.
If we may ask: WHY EXACTKLY are you using an OS/distrro -- "with a knows heap of problems"? Why don't you use an OS/distro without any such problems instead?
Although I wouldn't say it's any better or worse than Windows but I've been using Linux Mint on my lounge PC for a couple of months now. The main reason is because Windows spies on and tracks pretty much everything you do and Linux doesn't. The community are a lot better than it used to be so any problems that might pop up get sorted out pretty fast. I really don't feel the need to go back to Windows like I've done in the past.
Guess what? You're being spied on regardless, you have a phone as well that tracks and pings towers dude 🤡
Does Linux have problems with WiFi - with drivers for Linux computers?
@@slaydog5102 You can run Graphene OS or even straight up Linux on certain phones, and there are phones that let you hardware switch disable celluar/wifi/bluetooth. Also some privacy is still better than none, you're the real clown here treating people like this in the comment section
Yep! After a fresh install of Ubuntu or Mint the operating system will connect with the update servers & that is similar to what Windows XP would do.
@@birzky I installed Linux on a usb and tested it before installing it and it picked up all my drivers off the bat I’m using the latest Linux mint I highly recommend you give it a try and see how it operates on your computer.
An "unsupported processor" error sounds like they're planning to prevent users from running Windows 11 on older systems.
Yeah, same thought.
Sneaky bas*ards 😂
A round about way to gain compliance.-- Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
Upgrade to Windows 7, you'll love it.
You get your old favorite START menu back, and all those control panels you are familiar with and love.
No cruft, no telemetry, no junk, no nagging beeps all the time, no sweat.
I haven't updated it in 10 years, still works like a dream and with Aero and some other services that are junk turned off... is... fast!
Plus, you don't have to sit through a godawful ad to play cards or Minesweeper.
@FlyingMonkies325 My Win7 system is 64-bit.
My 6 month old Windows 11 Samsung laptop won't even start. I get a clear photo of mountains and sea but as soon as I hit the space bar (which used to bring up a text box waiting for my PIN), the photo becomes seriously blurred and nothing I do improves things. Caps Lock works in that its LED goes on and off alternately when I press the Caps Lock key. Otherwise the laptop might as well be switched off. I have yet to try booting from a bootable USB stick.
Never have I had any troubles as a result of updates, even major ones, as lots of other people were crying and complaining about problems on the internet. I was lucky I guess... I'm not so fond of what Microsoft has been doing with 11 however, I have been studying the current state of Linux distributions as a replacement these last few weeks. And I am impressed by how far Linux has come as a desktop OS.
have you chosen which distro you want to start with, I recommend linux mint because its got nearly everything out of the box, including codecs if you ask for them, otherwise you can install them later, and quite easily too
yeah I'm thinking of installing Mint on my laptop which has a 6th gen i7 which isn't supported by windows 11. I've played around a very little bit with linux so I want the closest thing to Windows as i can get and I guess Mint is the closest.
My favourite thing as a novice to Linux is how customizable it is, if you haven't already try any distro with KDE plasma desktop environment and try out a bunch of global themes in the "get more" menu, it's crazy how cool it is.
I swapped over one of my laptops to predominantly Linux about 6 months ago (windows is installed, but I never use it). My other laptop, I switch between Linux/Windows depending on what I'm doing. My choice of distro was Ultramarine KDE. Its basically Fedora except it installs all the other non-free stuff you'll want (like codecs, NVidia drivers etc).
Installed Linux Mint Mate recently on a 2009 Acer Aspire and a 2008 HP Pavilion. Dual-core Intel (Core Duo) CPU, 4 GB of DDR2 RAM. These two legacy laptops run MUCH FASTER and TOTALLY TROUBLE-FREE. Unlike my 2020 model PC laprop running under Windows. No clue as to why anyone would still use the "Bastard Bill Gates Operating System" in 2023? Any ideas?
I been running Linux mint and testing different versions of it and all I can say is Linux is a lot better then what it used to be if you have a usb and want to try a Linux distro I highly recommend it.
