Hi Brittnee, thanks so much for the video! I didn't realize that this was something that anyone could make and I think I might have to give it a try! I thought the chocolate heart looked great to begin with and I like the gold you added, however, it might have looked even cooler on the marbled strawberries :) Thanks again for sharing!
Thank you!! haha Agree! I do love how the marbled and gold berries turned out! :)

Oh my word, my husband would LOVE this!! Perfect for Vday!! New sub here.
Aww thank you! So glad to have you here! :) I hope you give it a try and your husband loves it!
Superb
Thanks 😃
Great job!! I can pull 20 of them without an issue, then the next 10 will break every single time. I always think of my chocolate making as therapeutic so I don’t get upset when they continue to break. The first one I made, 10 years ago before the molds even came out, was beautiful & they didn’t have the convex molds. It was an actual silicone baking “pan” & the smash hearts were born, lol.
Hahaha exactly! Oh wow that is so interesting! 🤩😍 OG!
A new subscriber, this is very cool !
🥰 awwww thanks so much!!
Maravilhoso ❤❤❤❤❤❤
☺️🥰 thank you!!
EXQUISITE surprise 🥺♥️
VERRRRRRY EXQUISITE!
Very nice
thank you! :)
Ohhhhhhh myyy this is a good one 💔
:D YAY passed the Brai test!
Those edits were so cool!! I thought it was going to be baby yoda inside the heart 😂
Thanks! Wow I wish I could put baby yoda in a heart to surprise someone with!! :D
Super
Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this recipe! Can I ask if you tempered any of the chocolate before making the marbled strawberries? Thank you
You're welcome!! For this video I didn't, I just used compound chocolate that is already stable just to make things easy. But you can definitely use tempered chocolate for better quality!
I love this one! I don’t know what I’d put inside because I’m not sure I’d want to break my heart. 😂 However, I would do it in a “heartbeat” for a necklace like that.
Haha sometimes it's sad to break what you make, but this one was VERY satisfying to hammer!!!
This is so amazing
@@zaheerhussain253 Aww thanks!!! :)
Hi Brittnee, thanks for making such a detailed tutorial! Love it! I have several questions, hope you can help me out.
1. What solution did you add into the gold glitter dust to make it runny?
2. Why do the heart i did sweat after bringing out from fridge? Your's look flawless 😅
Hopefully i can do better next time🤞 Thanks in advance ya
Thank you!! :) So to paint the gold you'll need to add alcohol because it evaporates quickly and just leaves the powder. I prefer lemon extract because it smells delicious! You can also use vodka. And then 2. the chocolate can get condensation due to moisture in the fridge or freezer. This is hard to control in a regular fridge or freezer with other items in it. Once you fill the mold it can help to cover it with plastic wrap to protect the chocolate! Or try placing the whole thing in a covered container!
Hope it helps!! Thanks for the comment :)
Do you have a link to buy the glittery powder ! They look beautiful 😍
Yes, just check the link in the description! :)
I like your smile😂 love from India, Kerala♥️
😁😁😁
What liquid did you use to mix with the lust dust to paint the lines on the chocolate? Loved it👏👏
Thank you!! I always use lemon extract! :)
❤🎉
💞💞💞
I am making them for my 3 grandchildren and fill it with chocolate candles and jelly beans chocolate covered strawberries
Cute!!
Hello!!! Quick question, I don't have Vodka on hand, what else could I use to wipe down the silicone?
If you don't have vodka you'll be ok to just wash with hot water and milk dish soap. You just want to avoid water spots when the water dries so I like to shake it until most water drops fly off (cause they dry really fast) or you can even use a hair dryer. If you have a clean towel that doesn't leave fuzzies you can also use that, but I find that fibers like to cling to the silicone a lot. Hope that helps!
