I’ve seen quite a few good lesbian characters and storylines on tv, but hers has to be one of my favorites. She’s not “that gay kid,” and she’s breaking gender norms and standing up for what she believes in- something that a lot of shows still have yet to accomplish. She reminds me of myself and I think she is such a relatable person. Her coming out story is sweet, important and a bit heartbreaking. Thank you to Isabella Gomez for playing (and bringing to life) such a fantastic character!

At the moment Elena is out as a lesbian to everyone except Lydia. Now Lydia was talking about the amazing dress Elena would be wearing for the ocassion and she said "All of the girls will wish that it was them inside your dress." It sounds like a sexual innuendo and therefore Elena just said "Dare to dream." And that is the joke. Hope it helped..