No issues, and I made an update from windows 10 to 11 yesterday, but I have one of the lastest CPU, so I expected it to work fine.
What I experienced was not the BSOD, but an UI that did not respond to any mouse action. I have a dual boot PC, with Win10Home set as default, and Win11Pro (primarily for games) as the other option. The Start menu on win11 would come up, and show me that an update would need to finish. When I clicked on the option 'update and restart' NOTHING would happen - a blue circle near the mouse pointer was all that happened. The tree-finger salute did not work, and a rightclick on the taskbar would show the option to bring up taskmanager, but selecting that just led to a neverending wait.
Eventually, I could only kill Win11 by a hard reset, and boot up again - to Win10, where I saw your video. So today I uninstalled that latest update (after setting Win11 as default) and now everything seems to be back to normal. I am posting this message from Win11. Why can't these software companies do more testing, before they release their updates or upgrades? This update is less than beta-quality!
Anyway, Brian, thanks for your video - it sure did help me!
Well, it seems I cheered too soon; Win11 did work, and I tested it. Then I rebooted, set Win10 as default again, but selected Win11 to start, cause I needed to create a back-up of the working Win11 - and the problem was BACK! I did not see WHICH update was uninstalled (my guess: the Preview update), but I suspect the new 'AMD screen driver' is to blame. It boots up nicely, but the mouse still does not work, ie it does not bring up any program I select. NB: I had not used Win11 for some weeks, so there was a big load of updates to install, and that makes it harder to find the cause.
Maybe it's time to have them on separate machines. I know. You shouldn't have to.@@33lex55
the only company I know that has no issues with updates once they release is apple, macOS updates do break, but extremely rare and when they do, chanses are that apple all ready knows about it and suspends the update to prevent other people from installing it
@@jordanlivesey4715 Hmm, could be, but those things are way too expensive, and they have more control over your PC (and what goes in it) than MS... or even YOU, the user.
Thanks for the heads up Brian as I have an old Ivy Bridge running Windows 11 pro and I might have downloaded tis update just the other day but the machine did start up again - I am going to have to check what I did download and then uninstall it and put it on pause.
Looks like the issue is a clash with MSI's latest 600/700 series motherboard BIOSes, which include support for next-gen Intel CPUs. MSI have recommended installing an earlier BIOS as a workaround until M$ get their act together.

Thanks to @Britec09 for tipping us off, I've paused updates and will be keeping a keen eye out for deep dives from Gamer's Nexus etc.
Working in IT, I'm always told not to install preview cumulative updates and I can see why.
Windows updates used to be amazing from 2017 - 2021, ever since Windows 11 came out, Windows and Windows updates have sucked
I had some trouble. I did not get a blue screen of death. Maybe it was another update, but it messed with my power. When I put my computer to sleep everything would close. I also had trouble with staying signed into gaming hub. I stopped the updater and reinstalled my saved point. I want Windows to work without messing with my computer!!! I’m a little angry with these updates. I like your videos. They are very informative! Keep up the good work.
Mine shows a generic screensaver on login (blue mountain range) and boasts about Microsoft integrating with AI, ever since then it attempts to log in and throws me back to the log in screen after around 15 seconds
I installed it but then it wanted to install itself EVERY TIME I tried to shut my PC down, leaving my PC saying 'Just a moment' and not shutting down.
Days later I reinstalled Windows 11 and all is well.
Great! Lucky to catch this. This update is sitting waiting for me to install. Stopped it. Thanks.
I was using Windows 10 and it gave me an option for Windows 11, it took a long time and when it restarts, my pc no longer recognizes any OS to my PC. I had to reformat it with my old bootable drive, took me hours of update just to get back to my old Windows 10. It sucks.
MS has decades of aggressive telemetry to get pas these : Lower than entry level mistakes..
I got the issue. I changed the Bios setting for Virtualization from disable to enable, and it fixed the situation. Now I was able to install the update, problem now is that if I go to the Bios and Disable the feature I got a Blue Screen in the next boot so I must keep the feature enabled. Processor i9 13900k MSI Board.