You,are realy cute . i love your vidéos.😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Awww thank you, I am so glad! :)
How do we get edible Metallica paint? I’m assuming edible luster and I’ve seen suggestions that say mix with everclear but idk how true that is .. seeking other options🙂
Yep! You can use any edible gold luster dust and mix with vodka or lemon extract. I use lemon extract because it works really great, smells good, and tastes good too! The paint I'm using here is for decorations only (I didn't eat the heart), that is why it is sooo metallic. One brand I've heard good things about is Edible Art Cake Paint. And funny you should ask this question because over the weekend I purchased over 10 different gold luster dusts and will be making a comparison video in a couple of weeks on which edible metallic gold is the best! So keep an eye out for that! :)
Prelepo pozdrav iz Srbije
Zdravo! Hvala što ste ovdje! :) Oprostite ako moj prijevod nije točan!
What’s the type of brush u used to outline the heart?
I'm not sure the exact brush because I've had them forever but I know that they are synthetic Utrecht round tip brushes. Not exactly sure on the size, but something very fine!
Just made one for the first time and when it was time to remove, the two layers were separate.....do you know why that could be?
Yes, I think I have experienced that before. My best guess is that it happens when the chocolate goes out of temper. The layers don't stick together because the chocolate structures aren't the same. Try it again, you will get it to work! The most important thing is to always make sure you never get your chocolate too hot when you are melting it and that you are using the correct chocolate to begin with. Stabilized chocolate is easiest to work with to get familiar. Hope this helps!
Loved this video! One question, what did you use to add to the edible gold dust? Vodka?
You can use vodka! But my favorite is lemon extract! It smells so good ☺️
How long do you have to put it in the refrigerator? The first time
I usually put it in the fridge for 10-20 minutes I'd say!
Hi beautiful job!! Can i store in fridge a day before giving to my customer’s?
I would store the strawberries in the fridge but not the chocolate heart. If you store it in the fridge and it gets too cold you do run the risk of your chocolate blooming or streaking. It should be perfectly fine at room temperature! :)
@@BrittneeKay thank you 😊
Where’d you get the edible gold leaves?
Check out the link in my description and it'll take you to exactly where I buy them on Amazon!
How did you make the gold paint so gold? (If that makes sense). I’ve used dark chocolate, and I have edible dust, and edible glitter but I have to paint over it a million times, and still it doesn’t paint as gold as yours. Any help???
So, the gold paint that I use is VERY metallic. In fact, on the bottle it says that it isn't edible. I think it's hard to truly get a food safe gold dust. But it is made by a pastry company so it is kind of confusing to me! So I don't really use it on things I would sell, but I do use it on personal projects or pastry projects that I don't eat, or I'll eat around it. I'm still on the hunt for an edible product that has the same level of metallic! Depending on what you want to use it for, you may want to check it out. Because it says on the bottle "inedible" I feel I need to make that clear to you here as well. But here is the link if you're interested in checking it out: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DCZ17CH/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=brittneekay0c-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B07DCZ17CH&linkId=b1c02e989b6df81d8b2eac6a59fe3f6f
@@BrittneeKay thank you so much for the clarification and for letting me know it’s not edible. I appreciate it! 😊
@@jatkari You're definitely welcome! Thanks for the question! :)
What are the gold leaves made of
24k edible gold!
Can you please link the paint and brush you used for this video. Thank you.
Check out the description now, I just added them for you! Just note that the gold I used in this video is non-toxic, but also technically inedible. I use it for demonstration and on decorations that aren't consumed, FYI. I can't find the exact same brush set, but this one is very similar and should work the same. I just use one of the smallest round brushes. Hope this helps!! :)
@@BrittneeKay Thank you, for replying. I appreciate that. I enjoy watching your videos, I've learned more about making the hearts, cocoa bombs and other treats you make. I hope I can make some of these soon. The videos help me with my anxiety at times and motivate me to create treats for others. Thanks.🍁🧡🍁...Norma.
@@normadiaz9726 Aww that makes me so happy to hear! 🥰 Thank you!
Hi can I use any other, then Vodka to wipe the mould?.... x
If you want you can just use hot water and soap and it should still work great! The vodka is just a little extra step that is optional!
