The Gumby is brilliant! My favorite by far. You have a “u” three sided kitchen set up if you want/need it, if you’re cooking for a bunch of people or if you had collapsible/folding stools you could just have a bunch of people hanging out together. This would be fantastic even for someone living in a large van but doesn’t want a permanent kitchen because they need floor space. I could also see this being used for an artist/artisan set up for a van dweller. Either sewing, journal binding or jewelry making, whatever. Could use for demos or teaching a small class at gatherings- a pop up jewelry making class for van dwellers! Or a craft show table/display set up Oh, the mind reels! I love, love, love it. Wish I could afford it... and I don’t even have a car let alone a van. But it’s on my dream list. Wouldn’t mind a couple more storage spots but you can’t have everything.lol
I'm enjoying using my car back in Dubai, slotted nicely into the back of my Troopy. First Drifta kitchen in the UAE I think. ANR sorted it all out for me.
Christopher Saul hey Christopher, Creeky from Drifta here. Awesome to hear ANR got you sorted!! Would love to see some photos of the setup you have from them. Can you send me some to creeky@drifta.com.au Cheers 👍👍
Could you show the set up of the Gumby Special or the Double Burner Kitchen, free standing kitchens from scratch, as it lifts out of the boot or off back of a ute, as a single person task, please?
Dont have a vid really but you pull it out half way out of the rear of your truck. fold down one side of the legs and once you move it to the spot where you want to have it standing you fold down the other legs. So one man job
I went to the brendale store in Brisbane last week to buy a 2 burner kitchen & was told by the salesman we don't sell them here go to the website & it'll be 6 months wait. I'll be making my own.
Can the Gumbie Special be modified into a Swingout mounted on the Tailgate and the stove space looks bigger than the others, howbig is that space. I have a large butane stove and the space on your others is to small.
hey Brettr0 we stain the timber black first before sealing it and then sending and applying a gloss top coat. can be touched up with black tinted spray can lacquer from bunnings
Just a tip when producing product videos... Do it in a studio with a professional camera crew with no background noise in a controlled environment. Yes we get that Drifta is local based business but your international now and really need to step up your product videos.... really, you do.
Great Kitchen designed by Tim I like the two prep areas each side. that will sell for sure
That Gumby Special is awesome!

I love that new kitchen. Nice job
Great design Gumby..I've already ordered one
How much is the Gumby special worth?? Love that the gas cooker shelf is wider, would fit the Colman Hyperflame stoves I reckon
My Troopy was fitted out in Gloucester, but the vehicle is now in the UK.
Well done Gumby, that’s a great set up and super compact. Would be great to see that incorporated into a drawer system somehow

I like the Gumby special. Those that make a U shape around you could also serve well at craft shows to display smaller items.
Are those metal legs on the Gumby a part that can be bought anywhere? Love the design, great work mate!
Awesome 👏 will be using mine at the kangaroo valley BBQ comp this weekend. Come and have a look and a chat. Blue dog BBQ (Scott)
Nice setup!!!

not 6 months, but 4-5 atm .. that's Aussie made, very low capacity.. L
Out of interest, how thick is the plywood you guys are using? Looks to be too thick for 12mm, but I would have thought that 18mm would be too heavy?
MamboTek we use 12mm ply 👍
Andrew Creek thanks, thought it must have been 12mm, just looks thicker on camera....
Hi Guys what type of timber are they made off thanks
all made from plywood👍
i think it's time to list Drifta on the Australian Stock exchange , the only problem it will become a takeover target !