Tried to pause, but system says I've reached max extension time. Or does it mean the 5 coming weeks? IDK.
Brian is being unduly forgiving of Microsoft. As he and commentators say, how can people report a problem is they cannot boot into Windows?
It is not for users to assist a very greedy and autocratic company in its work but anyone reporting should enclose an invoice for at least $ 50 to be paid by named cheque -- not some vague token against a future purchase or lost in a 365 account.
Windows 11 was foisted on M'soft users after we were told that Win 10 would be the last and would be an evolving, rolling service. A company which breaks a promise and and causes great worry about an entirely new edition only working with relatively new machines is worse than dishonesty. It is stealthy deception and, as engineers have proved, the "security" measures claimed to be part of dictating hardware functionality were not true claims.
Other deliberate disabling of aspects of Windows has happened as well, e.g. rebuilding MBR and rt click aim to manipulate the hardware market. So-called 'unsupported' Intel CPUs will and do work, thus M'soft Corp is misrepresenting a major manufacturer in the industry.
Perhaps boycotting and strong legal action would cause the erratic and secretive corporation to mend its ways.
Preview updates doesn't install automatically. I am not going to install preview cumulative updates at all.
Power button light doesn't blink in sleep mode i don't know if this happend after the update
thanks for the heads up, This update I tried it but I had no problem with it except it took longer to update.
I run SFC after updates to check, found problems and they were fixed.
At least with Linux you can easily load an earlier working kernel at boot time. Most of the update problems I've had come from driver updates which are in the kernel. So if it doesn't work, just boot back into the last working kernel at boot and uninstall the newest one until there is a fix. Microsoft on the other hand is often far harder to isolate the problem and fix. I've never had as many problems with Linux updates as Microsoft.
i was afraid id have to wait more than 3 to 5 minutes to hear from the person using unix (oh OHHH i mean umm Linux yeah thats it LIN UH X)
@@mos8541 Because Linux doesn't force updates on end-users as their beta testers. Updates easily undone without hours of hair pulling resulting in complete reinstalls. Windows updates has bricked my gaming machine 3 out of the last 4. If Linux had the gaming support by devs that Windows has, I wonder just how many people would still be using Windows at all. Microsoft needs to die.
However, the time you save with easy updates in Linux is then lost trying to fix problems that Windows users never have.😂
Didn't know there could be a problem with it, but It's waiting in the wings for when I'm ready!
Tom's Hardware site stated that MSI Boards of the Intel 600 / 700 Series are affected. Since I have AM4 / Asrock B550M I did not encounter any issues during the Windows update install.
I'm using a Ryzen 9 5950X with an ASUS motherboard (TUF GAMING X570-PLUS, BIOS Ver. 3603) and had no problem installing that update so far.
Rolled it back. I can open one or so things from desktop icon after reboot, then all desktops icons are 'frozen'...I have access thru menu system.
Also WIN 11 shutdown and restart takes so very long. DELL XPS system that is 6 1/2 years old.
Happened to me days ago. Untested garbage, just like games and everything else. Companies simply don't give a flying fuck anymore.
I think that I had this issue on one machine. It happened during the update during shutdown/update. I was concerned, but it rebooted normally. I check for updates and it said no updates.
I personally had no issue at all but Microsoft are a disgrace for doing this without proper engineered testing!
Is this just happening on old PC's with old unsupported hardware only?
I learned to customize updates from you, Britec, years ago when I found your channel. Since taking that advice, I've been able to avoid such disasters like these. Greatly appreciate your safety net videos, M8👍🏽
Thanks for the heads-up. The update was on my computer but hadn't been installed yet so I was able to pause.
I was installing win 10 22h2 upgrade on my oldest 32-bit machine, and it choked on one of the updates and wouldn't boot. Had to burn a CD of the 32-bit version to boot to, because my oldest doesn't support booting from USB. Found my way into Repair This PC, and the Boot Manager loaded the repair tool to undo the latest update. Then it re-booted okay without the latest update. Waited a day, then resumed updates and this time it worked. ;D Happy.