@@BrittneeKay thank you... x
Where do I get the type of chocolate?
Check the link in the description for milk or dark chocolate a'peels. They will need to be melted carefully but don't require tempering. Good luck! 🙂
so you don’t do another one to put them together to make the whole heart bottom and top?
No I don’t but you can! It just won’t sit flat because of the geometric shape. But you could make it whole and then glue it to a plate with melted chocolate on its side!
Baking summer
Can cake be put in the middle of the large mold
It can! You can put whatever you'd like in there. You can stack the cake in afterward or you can bake the cake in the silicone mold. Make sure the brand of mold you buy is able to be baked in first :)
Thanks
@@takieshahoward8348 Of course! :)
hi can we change vodka with others?
If you don’t want to use vodka you can just wash with hot water and a tiny bit of soap. Make sure to dry it off to prevent water spots 🙂
will any brand of dark chocolate work? or is there a specific one i should use
You can use any brand you like! Just make sure that it is a compound chocolate or candy melt if you don't want to temper it. That would be a brand like Wilton candy melts. Couverture chocolate you would need to temper or it will not work. But if you go to a craft store the chocolate you find there should be stabilized and ready to go, just melt it carefully and slowly! :)
@@BrittneeKay great! if i just want to use plain old dark chocolate chips, will i need to temper them?
@@sebalejandro5996 Oh good question! I totally left out chocolate chips. I would not use chocolate chips! That is the number one rule with chocolate making. They are very different than both couverture and candy coatings. You can sometimes get away with using them in molds like plastic or silicone, but they just aren't made for projects like these, they are made for baking. I would definitely recommend that you go to Walmart or Michaels and just grab some Wilton candy melts. Those will be easy and work great for chocolate making like this! :)
@@BrittneeKay thank you so much!
@@BrittneeKay can i use chocolate wafers? they look pretty similar to candy melts so i just want to make sure!
What chocolate did you use?...I want to try these one day....but not ruin it...
See the links in my description! You'll want to just find dark chocolate candy melts, a'peels, or wafers! :)
Please how much chocolate is enough to make the heart
Ohh hmmm, well if you use my method of twirling it around to coat the sides of the mold I would say melt about 2 cups of chocolate and that should be enough! If you are also dipping strawberries I would add another cup to that!
@@BrittneeKay thank you very much 😍😍😍😍
@@les_delices_de_saby Of course!!
My hands would be sooo shaky while painting but it looks so beautiful
Haha mine were! Thank you!!!

What would be good to put in it for a gender reveal
Oh a gender reveal is a cute idea! hmm You could hide any small baby item like a blue or pink binkie! You could make small chocolates using pink or blue chocolate! That's what I would do! Maybe dip some oreos or some small caramels in pink or blue and hide them inside!
Thanks for the idea
Hadley says I need to make it for her haha 😂
YOU BETTER LISTEN TO HER!!! 😆😆😆
Wonderful hearts. I am upset because I made chocolate bombs but they melted so fast, the chocolate was not good 😭
Thanks! Oh no! Why do you think the chocolate wasn't good?
@@BrittneeKay. the place where I live is hot and I think I need a chocolate that resists high temperature.
Sorry if I have grammar mistakes but I am not an English native speaker
@@anaesparza6874 Oh yes, that could definitely be a problem. Try finding a compound stabilized chocolate that is labelled "candy melts" or "a'peels" or "wafers". Those are all kinds that don't need tempering and should be very easy to work with. Try to get your working area down to under 75 degrees if possible!
@@anaesparza6874 You are doing great!! :)
Y use vodka to clean & not water
Because it is high in alcohol it cleans well and evaporates quickly so that there are no water droplet spots!
@@BrittneeKay thank you! I’ve never seen or heard of these before I just some how saw your video on here. Now you have me wanting to make for my gran childrens birthdays! Just not sure which silicon pan to use now. I see one with something on bottom and nothing on the other Pans bottom? Which do you recommend
Thank you again, loved the video!