Another reason I stick with 10. I've noticed how much more stable it's been since 11 came out.
Still running Win7 (I support legacy software that I doubt will run under W10). And after the fiasco with Microsoft trying to sneak-update me to W10 (which I caught and killed), I also decided not to apply the last Win7 update, just in case Microsoft had included any "inducements" to go to W10.
I never had any problems with this update running Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Thanks for sharing
When i restarted my pc to install the update like a week ago i had the blue screen loop , but mine just said critical process died , i managed to fix it using some cmd commands i saw on youtube ( i couldnt uninstall the updates for some reason ) i had to reinstall my whole windows and still have crashes when i try to play any game with the blue screen apearing from time to time ( do u recommend i go back to windows 10 ?? )
Woke up to this...on a new laptop that I've had for under a month. Had my previous one without issues since I had stopped the auto updates...but this one reminded me that I was supposed to have done it. 😢
My laptop always tells me it won't support Windows 11. I'm just fine with that!
I saw it looming on my update list and promptly paused all updates for the next two months until they get their act together. Smh.
Im thankful I was informed about this before it became an issue.
Already installed this update on 23rd August but have not faced any problems till now, My processor is a Ryzen 7 5800H
I have a feeling this is happening to users that may not have passed the W11 compatibility test.
So glad that I use NixOS so I can just roll back to the previous good configuration if something went wrong

I’ve just built a new pc a few days ago and this been updated on my pc , but my pc seems fine booting up , should I uninstall it or leave it as not done any blue screen?
Thanks for the heads up. That update was waiting to be installed.
I delayed my windows 11 updates as you suggested but now I can't see my settings panel on my desktop screen. The problem isn't because I turned updates off - it started when I tried to daisy chain 2 monitors together. The setting app opens but won't open up past the icon on my taskbar. I've done a system restore, etc. Do you have any suggestion videos that would fix this issue? Thanks for the help.
I don't know how I did it after 5 hours of work but I half-way fixed it. At least I can see my apps on my desktop with my thunderbolt connection but not with my hdmi.
I didn’t have an issue with it, because I went straight to Settings and saw the update waiting to be installed. Thankfully, you’d already advised us to turn off automatic updates….
I can’t even get to my windows page to check the update I currently have. Can anyone help me.
I support all the pc’s at work. We have certain programs like Cargowise which boggles a lot too since it uses RDP. It runs fine on Windows 10 but has a few issues on 11. so far so good. I installed that update 5 days ago and so far no issues.

Has the problem been fixed? And also does anyone know what mother board and cpu does the update not like? I have a gigabyte m board and a ryzen 3 processor so am i good?
I’ve had weird things happening with win 10 as well. A couple Reboots, bsod, usb issues.
i updated a few days ago and my pc is fine, but im scared that something will end up happening in the end. should i uninstall the update or do i not need to worry about something happening at this point?
Hello, Brian! Which type of computer would you recommend for all personal needs(what is better)? A laptop or a PC? I'm thinking of buying a new device, and i can't decide.
PC, I dislike laptops with a passion if you don't intend to use it on the road ! With a laptop you're pretty much stuck to that tiny icky screen and odd icky keyboard !
@@etow8034 Well, to each its own. I will probably buy both...😅 There are some good high quality laptops(Dell, HP, ASUS, etc.) but some are just meh. I can partially agree with you.
Thank for that, btw for me. after windows 11 update on my computer, it always freeze and lagging with or without playing games. Now i'll try as suggested by you.
After Windows Update installed a video card driver that generally screwed over my system with a permanent VGA adapter instead of the driver for my video card I used the policy editor to stop all updates from loading from now on. If they can't do a good job with their updates then I will choose when to install it.
i use linux so its no enforced updates. It was the only way for me to permanently remove the issues windows got me. I still update and keep is safe but its on my terms and times. I can update and continue to use my operating system, no forced reboot or blue lock out screen while updating.
There is a simple app that turns on and off the updates with a single click. Britech has a video on it. It's called windows update blocker by sordum.
The updates are like the worst of the old MS-DOS days, at least with one of my two PCs. The one with an I5 processor handles Win 11 updates fine, but the other, with a Pentium Gold processor that's on the list of acceptable CPUs for Windows 11, gets into knots with updates. I've had to one clean total re-install, and looks like I will need a second one. Both PCs have Asus motherboards ranked as Win 11 suitable by the maker and by Microsoft, and similarly with processors, but the less powerful machine struggles. Not so much blue screen of deaths as painfully slow start-up then series of locked screens.
Thank you for providing this information.
That’s why I keep my windows partition on Airplane mode most of the time.
yep...happened to me, I am on msi z790 edge.. Its apparantly if owners of these boards (also z690) have recently installed the latest msi bios which supports the up coming new processors. The new windows update does not recognise the cpu in the system hence the problem. Took me 3 hrs to sort it out without having to do a new install off windows
Sorry to hear that
I’m not much of a tech expert but is it okay for my laptop to download now, I paused until October. My laptop is a 11th gen intel and i5-1135G7 for my processor
hey man, when i open x plane 12 it shows up a gpu buffer error, how can i send you the photo?
I 100 percent agree, linux may be good but it doesn't work on everything, arch for instance, that's known for being the most up to date linux distribution but it breaks more often because of minimal testing, when it comes to hardware support like windows its hit or miss, the real winner is macOS, because it was made with your mac in mind, because apple designs both the hardware and the software so that generally when you are installing updates you don't need to worry about anything for the most part, I'm always cautious when it comes to updates and have a backup plan should an update have issues regardless of what operating system I am running
MacOS costs an arm and leg tho, if you're not a total nincompoop, use macrium reflect to make backups.
timeshift is a better backup sollution
Mac's have had a history of bad hardware failures, although I'm not sure if that's still the case with the M1's but it was a big problem years ago for like a decade. Nothing is really perfect.
that was intels problem, not apples, the m1s have had no issues so far@@celestialsylveon6453
Let me know in comments whether you had an issue with this Windows update KB5029351 is fixed please thanks
Hi Brian, The update is showing up on my laptop just wanted to say thanks for the heads up.
After installing this update my system had so many issues. Not to mention, it was a forced update for some reason.
I have paused my daughters updates ( which is that update) for 5 weeks. Will you let us know when it is safe to install this update???? Thx
I don’t have any issues with windows updates
So what i need to do never update my pc
Brian ; is there a way to *halt a KB _in_progress_ where the user can see the download has already started? I selected the _pause_ 1 week option on either KB5029351 (WIN11) or KB5029331 (Win10 22H2) and that has halted all updates. But I can see that update is pending in the local catalog cache. I will keep searching for a way to control the local cache (this is a bit too adavnced for most of my Clients). thanks for the videos; I check in to your channel about once per week just to see if I missed something...
I also have to check to see if I have any of these MSI motherboards and firmware as well...
Hello everyone, the issue has been fixed with the steam window when shutting down and the black lock screen
My windows repair isnt showing up wtf do i do 😭😭
I did lose data during one of these updates! And it occurred after the update failed an uninstalled itself! Is microsoft recruting sh*t to test?
My system crash just updated it, anyone knows how to log in safe mode to uninstall
I'd not heard of this before, my unsupported pc had already updated itself, I am lucky it seems to be working
Windows 11 only officially supports a far more limited set of hardware anyway by virtue of the TPM 2.0 and Intel Gen8 / Ryzen 2 requirements for installing the operating system in the first place so it should, in theory, be easier than ever for Microsoft to test these updates before release!!!
Win 11 is fine. Turn off get latest updates. Do backups use. Goto control panel use backup and restore win 7. It backs up system and apps data everything. If you don't blame yourself
